【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、メチルハイドロジェンポリシロキサン(以下Hオイルという。)等に代表される反応性シリコーンによる撥水被覆を解除する方法を提供し、その方法を用いて、粉末消火剤として広く使用されている、シリコーン撥水処理されたリン酸二水素アンモニウムに本来の水溶性を回復させて、リン酸及びアンモニア性窒素肥料として再利用する方法を提供しようとするものである。

【従来の技術】シリコーン撥水被覆は加熱によって解除できることが知られている。しかし、前記リン酸二水素アンモニウムのように、熱によって容易に変質する物質に施された撥水被覆を解除する方法としては不適当である。その為、粉末消火器に充填されたリン酸二水素アンモニウムのシリコーン処理物は、使用期限が過ぎると廃棄されていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明は熱を用いず、リン酸二水素アンモニウムを変質させることなく、容易かつ速やかにシリコーン撥水被覆を解除し、肥料として再利用する方法を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】シリコーン被覆されたリン酸二水素アンモニウム粉末にアルカリを含むアルコールを浸潤させ、シリコーン撥水被覆を解除する。

【作用】Hオイルにアルカリを含むアルコールを加えると、Hオイルは水素ガスを発生しながら水に対して濡れ性を持つ樹脂状の物質に変化する。アルカリは水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化カルシウム、ケイ酸ナトリウム等、アルコールはメタノール、エタノール、プロパノール等で、樹脂状物質の硬さ、色に違いはあるものの、どの組み合わせでも同様の変化を生ずる。この反応に着目し、シリコーン撥水被覆の解除に利用することとした。

【実施例】本発明の実施例では、アルコールには安価で入手し易いメタノールを、アルカリには、植物の成育に有用な元素を含むという理由から水酸化カリウムを、被処理物にはヤマトABC粉末消火剤の使用期限を過ぎたもの(以下廃粉末消火剤という。)を使用した。工業用メタノール(99.9%)1,000mlに水酸化カリウム2gを溶かして処理薬とする。10kgの廃粉末消火剤を厚手のビニール袋に入れ、処理薬を注ぎ密封した後18l缶に納め、蓋をして24時間放置した。処理後物を取り出し水に溶かしてみると、処理前は全く水に溶けなかった廃粉末消火剤が容易に水に溶け、ピンク色の水溶液となった。
【0007】撥水性を与え、流動性を向上させる為にシリコーン処理された粉末消火剤は、僅かの風にも粉塵となって舞い上がる為取り扱いが困難で、攪拌などの工程には不向きである。本発明の方法は単に被処理物に注ぐだけで、アルコールの高い浸透性に任せて反応を待つのみであるので、作業は極めて容易で粉塵の発生も無い。
【0008】また、メタノールの水に対する溶解度は100%であるので、反応時間に急を要しなければ、前記処理薬のメタノールに水を加えて、費用の削減を図ってもよい。

【発明の効果】とうもろこしを栽培し、一般の肥料(アンモニア性窒素15.0%、可溶性リン酸15.0%、く溶性加里10.0%を含む化成肥料)を使用したもの、本発明によって得た廃粉末消火剤処理後物を肥料として使用したもの、施肥しないものの3種類の畝を作り、効果を比較した。施肥しないものの成育が不良だったのは勿論だが、本発明の再生肥料を使用したものの成育と結実状況は一般の肥料を使用したものに比べ全く遜色が無かった。[0001]
