従来から、特開昭60−183379号公報に示される如く、照明器具である梱包物を梱包箱内に収納保持した梱包構造が知られている。この梱包構造にあっては、梱包箱内にこれとは別体の緩衝材を納め、収納される照明器具を同緩衝材によって保持させている。この場合、緩衝材はダンボール紙等を折り曲げて一体に形成されたもので、照明器具の各部品が同緩衝材によって保護され収納されるものである。しかしながら、この梱包構造では、梱包箱と別に緩衝材を要しており、梱包材料が複雑でコスト高になるという問題がある。
