Description

【0001】

The pair of height adjusting members (12) is formed by connecting a pair of front and rear protrusions (22) protruding from the butting surface at the upper end of the inner height adjusting member (12) to the outer height adjusting member (12). After fitting into a concave hole (not shown) formed in the abutting surface at the upper end of 12), it is fitted from above into the above-mentioned column (4), and the outward flange portion at the upper end of both height adjusting members (12). As shown in FIG. 2, the (12a) is engaged with the upper end opening of the column (4), and the elastic engaging piece (23) formed on the front surface of the upper end of the inner height adjusting member (12). Is elastically engaged from the inside with an engaging hole (24) on the front surface of the upper end of the column (4), thereby preventing the column from being removed upward and fitted into the column (4).
[0026]
When the height adjusting members (12) are fitted to the columns (4), the ribs (25) projecting upward and downward from the opposing surfaces of the rear ends thereof come into contact with each other. As shown in FIG. 6, an insertion hole (26) through which a cable (39) described later can be inserted is formed.
[0027]
The supporting rod (11) is formed by inserting the holding pieces (15) formed on both side plates (11a) into guide grooves (27) formed in the front ends of the facing surfaces of the height adjusting members (12) and pointing in the vertical direction. It is inserted into both height adjusting members (12) from above so as to be slidably fitted (see FIGS. 4 to 6).
[0028]
As shown in the longitudinal sectional views of FIGS. 7 and 8, the support member (13) has an elliptical frame shape with a front-rear dimension and a vertical dimension slightly shorter than that of the support rod (11) and having a vertically long side view. On the inside except for the lower end thereof, a rib (28a) pointing in the vertical direction passing through the center of the front and rear, a plurality of ribs (28b) pointing in the vertical direction in the vertical direction, the ribs (28a) (28b), and the support member A rib (28c) (see FIG. 5) for connecting an intermediate portion in the left-right direction with the inner surface of (13) in an orthogonal manner is integrally formed, and the whole is reinforced.
[0029]

The groove (34) formed on the inner surface of the front end portion of the member (12) forms an insertion hole (35) through which a cable (39) described later can be inserted with a margin.
[0032]
The left and right side surfaces of the upper and lower ends of the support member (13) have a length from the front end of the support member (13) to almost the middle of the support member (13) at the same height as the ribs (28b) at the upper and lower ends. Projection strips (36) projecting in the front-rear direction protrude, and engaging claws (37) elastically deformable toward the internal space are provided on the left and right side surfaces of the support member (13) above the projection strips (36). It is protruded.
[0033]
When the support member (13) is fitted to the support rod (11), the above-mentioned ridges (36) and the engagement claws (37) are respectively engaged with the respective locking grooves (15) of the support rod (11). By fitting into and engaging with the locking hole (16), the support member (13) is prevented from moving in the up-down direction and the front-back direction.
[0034]
After the support member (13) is attached to the support rod (11), the side plate (11a) of the support rod (11) is inserted into the shaft hole (30) of the support shaft portion (31) of the elastic support piece (29). ) Is inserted into the guide hole (17) so that the left and right ends of the pin (38) as locking shafts project from the side plate (11a) by a required dimension (see FIG. 6).
[0035]
The left and right protruding ends of the pin (38) are supported by the V-shaped lowermost surface of the lower inclined surface (20b) of the concave groove (20) in the inner and outer height adjusting members (12), and in this state. The pin (38) faces the front end (base end) of the inclined surface on the lower surface of the lowermost locking piece (21b) (see FIGS. 5 and 11).
[0036]
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6, the lower end of the support (4) is connected to a tilting operation mechanism (not shown) of the back frame (2), and the upper end is connected to an operation lever (58) described later. The flexible outer tube (39a) of the cable (39) fits and holds the straight portion directed downward from the upper end into both holding pieces (33) at the rear end of the support member (13). The lower part of the support member (13) is folded upward in a U-shape, and the upward straight part is inserted into an insertion hole (35) between the front surface of the support member (13) and the height adjusting member (12). The upper part of the support rod (11) is folded back downward in a U-shape above the support member (13) and between both side plates (11a) of the support rod (11), and the notch ( 19) through the rear ends of both height adjusting members (12). By inserting the through-hole (26) is accommodated in a loop shape imparted to spare length in the vertical direction.
[0037]
The above-mentioned elbow pad (5) is formed by screwing a slightly larger synthetic resin elbow pad (41) on the upper surface of an elbow pad substrate (40) made of an aluminum alloy or the like which is substantially rectangular in a plan view. A vertically oriented mounting hole (42) formed in the rear end of the armrest substrate (40) is fixed to the rear end of the armrest support plate (10) at the upper end of the support rod (11) by welding. The rear end of the armrest (5) can be horizontally rotated in the left-right direction by the support rod (11) by being fitted to the small-diameter shaft (43a) of the vertical stepped support shaft (43). Is being worn.

The stopper pin (69) erected at the center of the end is loosely fitted, and the elbow pad (5) rotates horizontally in the left and right direction until the pin (69) comes into contact with the left and right ends of the long hole (68). Can be.
[0058]
A bottomed hole (70) is formed in front of the mounting hole (42) in the elbow support substrate (40), and the bottomed hole (70) is pressed upward by a compression coil spring (71). The ball (hard ball) (72) is accommodated.
[0059]
A plurality (four) of stop holes (73) are formed in a rotational path centered on the stepped support shaft (43) at an intermediate portion in the front-rear direction of the position adjusting plate (64). At the lower end, the ball (72) is selectively locked. The bottomed hole (70), the compression coil spring (71), the ball (72), the stop hole (73), and the like may be omitted.
[0060]
At the front end of the position adjusting plate (64), an arc-shaped long hole (74) centering on the stepped support shaft (43) is formed. A plurality of (four) semicircular locking grooves (75) which are recessed into each other form a line connecting their centers with the centers of the stop holes (73) and the stepped support shaft (43). It is formed so as to be aligned.
[0061]
At the front and rear edges of the operation button (66), support pieces (66a) and (66b) that come into contact with the upper surface of the elbow support board (40) project in the front-rear direction, and the front support piece (66a). A pair of shaft portions (76) is provided on both right and left sides of the front end of the front end.
[0062]
The two shafts (76) are rotatably inserted between a pair of left and right holding pieces (77) projecting from the upper surface of the central part of the elbow support board (40), and the front end of the support piece (66a). When the lower end of the presser piece (78) protruding from the lower surface of the elbow pad (41) slides on or comes close to the upper surface, the operation button (66) moves the guide hole (65) around the shaft (76). ) Can be turned up and down. Instead of clamping the shaft (76) with a pair of clamping pieces (77), a pair of upwardly U-shaped bearings are protrudingly provided on the upper surface of the elbow support substrate (40). The shaft (76) may be rotatably fitted to the shaft.
[0063]
The leaf spring (67) has a rectangular cross section, and its lower piece is housed in a square bottomed hole (79) formed on the upper surface of the operation button (66), and the upper end of the upper piece has , Is in pressure contact with the lower surface of the elbow pad (41).
[0064]
At the center of the lower surface of the rear end of the support piece (66b) on the rear side, a locking shaft (80) is protruded downward, and this locking shaft (80) is inserted into the plurality of locking grooves (75). , From above.
[0065]
The lower end of the operation button (66) slightly protrudes into an opening (57) between the elbow pad (5) and the support arm (45), inserts a hand into the opening (57), and turns upward. It can move.
[0066]
In the center of the lower surface of the operation button (66), a concave portion (66c) for finger hanging is formed to be recessed upward.
[0067]
In the armrest device of the above embodiment, the height adjustment of the armrest (5) can be performed as follows.
[0068]
As schematically shown in FIG. 11, when the height of the elbow pad (5) is at the lower limit position, the left and right ends of the pin (38) inserted into the upper end of the elastic support piece (29) of the support member (13) are moved. Is supported by the V-shaped bottom surface of the inclined surface (20b) at the lower end of the concave groove (20) formed on the opposing surfaces of the left and right height adjusting members (12), and is prevented from descending further. ing.
[0069]
When the entire armrest (3) is pulled up from this state, both ends of the pin (38) move obliquely rearward and upward along the lower surface of the first-stage locking piece (21b) of the stop member (21). As a result, the elastic support piece (29) is elastically deformed rearward, and at the same time as the pin (38) climbs over the tip of the locking piece (21b), the elastic support piece (29) is restored to its original vertical position as shown by a two-dot chain line. It is elastically restored to the position.
[0070]
Thereby, both ends of the pin (38) are elastically engaged with and supported by the base on the upper surface of the first-stage engaging piece (21b), and the height of the elbow pad (5) is reduced. The height from the lower end of the groove (20) to the distance between the bases of the first-stage locking pieces (21b) is increased, and is held at that position.
[0071]
When the entire armrest (3) is further pulled up from this position, the pin (38) is sequentially engaged with and supported by the upper locking piece (21b) by the same operation as described above, and the locking piece (21b) is The height of the armrest (5) can be adjusted stepwise by a number. FIG. 3 shows an example in which the elbow pad (5) is adjusted to the maximum height.
[0072]
At this time, the cable (39) accommodated in the column (4) is also pulled, but the cable (39) is formed into a loop shape in the column (4) and is inserted into the insertion holes (26) and (35). Since it is slidably supported, an increase in height is absorbed by a reduction in the loop length, and there is no risk of raising the elbow pad (5).
[0073]
When the armrest (3) is pulled up to the upper limit position, the pin (38) moves forward over the tip of the guide piece (21c). When the armrest (3) is pushed down in this state, as shown in FIG. The elastic support piece (29) is elastically deformed forward, contrary to the above, and the pin (38) is connected to the guide path (21a) between the base piece (21a) of the stop member (21) and the front surface of the concave groove (20). By moving downward through 20c) and moving to the lower end of the groove (20), the elbow pad (5) is lowered at one time to the lower limit position.
[0074]
At this time, the guide between the base piece (21a) and the front surface of the concave groove (20) is provided in order to prevent the elbow pad (5) from dropping abruptly and to alleviate the impact when stopping at the lower limit position. The gap in the path (20c) may be sized so that the pin (38) can slide with an appropriate frictional force.
[0075]
As described above, when the height adjusting mechanism (9) of the above embodiment is used, the elbow rest (3) can be simply moved up and down without using any special operation means. 5) The height can be adjusted step by step.
[0076]
The operation lever (58) of the cable (39) is attached to the support arm (45) and moves up and down with the support arm (45), so that the operability is significantly higher than that provided at the lower portion of the seat body. improves.
[0077]
When adjusting the position of the elbow rest (5) in the left-right direction, first, the operation button (66) is pushed up against the leaf spring (67), and the locking shaft (80) at the rear end is moved to the position adjusting plate (64). ) Is released above the locking groove (75).
[0078]
Next, with the operation button (66) kept pressed, the elbow pad (5) is rotated left and right until the ball (72) engages with one of the stop holes (73).
[0079]
Then, when the operator releases the operation button (66), the locking shaft (80) automatically engages with one of the locking grooves (75) linearly aligned with the stopped stop hole (73). The position of the elbow rest (5) in the left-right direction can be adjusted stepwise according to the physique and work content of the seated person.
[0080]
At this time, since the ball (72) is elastically engaged with the stop hole (73), the elbow pad (5) can be rotated stepwise with a sense of moderation.
[0081]
An opening (57) through which a hand can be inserted is provided through an intermediate portion in the front-rear direction immediately below the elbow rest (5), and an operation button (66) is provided above the opening (57). By simply inserting a hand from the outside of the opening (57), the position of the operation button (66) can be easily confirmed in the sitting posture, and the thumb attached to the upper surface of the elbow pad (5) And the other four fingers inserted through the opening (57) so that the elbow pad (5) can be gripped and rotated, or the operation button (66) can be pushed. Operability is improved.
[0082]
The front end of the elbow rest (5) is supported by a support arm (45) provided on the support rod (11) and extending forward and upward, and is supported by the rear end and both ends. High strength against pressing load.
[0083]
Further, since the support arm (45) rotates together with the elbow pad (5) and the support point at the front end thereof hardly changes, even if the elbow pad (5) is rotated in either the left or right direction, a large resistance is provided. Load strength is obtained.
[0084]
Further, the operating lever (58) also rotates together with the elbow rest (5) and the support arm (45), and is always oriented almost in the same direction immediately below the front end of the elbow rest (5). 5) With the palm resting on the front end, the finger can be easily turned upward by a finger.
[0085]
Since the lever main body (58a) of the operation lever (58) and the arm main body (45b) of the support arm (45) are substantially continuous upward and forward, the cable (39) connected to the operation lever (58). It is not necessary to bend the steep angle, and the push-pull of the wire therein is performed smoothly.
[0086]
【The invention's effect】
According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the operating lever is provided on the support arm that supports the front end of the elbow rest, the elbow rest and the operating lever are close to each other, and the operability is improved.
[0087]
In addition, even when the present invention is applied to a chair in which the height of the elbow rest and the position in the left-right direction can be adjusted, the operability does not deteriorate because the operation lever moves together with the elbow rest.
[0088]
Further, when an operation lever is provided on the support arm, when connecting a cable or the like to the operation lever, it is not necessary to bend it at an acute angle, so that the push-pull of the cable becomes smooth.
[0089]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, when the elbow rest is rotated in the left-right direction, the support arm also pivots with it, so that the support point of the elbow rest at the upper end of the support arm hardly changes, and the elbow rest is moved in any direction. Even when rotated, a large load-bearing strength can be obtained.
[0090]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, in a state where the palm rests on the upper surface of the front end of the elbow pad, a finger can be hung from the front on the lower surface of the front end of the operation lever, and this can be rotated upward, so that the operation lever can be turned upward. Operability is greatly improved.
[0091]
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, the operation lever can be simply and rotatably attached to the support arm without using any special tools or parts.
[0092]
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the terminal of the cable can be easily disengaged from the operation lever.
