BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a golf club protective cover for preventing golf clubs housed and transported in a caddy bag from colliding with each other in the caddy bag and being damaged.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Golf clubs are housed in caddy bags and transported between the home and the golf course. However, when golf clubs are stored and transported in caddy bags while being bare, the clubs collide with each other during the transportation and scratches may occur. Stick. In order to prevent this, various protective covers that are attached to a single golf club are commercially available.
[0003]
In particular, in recent years, many carbon shaft clubs have been circulated, and the carbon shaft is easily scratched. Therefore, the protective cover is configured to protect not only the head portion but also the shaft portion connected to the head. ing.
[0004]
As an example of such a golf club protective cover, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-245882 discloses a head cover for protecting a golf club head and a shaft cover for protecting a part of a shaft connected to the head. A protective cover for a formed golf club is disclosed.
[0005]
The protective cover according to the present invention has a cylindrical shape with one end closed, and the closed end serves as a head accommodating portion. The head of the club is inserted through the opening at the other end, and the closed end (head cover portion) ), The remaining cylindrical portion accommodates the portion of the shaft to be protected, and this cylindrical portion serves as the shaft cover portion. A pair of surface fasteners are provided on the cylindrical outer surface of the shaft cover portion in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the shaft. By engaging the pair of surface fasteners with the club housed, the cylindrical portion Is folded to cover part of the head and shaft.
[0006]
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2002-095779 also discloses a method in which a head cover and a shaft cover are integrated and a club is inserted and removed by opening and closing the shaft cover to close and fix the shaft cover. A shaft cover provided with a surface fastener is disclosed.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, both of the above use a hook-and-loop fastener to close and fix the shaft cover, so the hook-and-loop fastener can be easily engaged, but the mating surfaces of the pair must be matched. So annoying. In addition, once the hook and loop fasteners have been damaged due to scratches on the engagement surface, and after that, even if the fixing function has been satisfied for a while, the hook will gradually deteriorate during use. Since it expands, the fixing force is reduced, and the appearance is poor, and this state cannot be repaired. Therefore, as a golf item with high fashionability, the entire cover becomes unusable.
[0008]
In addition, as a means for closing and fixing the shaft cover with the same structure as described above, there is one that uses a button instead of a fastener, but in the case of a button, it is easy to break like a hook-and-loop fastener. However, when the shaft cover is opened and the shaft is inserted and removed, the shaft may be rubbed against the button projection and scratched. In addition, fixing the shaft cover with this button is also more troublesome than a hook-and-loop fastener because the corresponding ones of a plurality of buttons must be fastened one by one.
[0009]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to enable effective protection of a golf club head and a shaft connected to the golf club head while easily opening and closing the cover and fixing the cover.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a novel protective cover for a golf club, and as the protective cover, the shaft cover is formed on a plate by covering a plastic member with a cushioning covering material. When the club head is housed in the head cover, the shaft extending from the head is integrated with the head cover in such a posture that it passes through the plate surface of the plate body, and is partitioned by the shaft. The both sides of the plate are bent with the shaft inside, and the state is fixed by the plasticity of the plastic member to cover the shaft.
[0011]
In this protective cover, first, when the head is housed in the head cover, the shaft passes through the plate surface of the shaft cover as described above, and therefore the portions on both sides of the shaft cover partitioned by the shaft are bent with the shaft inside.
[0012]
Then, the shaft is sandwiched between the shaft covers on both sides of the shaft. However, since the plastic member is embedded in the shaft cover, the state is maintained even if the force is removed after bending due to the plasticity. Therefore, the shaft is protected as it is. Moreover, when releasing the cover, it can be easily released simply by opening the cover against the plasticity.
[0013]
In the above configuration, if a shape memory member is used for the plastic member, the shape memory characteristic first determines the shape that sandwiches the shaft of the shaft cover, and thereafter the shape is always constant. Compared to a normal plastic member, the shaft cover can be easily set and released with one touch.
[0014]
Furthermore, if shape memory resin is used for the shape memory member, the weight of the entire protective cover can be reduced, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
[0015]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a single protective cover C according to the embodiment, and FIG. 2 shows a state in which the shaft cover 20 of the cover C is developed in a planar shape. In this embodiment, wood is used as the club, and in the following figures, the club portion also shows wood.
[0016]
This protective cover C shown in FIG. 1 is formed by integrally forming a head cover 10 that protects the head and a shaft cover 20 that protects a part of the shaft connected to the head. The head cover 10 has a bag shape that covers substantially the entire surface of the head, and a head insertion opening 1 is provided on the surface of the bag. This bag is formed by stitching together two synthetic fibers 2 and has an air layer inside to provide cushioning.
[0017]
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 2, when the shaft cover 20 is developed in a planar shape from the bent state of FIG. The head cover 10 is sewn and integrated with the periphery of the insertion slot 1 of the head. This plate body uses synthetic leather 12 on the outside as a covering material, uses synthetic fibers 13 on the inner surface that touches the shaft S, and embeds a thin copper plate 14 in the form of a longitudinal plate as a core material between them. It is a thing. Therefore, the shaft cover 20 is foldable and can be fixed in a folded state or an open state depending on the plasticity of the embedded copper plate 14.
[0018]
Further, as shown in FIG. 2, the shaft cover 20 has a posture in which the shaft S extending from the head H passes through the center of the plate body in the width direction when the head H is housed in the head cover 10. Are sewn on the periphery of the insertion slot 1 of the head, and the width becomes smaller toward the other end. The reason why the width is reduced toward the other end is that the shaft S is covered by this portion as shown below, so that an unnecessary space is deleted to reduce the occupied space in the caddy bag. And, the outer shape of the other end is curved to make it soft in design. The above is the configuration of the protective cover C of the embodiment. Next, the usage method will be described. FIG. 3 shows the state of use.
[0019]
First, as shown in FIG. 3A, the shaft cover 20 is slightly bent from the state of FIG. 2 along the passage position of the shaft S so that the head insertion opening 1 of the head cover 10 can insert the head H. The head (H) is stored in the shape (size).
[0020]
Then, as described above, the portion of the shaft S extending from the head H naturally runs along the center of the plate surface of the shaft cover 20 in the width direction. ), The portions on both sides partitioned by the shaft S are bent with the shaft S inside. As a result, the shaft S is sandwiched between the shaft covers 20 on both sides and protected therein, but since the shaft cover 20 has the copper plate 14 embedded therein as a core material, the force is removed after bending. However, it keeps the same state due to its plasticity.
[0021]
When removing the cover C, contrary to the above, when the shaft cover 20 is opened and the shaft S is exposed, the head insertion opening 1 of the head cover 10 also expands to a size that allows the head H to be extracted. Thus, the shaft S can be removed and the head H can be extracted from the head cover 10, and the club can be removed from the cover C.
[0022]
As described above, according to the protective cover C of this embodiment, the plasticity of the copper plate 14 embedded in the shaft cover 20 is used to fix the cover state (bent state) of the shaft cover 20. There is no inconvenience as in the case of buttons and buttons, and when the cover C is removed, it can be easily removed simply by opening the shaft cover 20 against the plasticity of the copper plate 14. Further, unlike the case where the button is attached to the surface of the shaft cover, there is no possibility that the shaft is rubbed against the button and the shaft is damaged.
[0023]
In this embodiment, the copper plate 14 is used as the plastic member of the core material of the shaft cover 20, but a shape memory member such as a shape memory alloy or a shape memory resin can be used instead. Then, if the shape that sandwiches the shaft S of the shaft cover 20 is first determined by the shape memory characteristics of the member, then the fixed shape can always appear, and the shaft cover 20 is bent with one touch. Only by this, the shaft S can be easily covered.
[0024]
Further, if this shape memory member is used, the shape at the time of opening and closing due to its memory characteristics becomes stable in strength, so that it extends over the entire longitudinal direction of the shaft cover 20 like the copper plate 14 of this embodiment. If the shape is such that the wires are connected as shown in FIG. 4 instead of the shape of a single plate, the material can be saved and the cover C can be reduced in weight.
[0025]
In particular, if a shape memory resin is used as the shape memory member, the shape as shown in FIG. 4 can be easily formed, and the cover C can be further reduced in weight. In addition, the material cost can be reduced to several tenths compared with the shape memory alloy.
[0026]
In this embodiment, wood is used as the club to be protected. However, the present invention is not limited to wood but can be applied to irons and putters. This is also because these clubs are also damaged by contact between the clubs, and if they are damaged, the shaft may be broken due to the damage, and a protective cover is required to prevent this.
[0027]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention configured as described above, while the golf club cover is securely performed, the set and release are only performed by bending the shaft cover formed on the plate body along the shaft. There is an effect that it can be performed by a simple operation.
