【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、ネットワークを介して、発送媒体の発送依頼を受け付けると共に、それに応じて発送媒体の印刷・発送を行う発送代行システム、発送代行装置及び発送代行プログラムに関する。

【従来の技術】
近年、デジタルカメラやカメラ付き携帯電話の普及に伴い、写真撮影が気軽に行われるようになっている。デジタルカメラやカメラ付き携帯電話で撮影した画像データは、デジタルカメラやカメラ付き携帯電話のメモリに保存できる他、パーソナルコンピュータに転送することにより、ハードディスクなどの大容量記憶媒体に大量保存することができ、しかも、電子メールに添付すれば、知人の端末に簡単に送ることができる。

一方、デジタルカメラやカメラ付き携帯電話で撮影した画像データは、カラープリンタなどで印刷することにより、従来の銀塩写真と同様に、写真プリントとしてアルバムに保存したり、写真たてに入れて飾ることができる。また、写真プリントであれば、電子メール端末の有無にかかわらず写真を送ることができ、しかも、画像データを電子メールに添付する場合に比べ、写真プリントの方が喜ばれる傾向がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、画像データから写真プリントを得るには、カラープリンタ、専用紙、インクなどを用意する必要がある許りでなく、印刷に時間がかかる不都合がある。また、写真プリントを知人に送る場合は、発送のための作業が必要になる。しかも、従来においては、一枚のプリント用紙に一画像を印刷していたため、写真を見る際の一覧性や表現力に劣り、また、複数の画像を印刷して送る場合は、ハガキによる安価な郵送ができなくなる不都合があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の如き実情に鑑みこれらの課題を解決することを目的として創作された本発明の発送代行システムは、ネットワークを介して、発送媒体の発送依頼を受け付けると共に、それに応じて発送媒体の印刷・発送を行う発送代行システムであって、少なくとも、受取人情報及び画像データを送信する発送依頼端末と、該発送依頼端末が送信した受取人情報及び画像データを受信し、受信した受取人情報を発送媒体の所定箇所に印刷すると共に、受信した画像データを発送媒体の複数箇所に印刷する発送代行装置と、前記発送依頼端末及び発送代行装置を接続するネットワークとを備えることを特徴とする。つまり、受取人情報及び画像データを発送依頼端末から発送代行装置に送信するだけで、受取人情報及び画像データが印刷された発送媒体を発送することが可能になる。これにより、カラープリンタ、専用紙、インクなどを用意しなくても、画像データを写真プリントとして迅速に発送することができる許りでなく、切手の購入、投函などの発送作業も省くことができる。また、発送媒体の複数箇所に画像データを印刷するため、写真の一覧性や表現力が向上する許りでなく、郵送料が安いハガキとして発送することができる。
また、前記発送媒体は、画像印刷面を剥離自在な接着カバーで隠蔽するカバー付きハガキであることを特徴とする。この場合においては、郵送料が安いハガキとして発送しても、発送媒体の画像印刷面を隠蔽し、プライバシーを厳守することができる。
また、前記発送媒体の画像印刷面は、ハガキ本体から剥離自在な粘着シールで形成されることを特徴とする。この場合においては、印刷画像をハガキから剥がし、写真シールとしてコレクションできるなど、その用途を拡張することができる。
また、前記発送媒体は、接着カバー又は粘着シールによって隠蔽される部分に、所定の割合で景品の当選情報が印刷されることを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送媒体に当たりくじの機能を付加し、発送代行サービスの利用を促進することができる。
また、前記発送依頼端末は、デジタルカメラ機能及びネットワーク接続機能を備えたカメラ付き携帯端末であることを特徴とする。この場合においては、カメラ付き携帯端末のデジタルカメラ機能を利用して気軽に写真撮影を行うことができる許りでなく、撮影した画像データ及び受取人情報を、カメラ付き携帯端末のネットワーク接続機能を利用して発送代行装置に送信するだけで、画像データが印刷された発送媒体を受取人に発送することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記発送依頼端末から受信した単一の画像データを、発送媒体の複数箇所に対して複写印刷することを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送媒体の表現力を高めることができ、しかも、粘着シール上に印刷すれば、同じ写真シールを複数作成し、これを発送することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記発送依頼端末から受信した複数の画像データを、発送媒体の複数箇所に対して、所定回数ずつ複写印刷することを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送媒体の表現力を高めることができ、しかも、粘着シール上に印刷すれば、同じ写真シールを複数作成し、これを発送することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記発送依頼端末から受信した複数の画像データを、発送媒体の複数箇所に対して、１回ずつ印刷することを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送媒体の表現力を高めることができ、例えば、アルバム形式、日記形式、インデックスプリント形式、画像カタログ形式などの発送媒体を発送することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記発送依頼端末から表題データを受信すると共に、この表題データを前記画像データと共に所定の配置で発送媒体に印刷することを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送媒体に、画像と共に任意の表題を印刷することが可能になる。これにより、発送媒体の表現力を高めて、発送代行サービスの利用を促進することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記発送依頼端末から私信データを受信すると共に、この私信データを前記画像データと共に所定の配置で発送媒体に印刷することを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送媒体に、画像と共に任意の私信を印刷することが可能になる。これにより、発送媒体の表現力を高めて、発送代行サービスの利用を促進することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記発送依頼端末から各画像データに対するコメントデータを受信すると共に、これらのコメントデータを前記画像データと共に所定の配置で発送媒体に印刷することを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送媒体に、画像と共に各画像に対するコメントを印刷することが可能になる。これにより、発送媒体の表現力を高めて、発送代行サービスの利用を促進することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記発送依頼端末から画像データの撮影日時データを受信すると共に、この撮影日時データを前記画像データと共に所定の配置で発送媒体に印刷することを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送媒体に、画像と共にその撮影日時を印刷することが可能になる。これにより、発送媒体の表現力を高めて、発送代行サービスの利用を促進することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記撮影日時データを、画像データのファイル名から自動的に作成することを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送依頼端末で撮影日時データを入力する必要がなくなり、発送依頼操作を簡略化することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記画像データを、電子メールの添付ファイルとして前記発送依頼端末から受信し、その他のデータを、ウェブページを介して前記発送依頼端末から受信することを特徴とする。この場合においては、アップロード機能を持たない発送依頼端末であっても、電子メール機能を利用して発送代行装置に画像データを送信することができる。また、その他のデータは、ウェブページ上で入力を求めることにより、所定フォームの発送依頼情報を取得することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、発送媒体に印刷した画像データを発送後も保管し、前記発送媒体を受け取った受取人からの依頼に応じて、受取人が指定した画像データを発送媒体に拡大印刷して発送することを特徴とする。この場合においては、発送媒体をインデックスプリントや画像カタログとして機能させ、発送媒体を利用した拡大プリントサービスや焼増しサービスを展開することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、発送媒体の所定位置又は各印刷画像の近傍位置に、発送媒体又は各印刷画像を識別するための識別コードを印刷すると共に、保管する画像データに前記識別コードを関連付けすることを特徴とする。この場合においては、拡大印刷を希望する画像の指定が容易になり、拡大プリントサービスや焼増しサービスの利用を促進することができる。
また、前記発送代行装置は、前記受取人から拡大印刷の依頼があったとき、その画像データ提供者に対して所定の利益還元を行うことを特徴とする。この場合においては、利益還元によって発送代行サービスの利用を促進することができ、また、発送代行サービスの増加に伴い、拡大プリントサービスや焼増しサービスの利用も促進することができる。
また、上記の如き実情に鑑みこれらの課題を解決することを目的として創作された本発明の発送代行装置は、請求項１〜１７の何れかに記載された発送代行システムの発送代行装置として動作することを特徴とする。
また、上記の如き実情に鑑みこれらの課題を解決することを目的として創作された本発明の発送代行プログラムは、請求項１８に記載された発送代行装置としてコンピュータを動作させることを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、本発明の実施の形態の一つを図面に基づいて説明する。図１は、発送代行システムの概略構成を示すブロック図である。この図に示すように、発送代行システム１は、複数の端末２と、発送代行装置３と、これらを相互に接続するインターネット等のネットワーク４とを備えて構成される。

端末２は、ネットワーク接続機能を備えるインターネット端末であり、カメラ付き携帯端末２Ａ、パーソナルコンピュータ２Ｂ（以下、パソコンという）、携帯情報端末２Ｃ（ＰＤＡ）、通信機能付きデジタルカメラ２Ｄ等で構成される。カメラ付き携帯端末２Ａは、音声通話機能の他、デジタルカメラ機能、ブラウザ機能、電子メール機能等を備える。デジタルカメラ機能は、写真撮影を可能にし、撮影により得られた画像データはメモリに保存される。ブラウザ機能は、ＨＴＭＬなどで記述されたウェブページの閲覧や操作を行うための機能であり、このブラウザ機能を用いることにより、ウェブページを介した発送代行装置３との双方向通信が可能になる。電子メール機能は、メールサーバを介して、他のインターネット端末と電子メールの送受信を行うための機能である。この電子メール機能は、ファイルを電子メールと共に送受信するファイル添付機能を備えており、このファイル添付機能を利用することにより、デジタルカメラ機能を用いて撮影した画像データの送受信が可能になる。また、その他の端末２Ｂ、２Ｃ、２Ｄも、カメラ付き携帯端末２Ａと同様に、ブラウザ機能および電子メール機能を備えており、ウェブページを介して発送代行装置３との双方向通信を行うものとする。

発送代行装置３は、ウェブサーバとして機能するサーバコンピュータに、発送代行プログラムやデータベースを導入して構成され、発送媒体５の印刷を行う印刷機６に接続される。本実施形態の印刷機６は、発送媒体５であるハガキにカラー印刷を行うもので、普通ハガキの他、カバー付きハガキやシールハガキにも印刷を行うことができる。

カバー付きハガキは、画像印刷面を剥離自在な接着カバーで隠蔽するように構成されており、画像印刷面の印刷後、画像印刷面に接着カバーを重ねて所定の圧力を加えることにより、画像印刷面が接着カバーで覆蓋される。これにより、郵送料が安いハガキとして発送しても、発送媒体５の画像印刷面を隠蔽し、プライバシーを厳守することができる。

シールハガキは、画像印刷面がハガキ本体（剥離紙）から剥離自在な粘着シールで形成されている。本実施形態では、発送媒体５の複数箇所に印刷される画像の数やサイズに合わせ、粘着シールの分割数や分割サイズが決められる。これにより、印刷画像を発送媒体５から剥がし、写真シールとしてコレクションするなど、発送媒体５の用途拡張を図ることが可能になる。

また、発送媒体５としてカバー付きハガキやシールハガキを用いる場合は、接着カバー又は粘着シールによって隠蔽される部分に、所定の割合で景品の当選情報を印刷することができる。このような機能を発送代行装置３に設けた場合は、発送媒体５に当たりくじの機能を付加し、発送代行サービスの利用を促進することが可能になる。

次に、発送代行装置３による発送媒体５の印刷パターンを説明する。図２は、発送媒体における表面の印刷パターンを示す図、図３〜８は、発送媒体における裏面（画像印刷面）の各種印刷パターンを示す図である。図２に示すように、発送媒体５の表面には、受取人情報（受取人住所、受取人氏名など）および差出人情報（差出人住所、差出人氏名など）が所定の配置で印刷される。尚、本実施形態では、発送媒体５の表面に、受取人情報と差出人情報を印刷するが、所定の領域にメッセージや広告を印刷するようにしてもよい。

発送媒体５における裏面の印刷パターンとしては、図３に示すように、文字のみを印刷する第１印刷パターンと、図４に示すように、１枚の画像と文字を印刷する第２印刷パターンと、図５に示すように、１種類の画像を複数箇所に複写印刷する第３印刷パターンと、図６に示すように、複数種類の画像をそれずれ複数箇所に複写印刷する第４印刷パターンと、図７に示すように、複数種類の画像を１枚ずつ印刷する第５印刷パターンと、図８に示すように、複数種類の画像を１枚ずつ印刷し、かつ、表題、私信、各画像の撮影日時、各画像のコメント、各画像の識別コード、発送媒体５の識別コードなどの文字データを印刷する第６印刷パターンとが用意されている。つまり、第１印刷パターンを選択すれば、通信文のみで構成されたハガキなどを発送することができる。また、第２印刷パターンを選択すれば、通信文と共に写真等の画像が印刷されたハガキを発送することができる。また、第３〜５印刷パターンを選択した場合には、１種類又は複数種類の画像が複数箇所に印刷された表現力の高いハガキを発送することができる。さらに、第６印刷パターンの選択した場合には、複数種類の画像と共に各画像に対するコメントなどが印刷された極めて表現力が高いハガキを発送することができる。特に、第６印刷パターンにおいては、依頼者の工夫により、アルバム形式、日記形式、インデックスプリント形式、画像カタログ形式などのハガキを発送することが可能になる。尚、発送媒体５の裏面には、上記データの他に広告を印刷してもよい。そして、発送媒体５の表面や裏面に広告を印刷する場合は、その広告費により、発送代行サービスの手数料を割引したり、無料にするなどのビジネスモデルを構築することができる。

次に、発送代行装置３が備える各種の機能について説明する。発送代行装置３は、会員登録機能、会員情報変更機能、会員認証機能、ハガキ発送機能、ハガキ印刷・発送機能、アドレス帳機能、画像アルバム機能、課金機能、ポイント購入機能、発送履歴保存機能、拡大プリント発送機能、利益還元機能などを備える。

会員登録機能は、会員登録ページを端末２に送信し、ここに入力された会員情報（差出人情報）を発送代行装置３のデータベースに保存する機能である。会員情報には、氏名、住所、郵便番号、電子メールアドレス、パスワードなどが含まれる。

会員情報変更機能は、既登録の会員情報を入力した会員情報変更ページを端末２に送信し、ここで変更された会員情報を発送代行装置３のデータベースに上書保存する機能である。

会員認証機能は、ハガキ発送依頼に先立ち、会員認証ページ（ログオンページ）を端末２に送信し、ここに入力された電子メールアドレスおよびパスワードに基づいて会員認証を行う機能である。

ハガキ発送機能は、受取人選択ページ、印刷パターン選択ページ、画像選択ページ、文字入力ページなどを介して、端末２からのハガキ発送依頼を受け付ける機能であり、ここで受け付けた発送依頼情報に基づき、ハガキ印刷・発送機能によるハガキ印刷（発送）が行われる。

アドレス帳機能は、アドレス登録ページを端末２に送信し、ここに入力された受取人情報（氏名、住所、郵便番号、ヨミガナ、グループなど）を発送代行装置３のデータベースに保存する機能である。また、登録された受取人情報は、登録した会員であれば、自由に変更することができる。

画像アルバム機能は、端末２から電子メールの添付ファイルとして画像データを受信し、これを発送代行装置３のデータベースに保存する機能である。保存された画像データは、登録した会員であれば、自由に削除することができる。本実施形態では、ウェブページ上に画像アップロード操作部を用意し、ここをクリックすることにより、端末２の電子メールソフトを起動すると共に、送信先に発送代行装置３の電子メールアドレスが入力されたメール送信画面を開くようになっている。これにより、発送依頼者は、画像データの添付操作を行うだけで、発送代行装置３に画像データを登録することが可能になる。

課金機能は、端末２からのハガキ発送依頼を受け付けたとき、端末２に決済方法選択ページ、各決済方法に対応した入力ページなどを送信し、ここに入力された情報に基づいて決済処理を行う機能である。決済方法としては、クレジットカード、プリペイドカード、携帯電話決済サービス、独自のポイントサービスなどが用意される。

ポイント購入機能は、端末２にポイント購入ページを送信し、ここで選択された購入ポイント数の課金処理を前記課金機能を用いて行うと共に、購入したポイント数を発送代行装置３のデータベースに保存する機能である。このポイントによりハガキ発送依頼をする場合は、他の決済方法を使用する場合に比べ、手数料が安くなるなどの特典を与え、ポイント購入を促している。

発送履歴保存機能は、過去に発送した履歴情報を、その発送依頼者に提供する機能である。履歴情報には、発送日時、受取人などが含まれる。

拡大プリント発送機能は、端末２に拡大プリント依頼ページを送信し、ここで選択された画像を発送媒体５に拡大プリントして発送する機能である。ここで拡大プリントされる画像データは、拡大プリントの依頼者が過去に受け取った発送媒体５に印刷された画像データである。つまり、発送代行装置３は、発送媒体５に印刷した画像データを発送後も保管しており、発送媒体５を受け取った受取人からの依頼に応じて、受取人が指定した画像データを発送媒体５に拡大印刷して発送するように構成される。また、発送代行装置３は、発送媒体５の所定位置又は各印刷画像の近傍位置に、発送媒体５又は各印刷画像を識別するための識別コードを印刷する一方、この識別コードを画像データに関連付けてデータベースに保存している。これにより、拡大印刷を機能する画像の指定が容易になる。

利益還元機能は、発送媒体５の受取人から拡大印刷の依頼があったとき、その画像データ提供者に対して所定の利益還元を行う機能である。還元する利益は、銀行振込み、ポイント還元など、任意の方法で行うことができる。

次に、発送代行装置３が端末２に対して送信するウェブページの構成を参照しつつ、端末２および発送代行装置３の動作について説明する。但し、発送代行装置３は、端末２の種類に応じて最適化された複数種類のウェブページ群を保持し、また、同一会員であれば、異なる端末２からアクセスしても、アドレス帳、画像アルバム、発送履歴、ポイントなどを使用できるものとする。これにより、文字入力性能に優れるパソコン２Ｂでアドレス帳を管理し、カメラ付き携帯端末２Ａから発送媒体５の発送依頼を行うなどの利用形態が可能になる。

図９は、発送代行装置が備えるウェブページの構成を示すブロック図である。この図に示すように、端末２のブラウザ機能で発送代行装置３のＵＲＬにアクセスすると、端末２の画面にトップページが表示される。トップページには、「会員入口」、「会員登録」、「サンプル」、「詳しい説明」などのクリック項目が表示され、各項目をクリックすると、対応するウェブページが表示される。「会員登録」をクリックした場合は、前述した会員登録ページが表示され、ここで会員情報の入力を行うことができる。「サンプル」をクリックした場合は、サンプルページが表示され、ここで発送媒体５の各種印刷パターンが示される。「詳しい説明」をクリックした場合は、詳しい説明ページが表示され、ここで発送代行サービスの詳しい説明が示される。尚、各ページには、クリック項目として「戻る」が表示され、これをクリックすることにより、前のページが表示される。

トップページの「会員入口」をクリックした場合は、前述した会員認証ページが表示され、ここで会員認証データの入力が行われる。入力された会員認証データが正しい場合は、会員ページが表示される。会員ページには、「ハガキ発送」、「アドレス帳」、「画像アルバム」、「会員情報変更」、「発送履歴」、「ポイント購入」、「拡大プリント」などのクリック項目が表示され、各項目をクリックすると、対応するウェブページが表示される。「アドレス帳」をクリックした場合は、アドレス帳ページが表示され、ここで受取人情報の新規登録や登録情報の変更が行われる。「画像アルバム」をクリックした場合は、画像アルバムページが表示され、ここで画像データの新規登録（電子メールによる）や登録データの削除が行われる。「会員情報変更」をクリックした場合は、前述した会員情報変更ページが表示され、ここで会員情報の変更が行われる。「発送履歴」をクリックした場合は、発送履歴ページが表示され、ここで発送媒体５の発送履歴が確認される。「ポイント購入」をクリックした場合は、前述したポイント購入ページが表示され、ここでポイントの購入が行われる。

「ハガキ発送」をクリックした場合は、アドレス一覧ページが表示される。このページでは、アドレス帳に登録された受取人情報のなかから、任意の受取人情報を一つ又は複数選択することができる。また、アドレス帳に登録していない受取人に発送媒体５を発送する場合は、別ページで受取人の追加を行った後、その受取人を選択する。そして、受取人を選択した後は、クリック項目「次へ」をクリックする。

アドレス一覧ページで「次へ」をクリックした場合は、ハガキタイプ選択ページが表示される。このページでは、ハガキの種類（普通ハガキ、カバー付きハガキ、シールハガキなど）や印刷パターン（第１〜第６）の選択項目が表示され、ここでハガキの種類および印刷パターンが選択される。そして、ハガキタイプを選択した後は、クリック項目「次へ」をクリックする。

ハガキタイプ選択ページで「次へ」をクリックした場合は、選択したハガキタイプに応じたページが表示される。例えば、第１印刷パターンを選択した場合は、文字入力ページが表示され、ここで表題および通信文の入力が行われる。また、第２印刷パターンを選択した場合は、まず、画像選択ページが表示され、ここで画像アルバムに登録された画像のなかから、１枚の画像が選択される。その後、文字入力ページが表示され、ここで、表題および通信文が入力される。また、第３印刷パターンを選択した場合は、画像選択ページが表示され、ここで画像アルバムに登録された画像のなかから、１枚の画像が選択される。また、第４印刷パターンを選択した場合は、画像選択ページが表示され、ここで画像アルバムに登録された画像のなかから、例えば５枚の画像が選択される。また、第５印刷パターンを選択した場合は、画像選択ページが表示され、ここで画像アルバムに登録された画像のなかから、例えば２０枚の画像が選択される。また、第６印刷パターンを選択した場合は、画像選択ページが表示され、ここで画像アルバムに登録された画像のなかから、例えば９枚の画像が選択される。その後、文字入力ページが表示され、ここで、表題、通信文、画像毎の撮影日時、画像毎のコメントなどが入力される。但し、画像ファイル名が撮影日時で構成されている場合は、画像ファイル名から撮影日時が自動的に抽出され、これが撮影日時入力窓に自動入力される。

上記ページ操作が完了した後は、前述した決済方法選択ページが表示され、ここで選択した決済方法により、ハガキ発送代行サービスの手数料が決済される。そして、決済手続きを確定した場合は、確定ページが表示され、上記一連のハガキ発送依頼手続が完了する。

一方、前述した会員ページで「拡大プリント」をクリックした場合は、識別コード入力ページが表示される。依頼者が以前に受け取った発送媒体５の識別コードを入力して「次へ」をクリックすると、以前に受け取った発送媒体５に印刷されている画像がページ表示される。このページでは、何れかの画像を選択し、その拡大プリントを発注することができる。そして、発注後は、前述した決済方法選択ページが表示され、決済手続きが行われる。
