従来技術における機器収納用ラックは、図7に示すように、扉体31の前面31aにのみ窓32が設けられていた。窓32には、内部機器が透視できるようなアクリル等のカバー33を取り付けていた。その取り付け方法は、図8に示すように、カバー34の端部を粘着テープ35で扉体36に貼付していた。または、図9に示すように、扉体37にスタッドボルト38を立設し、カバー39には取り付け穴40を設け、スタッドボルト38と取り付け穴40を一致させ、ナット(図示せず)で締め付け固定していた。

窓5にカバー6を取り付けるには、機器収納用ラック1正面より、カバー6を窓5の周縁に当てガイド10に沿ってスライド移動させる。カバー6の端部または、ストッパー10が窓5の端部に当たったときにフック9は、角穴7に係合し固定される。

本発明に係る機器収納用ラックのカバー取り付け方法は、上記機器収納用ラックの正面よりカバーを窓に取り付ける方法に限定されるものではなく、図6に示すように、扉体11の側面11a側に角穴12を形成し、カバー13の前面13a側にガイド14を、側面13b側にフック15を設け、カバー13を機器収納用ラックの側面より窓16に取り付けるようにしてもよく、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲において適宜変更可能である。

以上述べたように、本発明に係る機器収納用ラックは、扉体には、扉体の形状に合わせて前面から側面まで二面にわたる窓を設け、窓は扉体と同様に前面及び側面の一部にわたる形状のカバーで被覆するため、前面からも、側面からも、機器収納用ラックの内部が透視でき、内部機器の動作状態等を確認する場合に便利である。

また、カバーには、窓部端縁をスライド移動可能であるガイドと、扉体に係止可能なフックを設けると共に、扉体には、フックが突出及び係合可能である、係合穴を設けるため、従来のカバー取り付けに比べ、工数が大幅に削減できると共に、治具も不要となり、作業性が向上し、作業費の削減にもなる。また、従来のねじ取り付けと異なり、ガイドとフックにより軽視されているので、熱等でカバーが多少伸縮しても変形に至ることはない。
