本発明は、ヒンジ装置並びにヒンジ装置を用いた電子機器に関するものである。

【従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題】
例えば、携帯式電子機器の典型例としての携帯式電話機においては、携帯式電話機器本体に表示画面を備えた表示体が折り畳み自在に取り付けられた折り畳みタイプと、携帯式電話機本体自体に表示画面を備えた一体タイプとがある。

この一体タイプは、軽量化と利便性の点で秀れるとされ、一方、スイッチの誤作動防止、コンパクト化、デザインの多様性などの点において折り畳みタイプは秀れるとされる。

ところで、この折り畳みタイプは、本体と表示体とがヒンジ装置を介して枢着される。

具体的には、このヒンジ装置は、表示体1に回り止め状態に連結する第一連結体3にカム部4を設け、本体2に回り止め状態に連結する第二連結体5に前記カム部4に係合するカム係合部6を設け、このカム部4とカム係合部6とが係合状態のとき表示体1と本体2とが回動ロックされるように構成し、前記カム係合部6に対して前記カム部4を係合離反方向にスライド移動自在に設けると共に、このカム部4を係合方向に付勢する係合付勢機構7を前記第一連結体3に設け、前記表示体1と第二部材2との相対回動に伴い、このカム部4とカム係合部6とが係脱可能となるように構成するとともに、このカム部4とカム係合部6とが係合していない状態から係合しようとする相対回動付勢力が生じるように構成したものである。尚、本実施例と同一構成部分には同一符号を付した。

ところで、この従来から提案されるヒンジ装置は、実際に本体2に対して表示体1を開閉回動させると、ガタついて雑音が発生するという問題点が指摘されている。

本出願人は、このヒンジ装置の回動時に生じる雑音の問題点に着目し、種々の実験を繰り返し行った結果、極めて商品価値の高い画期的なヒンジ装置並びにヒンジ装置を用いた電子機器を開発した。

【発明の実施の形態】
好適と考える本発明の実施の形態(発明をどのように実施するか)を、図面に基づいてその作用効果を示して簡単に説明する。

カム部4とカム係合部6が係合することで第一部材1と第二部材2とは回動ロックされる。このカム係合部6に対してカム部4は、係合付勢機構7により係合付勢されている為、このカム係合部6に対するカム部4が係合した回動ロック状態は保持される。

従って、従来から提案されるヒンジ装置は、第二部材2に対して第一部材1を回動させた際、第一連結体3内でカム部4が回動することでガタついて雑音が生じている。

この点、本発明は、第一連結体3の内面長さ方向に形成された係止条11にガイドさせてカム部4をスライドさせる構成であるから、つまり、カム部4をガイドする部位を比較的成形精度の出し易い直線状の係止条11を形成することで構成したから、カム部4の良好なスライド機能と良好な回り止め機能とを達成し得る高品位な製品が簡易且つ確実に得られることになり、よって、第一連結体3内でカム部4がガタつくのを可及的に抑制することができ、第二部材2に対して第一部材1を回動させた際における雑音が可及的に抑制されることになる。

【実施例】
本発明の具体的な実施例について図面に基づいて説明する。

本実施例は、図1に示すように折り畳みタイプの携帯電話に適用した場合を示したもので、表示画面を備えた表示体を第一部材1とし、操作部を備えた本体を第二部材2とし、この本体2に対して表示体1が重合した閉塞状態から表示体2を例えば120度まで回動した開放状態(通話状態)とすることができる枢着構造に本発明のヒンジ装置Aを適用している。
