清掃具として、特公昭57−58939号公報に記載の如く、フレームにブラシと塵取部を支持し、床面上を転動する原動輪によって従動輪を回転させ、この従動輪の回転によってブラシを回転させるものがある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来技術では、前記原動輪と従動輪の噛合い直径の選定によってブラシの回転を原動輪の回転より増速することにより、ブラシの床面に対する相対速度を大きくし、ブラシによるゴミ掻き上げ能力を向上することが考えられる。

しかしながら、従来技術には以下の問題点がある。
一般に、清掃具の先端が清掃進み方向の壁等に突き当たったときには、壁からブラシまでの範囲のゴミは清掃できない。

従来技術では、ブラシが連結される従動輪に対し、清掃進み方向の前方側に原動輪を配置している。従って、清掃具の先端とブラシとの間に原動輪が存在し、清掃可能範囲が狭くなる。

また、従来技術では、ブラシの回転方向が原動輪の回転方向と反対方向となっており、ブラシによる床面からのゴミ掻き上げ方向が清掃具の清掃進み方向の前方に向き、ブラシの前方に塵取部を配置する必要がある。従って、清掃具の先端とブラシとの間に塵取部が存在し、前述の清掃可能範囲が狭くなる。

【発明の実施の形態】
清掃具10は、床面1上のゴミ、例えばカーペット等の繊維に絡み付いた髪の毛等のゴミを捕集するものであり、図1〜図3に示す如く、柄11の先端部に継手部12を介して支持アーム13を結合し、支持アーム13の両側アーム部13Aに支軸部14を介してフレーム15を前後方向に揺動自在に支持している。

フレーム15の前部には可撓掻き上げ体16が回動自在に支持され、フレーム15の後部には回転体18が回動自在に支持され、掻き上げ体16と回転体18は平行に並べられて配置される。
