本発明は、アジャスタ装置、より詳細には、電子機器や家具などの高さや角度を調整するのに好適なアジャスタ装置に関する技術である。

【従来の技術】
電子機器や家具などにおいては高さや角度を調整するために、高さ調整機能を有する脚を設けたものが広く実用化されている。例えば、テレビ映像やビデオ映像などを投影するプロジェクタにおいては、前側に設ける1対の脚として、高さ調整機能を有するものを使用し、投影角度を調整できるように構成されている。前記高さ調整機能を有する脚としては、プロジェクタの機枠に螺軸を螺合させ、螺軸の下端に固定した座板を回転操作して、機枠に対する螺軸の螺進量を調整することで、プロジェクタの傾斜角度を調整できるように構成したものが使用されている。

また、高さ調整機能を有する簡易な構成として、例えば、実公昭32−4181号公報には、下端にゴム脚を固定した昇降杆と、この昇降杆を上方へ常時付勢する杆スプリングと、昇降杆が挿通する貫通孔を有する操作レバーであって、貫通孔の口縁が昇降杆の外面に係合して、昇降杆の昇降を規制する規制位置と、貫通孔の口縁と昇降杆の外面との係合が解除されて、昇降杆の昇降が許容される解除位置とに傾動操作可能な操作レバーと、操作レバーを規制位置側へ常時付勢するレバースプリングとを備えたドア停止金具が記載されている。このドア停止金具においては、昇降杆を杆スプリングのバネ力に抗して下方へ踏み込み操作し、昇降杆を下降させてゴム脚を床面に圧接させて、ドアを停止させ、操作レバーを解除位置側へ操作することで、杆スプリングのバネ力により、昇降杆を上昇させて、ドアの停止を解除できるように構成されている。

しかしながら、このように螺軸の螺進量に応じて高さが調整されるので、調整量が多い場合には、螺軸を何回も回転操作する必要があり、調整作業が煩雑になるという問題がある。また、前記ドア停止金具のような構成をフットに適用して、操作レバーの操作により、所望の高さ位置まで一気に昇降杆を昇降させて、プロジェクタの傾斜角度を調整できるように構成することも可能である。しかし、この場合においても、操作レバーを解除位置へ操作したときに、プロジェクタの前部が杆スプリングのバネ力で支持されるので、バネ力が強すぎると操作レバーを解除操作したときにプロジェクタの前部が跳ね上がり、バネ力が弱すぎるとプロジェクタの前部が落ち込むという問題がある。しかも、杆スプリングは、そのバネ力がプロジェクタ前部の自重とバランスするまで伸長或いは収縮しようとするので、適度な杆スプリングを用いた場合でも、跳ね上がりや落ち込みの問題を完全に解消することはできない。また、杆スプリングにより昇降杆が高速で移動するので、微妙な高さ調整が困難になることも考えられる。更に、プロジェクタとその設置面間の隙間は比較的小さいので、操作レバーの操作性が低下するという問題もある。

そこで、上記課題解決を目的として、例えば、特開平11−248089号公報や、特開平11−311397号公報に記載の発明が提案されている。両者においては、脚部材形状と操作方法に若干の相違があるのみであり、代表例として、特開平11−311397号公報に記載の発明に関して以下に説明する。

上記特開平11−311397号公報には、下端を開放した有底の収容孔を有する外装ケースと、前記収容孔に気密摺動自在なピストン部を有する脚部材と、前記外装ケースとピストン部とで形成されるエア作動室を大気開放するためのオリフィスと、前記脚部材を下方へ常時付勢する脚用弾性部材と、前記脚部材の進退移動を規制可能なロック手段であって、脚部材の外周面にその長さ方向に一定間隔おきに形成した複数の規制凹凸部と、外装ケースにスライド操作可能に設けられ、規制凹凸部に係合可能な係止凹凸部を有する操作部材と、操作部材をその係止凹凸部が規制凹凸部に凹凸係合する方向へ常時付勢するロック用弾性部材とを有するロック手段とを備えた高さ調整機能付きフットが提案されている。

この高さ調整機能付き脚においては、ロック用弾性部材の付勢力に抗して操作部材を押し操作することで、係止凹凸部と規制凹凸部との係合が解除され、脚部材が移動し得る状態になるが、このとき脚部材が脚用弾性部材の付勢力により下降すると、エア作動室内に対してオリフィスを介して徐々に外気が流入し、脚部材が脚用弾性部材の付勢力に抗して上昇すると、エア作動室内のエアがオリフィスを介して徐々に外部に排出されるので、脚部材はオリフィスの通気抵抗に応じて低速度で昇降することになる。このように、エア作動室とオリフィスとが脚部材の昇降移動のダンパとして機能するので、このフットを組付けた家具や家電機器においては、高さ調整時における、急激な跳ね上がりや落ち込みなどの不用意な挙動が防止され、スムーズに角度や高さを調整できるとともに、微妙な角度や高さ調整が可能となる。しかも、操作部材を水平方向に押し操作することで、係止凹凸部と規制凹凸部との係合を解除できるので、プロジェクタなどのように、操作部材の配設スペースが上下方向にスペースが狭い場合でも、操作部材の操作性を十分に確保することが可能となる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述の高さ調整機能付き脚は、螺軸を用いた場合のように何回も回転操作したりすることなく、脚部材の突出量を調整できるので、この脚を組付けた電子機器や家具の昇降操作性を向上することができ、また、脚部材を外装ケースの収容孔に気密摺動自在に装着し、脚部材と外装ケースとで形成されるエア作動室をオリフィスを介して大気開放することで、フットに対してダンパ機能を付与しているので、高さ調整時における脚部材の移動速度が緩やかになり、フットを組付けた機器の急速な跳ね上がりや落ち込みを防止して、機器の不用意な挙動を防止できるとともに、微妙な角度調整も可能とする。

しかしながら、上記高さ調整機能付き脚は、高さ調整用の操作部材の構成が水平プッシュやシーソー方式であり、例えば、薄型電子機器などに好適な上下方向へのスライド機構などは考慮されておらず、さらなる使い勝手の向上が望まれていた。

本発明は、上述のごとき実情に鑑みてなされたものであり、家具や電子機器などの高さや角度調整が容易に行え、しかも高さ調整時における不用意な挙動を効果的に抑制し、微妙な高さや角度調整が可能なアジャスタ装置において、上下方向へのスライド機構によって家具や電子機器などの高さや角度調整を容易に可能とすること、を目的としてなされたものである。

本発明は、前述の特開平11−248089号公報や特開平11−311397号公報等に関連し、薄型電子機器などにも更に好適に用いることができる発明であって、上記目的を達成するための技術手段は、下端が開放されたピストン収容室を有する外装ケースと、該ピストン収容室に摺動自在に挿入された上端部からなるピストン部と該ピストン部に連結した下端部からなるフット部とを有し、かつ、前記ピストン部と前記フット部との間において外周面の長さ方向に凹凸部が形成された脚部材と、該脚部材を下方へ常時付勢する脚部材用弾性部材と、前記脚部材の凹凸部に係合する凹凸部を有し、かつ、前記脚部材に当接・離脱可能なストッパ部材と、該ストッパ部材を前記脚部材に当接する方向に常時付勢するストッパ部材用弾性部材を有し、前記脚部材を前記外装ケースに対して上下動し、前記脚部材の前記外装ケースに対する相対位置を調整し、前記ストッパ部材にて前記調整した位置に前記脚部材をロックするようにしたアジャスタ装置において、下方に移動することにより下端を前記ストッパ部材に押し当てる操作部材を有し、該操作部材の下端を前記ストッパ部材に押し当てることにより、前記ストッパ部材を前記脚部材から離脱させ、前記脚部材を前記外装ケースに対して移動自在にしたことを特徴としたものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明のアジャスタ装置は、例えば、家具や電子機器などの高さや角度の調整に好適に利用されるものであるが、特に、プロジェクタ装置などの薄型電子機器における高さや角度調整などの操作性の改善に好適である。本実施形態は、薄型電子機器の代表例としてプロジェクタ装置に本発明のアジャスタ装置を適用した場合に関し、以下に示す図1乃至図4に基づいて説明する。

図1は、本発明のアジャスタ装置を取り付けた状態のプロジェクタ装置の概観を示す図で、図中、1はプロジェクタ装置で、該プロジェクタ装置1は、投射レンズ2,アジャスタボタン3,固定フット4,アジャスタ装置10を有している。本発明のアジャスタ装置10は、脚部材14,フット24を有している。図1(A)はアジャスタ装置10による投影角度調整前のプロジェクタ装置1の側面図、図1(B)はアジャスタ装置10による投影角度調整中のプロジェクタ装置1の側面図、図1(C)はアジャスタ装置10による投影角度調整後のプロジェクタ装置1の側面図である。
