この発明は、吸気口を本体から分離して、可動式アームに繋ぐことにより移動出来るようにしたキッチン用換気扇である。従来、キッチン用換気扇の吸気口は一個所に固定しているため、換気したい所から遠くになってしまって換気能力が低下するといった問題があった。また、サイズが大きいために、インテリアデザイン上の扱いが難しかったり、さらに、使用中の騒音がうるさいといったような問題点もあった。本発明は、換気扇の吸気口を本体部分から分離させて、ホースで繋ぎ、可動式アームを利用して移動させることにより、換気したい場所のそばまで吸気口を近づけることを容易にしたものである。また、吸気口と換気扇本体部分を分離させたが故に、換気扇の本体部分を「室外」に設置することも可能となり、室内におけるデザイン上の問題や騒音の問題も解決することが可能となった。本体部分を室外に設置するということは、「室内側の機器が小さくて済む」、また、「騒音も軽減される」ということを意味するからである。構造的には単純明快で、室外に設置した換気扇本体部分と室内側の吸気口をホースで繋ぎ、次に吸気口を室内の壁面に固定した可動式アームに繋いで、一体化させる。以上である。可動式アームの機能は照明用のアームスタンドなどと同等である。
