【0037】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a rotation angle detection device that detects a rotation angle of a rotator, and a torque detection device that detects torque applied to the rotator.
[0002]
[Prior art]
BACKGROUND ART A steering assist device mounted on a vehicle such as an automobile and assisting a driver's steering operation includes an electric power steering device that applies, for example, a rotational force of an electric motor as a steering assist force. Such an electric power steering device includes an input shaft and an output shaft that are connected to a steering member and a steering wheel, respectively, and that rotate in accordance with a driver's steering operation. Further, the steering device includes a rotation angle detection device including a sensor unit that detects each rotation angle of the input / output shaft, and a torque detection device that detects a steering torque applied to the steering member using a detection result of the detection device. The steering device determines a command value to the electric motor based on the detected steering torque, and transmits the motor rotational force to the steering system via the speed reduction mechanism, thereby providing steering assistance to the steering system. The steering assist is performed by applying a force (see, for example, JP-A-2002-107112).
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, the sensor section of the rotation angle detecting device includes a target disk mounted so as to be integrally rotatable for each input / output axis, and a magnetoresistive element which is opposed to the outer peripheral surface of the disk with a predetermined gap. And a magnetic sensor that outputs an output signal that changes periodically according to the rotation of the corresponding input / output shaft.
However, in the magnetic sensor, the amplitude of the output signal is easily affected by changes in the ambient temperature and the gap, and the signal amplitude is easily changed in accordance with changes in the ambient temperature. Specifically, for example, when the ambient temperature increases, the resistance value of the magnetoresistive element decreases, and the change in the resistance value also decreases the signal amplitude. As a result, there has been a problem that the output characteristics of the magnetic sensor are not stable.
[0004]
In view of the above-described conventional problems, the present invention provides a rotation angle detection device and a torque detection device that can suppress the influence of a temperature change or the like in a sensor unit and can secure stable output characteristics. The purpose is to:
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The rotation angle detection device of the present invention has a sensor unit that outputs an output signal according to the rotation of the rotator, and is a rotation angle detection device that detects the rotation angle of the rotator based on the output signal from the sensor unit. So,
An inverting amplifier for amplifying an output signal from the sensor unit is provided, and the sensor unit includes an inverting input of the amplifier such that an amplification factor of the inverting amplifier changes according to a change in a resistance value of the sensor unit. Connected to a terminal side, and the inverting amplifier is configured to output the output signal from the sensor unit such that the amplitude of the amplified output signal becomes a substantially constant value according to the rotation detected by the rotator. Is amplified (claim 1).
[0006]
In the rotation angle detecting device configured as described above, the sensor unit is connected to the inverting input terminal side of the amplifier so that the amplification factor of the inverting amplifier changes according to the change in the resistance value of the sensor unit, The amplifier amplifies the output signal input from the sensor unit such that the amplitude of the amplified output signal becomes a substantially constant value according to the rotation detected by the rotating body. As a result, even when the amplitude of the output signal before amplification changes due to a change in ambient temperature or the like, the output signal after amplification can always be output with a substantially constant amplitude value.
[0007]
Further, in the rotation angle detection device (claim 1), the inverting amplifier is configured so that an amplitude of the amplified output signal becomes a substantially constant value according to the detected rotation of the rotator. It is preferable that the resistance value of the input resistor of the inverting amplifier is set (claim 2).
In this case, the output signal after amplification is kept substantially constant even when the amplitude of the output signal before amplification changes due to a change in ambient temperature or the like, without making the circuit scale of the inverting amplifier complicated and large. It can be an amplitude value.
[0008]
Further, in the rotation angle detecting device (claim 1 or 2), the sensor unit includes a target having a magnetic body provided so as to be integrally rotatable with the rotating body, and a target having a magnetoresistive element and having a magnetic resistance effect element. And a magnetic sensor disposed opposite to the magnetic sensor.
In this case, the output signal from the magnetic sensor can be a periodic signal that periodically changes in accordance with a change in the rotation angle of the rotating body, and the rotation detection accuracy of the rotating body in the sensor unit can be reduced by using an inexpensive configuration. It can be easily improved.
[0009]
Further, the torque detecting device of the present invention may be configured such that the first and second rotating shafts are provided for a rotating body including a first rotating shaft and a second rotating shaft coaxially connected to the first rotating shaft. And a rotation angle detection device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the rotation angle is determined by using the rotation angles of the first and second rotation shafts detected by the corresponding rotation angle detection device. A torque detecting unit for detecting a torque applied to the body is provided (claim 4).
[0010]
In the torque detecting device configured as described above (claim 4), the output signal from the rotation angle detecting device to the torque detecting unit always has the substantially constant amplitude value regardless of a change in the ambient temperature. Output in a stable state.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of a rotation angle detection device and a torque detection device of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following description, a case where the present invention is applied to an electric power steering device as a steering assist device will be described in order to facilitate comparison with a conventional example.

The resistance value r12 of the parallel combined resistor R12 changes according to the temperature coefficient C1 of the resistor R12 obtained by combining the temperature coefficients of the resistors R1 and R2, and is shown in, for example, FIG. As described above, the resistance value r12 shows different values depending on the temperature. Further, the signal amplitude Vpp before amplification also changes according to a temperature change, for example, as shown in FIG.
Here, the temperature coefficients of the temperature change and the signal amplitude Vpp before amplification are denoted by Δt and C2, respectively, and the temperature coefficients of the input resistor R3 and the feedback resistor R4 on the inverting

[0026]
On the right side of the above equation (2), if the coefficient of the temperature change Δt is the same, the amplified signal amplitude Va can be set to a constant value without being affected by the temperature change Δt. That is, the following equation (3) holds.
[0027]
[Equation 3]
[0028]
In the above equation (3), the resistance value r12 of the parallel combined resistor R12 is a fixed value unique to the magnetic sensor A1, and the temperature coefficient C1 of the resistor R12 and the temperature coefficient C2 of the signal amplitude Vpp are determined by the sensor output characteristics. It can be determined as a constant value specific to the sensor based on the value. Therefore, by previously adjusting the resistance value r3 of the input resistor R3 of the inverting

[0034]
In the above description, a case has been described in which a half-bridge type magnetic sensor having series resistors R1 and R2 and a DC source V1 constituting the MR element is used in each of the sensor units P, Q and R. However, according to the present invention, the sensor section is connected to the inverting input terminal of the inverting amplifier so that the amplification factor of the inverting amplifier changes in accordance with the change in the resistance value of the sensor section, and the inverting amplifier has the amplified sensor. What is necessary is just to amplify the output signal from the sensor unit so that the amplitude of the output signal becomes a substantially constant value in accordance with the rotation detected by the rotating body. It is not limited at all. Specifically, in a sensor section having a full-bridge type MR sensor composed of four resistors (MR elements) and a differential amplifier that differentially amplifies two outputs from the MR sensor, the two inversions are used. An amplifier is disposed between the MR sensor and the differential amplifier, and the two outputs of the MR sensor are input to the inverting input terminals of the two inverting amplifiers, respectively, thereby eliminating the influence of temperature drift of each output. In addition, a stable output characteristic as a signal amplitude subjected to temperature compensation or the like can be obtained from the differential amplifier.

[0036]
Further, in the above description, the case where the present invention is applied to the electric power steering apparatus having the steering assist unit that applies the steering assist force to the steering system by the deceleration mechanism and the electric motor 6 has been described. The torque detection device can be applied to a hydraulic power steering device that controls a hydraulic valve based on the steering torque and the like.
In addition to the above steering assist device, the rotation angle detection device of the present invention is applied to, for example, a brushless motor, and by detecting the rotation angle of the motor shaft, the accuracy of the rotation speed detection and motor control can be easily improved. Can be done. In addition, by incorporating a torque detecting device including the rotation angle detecting device into a device requiring torque detection, for example, a bicycle with auxiliary power (so-called electric bicycle), a human-powered driving force (pedal pedaling force) can be accurately detected. You can also.
[0037]
【The invention's effect】
The present invention configured as described above has the following effects.
According to the rotation angle detection device of claim 1, even when the signal amplitude of the sensor unit before amplification changes due to a change in ambient temperature or the like, the output signal of the amplified sensor unit output from the inverting amplifier. Can always be output stably with a substantially constant amplitude value, so that the influence of a temperature change or the like on the sensor unit can be suppressed, and stable output characteristics can be secured.
[0038]
According to the rotation angle detecting device of the second aspect, the output signal after amplification can be made to have a substantially constant amplitude value without increasing the circuit scale of the inverting amplifier, and the cost is low and the subsequent output signal is low. Can easily configure a rotation angle detection device that can easily perform the processing of (1).
[0039]
According to the rotation angle detection device of the third aspect, the rotation detection accuracy of the rotating body in the sensor unit can be easily improved with an inexpensive configuration, so that the rotation angle detection device excellent in sensing performance and inexpensive is provided. It can be easily configured.
[0040]
According to the torque detection device of the fourth aspect, the output signal from the rotation angle detection device to the torque detection unit is always output at the substantially constant amplitude value in a stable state regardless of a change in the ambient temperature. Therefore, the torque detecting process in the torque detecting unit can be easily and accurately performed.
