近年、品質の低下や、機能性の面で包装用容器の材料は、プラスチックフィルム、アルミニウム箔などを中心に種々の材料を積層して、その各種強度、バリア性、ヒートシール性などの性能に優れたものを目指し開発されてきた。しかし、一方で、前記各種強度やヒートシール性などの向上と相反することとして開封しやすい性能の容器であることも要望されている。

このような包装用容器から内容物を取出すに際には、該プラスチックラミネートフィルムを切り裂く必要があるが、最外層に延伸ポリプロピレンやポリエチレンテレフタレートなどのプラスチックフィルムを用いた場合、フィルムの引き裂き強度が強いため、人手による開封は極めて困難である。プラスチックフィルムはひとたび切り裂きが開始されると後は比較的弱い力でスムーズに切り裂くことが可能であるので、この作業を軽減するために開封のきっかけを与えるノッチ(切れ目)を設けているのが一般的である。
上記ノッチにはいわゆるたんなる線状の切り込みのIノッチ、V字型に切り込みを設けたVノッチ、Uの字型に切り込みを設けたUノッチ、UノッチとVノッチを複合したような切込みを設けたUVノッチなどが設けられている。

一般にノッチ付の袋体を効率的に製袋するための技法としては、例えば次のような技法が用いられる。すなわち、あらかじめ袋状に成形した容器のヒートシール部の中央の必要な位置に左右対象のノッチ成型用の穴を開けておき、次いで該ヒートシール部の中央に沿って切断することにより左右の包装用容器に分離するというものである。この際、ノッチは出来上がった包装容器の左右の両側に成形されることになる。この場合、成形した両ノッチ穴の真の中央で切断することは至難であり、製造中にわずかにではあるがズレを生じる。そのため、ノッチの形状は多少ズレても同じ形になる必要があるので、Vノッチはこの加工方法には適さず、Iノッチ、Uノッチ、UVノッチが選択される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
Uノッチ、UVノッチの場合、ノッチの位置がわかりやすいという長所があるが、ノッチの中に指の腹等が入る幅があるため、袋を取り扱う場合にノッチの角部に引っ掛かり怪我をしたり、あるいは、製造時や輸送時などに他の容器が引っ掛かり不必要時に開封したり、あるいは他の容器が破袋したりする問題がある。特に、レトルト容器のようなアルミニウム箔を積層した比較的厚いラミネートフィルムの場合は特に引っ掛けて怪我をする可能性があり危険である。一方、この危険を回避するためにノッチの幅を狭くする解決策が実用新案登録第3069552号に、あるいは、ノッチの切れ目で樹脂層の樹脂を熱溶着する解決策が特開2001−315800号公報に開示されている。

また、特開平9−323754号公報においてはノッチが少なくとも2本の曲線によって形成され、角部を有さない形状にすることが提案されているが、手を怪我する心配は軽減されるものの前述したノッチを効率的に加工する方法として多用されている製造方法を使用することは出来ない。この理由はVノッチの場合と同じである。
Iノッチの幅を狭くして該ノッチの先端にはノッチを確認できる切り欠き部を設ける提案は確認ができるが、この提案はノッチの幅は狭くできるがノッチの全体の深さが大きくなることから、フィルムの切断面のズレにより角部が生じ、引っ掛けの原因となってしまう。

また、Iノッチの切れ目を樹脂層の樹脂で熱溶着すると前記の問題は解決できるもののノッチの形成個所が確認し難いために印刷などで表示が必要となる。
本発明は係る従来技術の問題を解決するものであり、その課題とするところは、周縁がシールされた袋状容器の開封を容易にするノッチの形成が袋状容器を効率的に加工する方法として多用されている製造方法が使用でき、かつ製造時、輸送時に不用意に開封したり、あるいは破袋したりせず、取扱時に指などを怪我をしたりしない易開封性容器のI型ノッチの形状を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明易開封性容器のI型ノッチの形状は、袋状容器のヒートシール部に設けた開封用I型ノッチの形状において、該I型ノッチ部を切れ目の全形状を略矢印形状とした切れ目の矢柄部に相当する切れ目として形成するとともに、該矢印形状の切れ目の矢尻部に相当する切れ目を前記矢柄部に相当する切れ目の最奥部と若干隔離して形成してあることを特徴とする。
この際、前記矢柄部に相当する切れ目の最奥部から矢尻相当部へ至るまでの距離は1乃至2mm程としてある形状とするとよい。

このような形状にすることにより、Iノッチでも開封用の位置がわかりやすく、かつ、角部が生じにくくすることができるので不用意な開封や取扱時に怪我などが生じないI型ノッチの形状を提供することができるのでよい。
このI型ノッチの形状は袋状容器がプラスチックラミネートフィルム又はアルミ箔ラミネートフィルム製である袋状容器においてさらに有効である。

以下本発明の実施の形態を説明する。
図1はノッチをもつ袋状容器はノッチ加工に多用されている製造方法を示す説明図であり、例えばプラスチックラミネートフィルム5をヒートシール部1でヒートシールし、連続した袋状容器とする。次の工程でノッチ2となるノッチ成型用の穴をあける。さらに次の工程でヒートシールの中央さらに、前記ノッチ成型用の穴の中央の切断位置4で切断することにより個別の袋状容器となる。図2は従来のノッチの形状を示す平面図である。
図3は、図1で説明した本発明におけるノッチ加工の一例である。図4は本発明におけるノッチの形状を示す平面図である。さらに、図5は比較例の製造を説明する説明図である。本発明は、図1で説明した装置、方法をそのまま使用することができる。すなわち、前述したノッチ成型用の穴の形成用の刃物を図3に示す形状のI型ノッチ6’と矢尻部7の刃物に変更することにより加工・製造ができるものである。

【実施例】
以下、実施例により、本発明を具体的に説明するが本発明は該実施例のみに限定されるものではない。
ラミネートされた厚み120μmの5層フィルムである。その構成は外側からポリエチレンテレフタレート12μm/延伸ナイロン15μm/アルミ箔7μm/無延伸ポリプロピレン30μm/無延伸ポリプロピレン50μmを用いて、図1にて説明した工程にて図3に例示される種々の形状の開封用のI型ノッチを形成したシール幅が6mmのスタンディングパウチを製造した。採用したノッチの形状を図4のA、Bに示す。

ノッチの開封方向に沿って容器の端からIノッチの矢柄部6の長さは1.5〜2mmであった。また、矢柄部6に相当する切れ目の最奥部から矢尻部7に相当するノッチまでの隔離は1.5mmであった。次いで得られたパウチに平均厚みが20mmになるように水を充填した後、レトルト処理を行なった後外観チェック、ノッチの周辺のパウチ端面を指でなぞった感触チェック、及び開封性チェックを実施した。その結果、いずれのノッチ形状のパウチも開封位置がわかり易く、ノッチの開口周辺のパウチの端面部3に触れても痛くなく、開封も矢柄部6のI型ノッチ6’から矢尻部7の切れ目に誘導されるので非常に容易であった。また、製造時や輸送時にノッチが製品や工程に接触することもなく、フィルムのズレによる角部も現れ難く指を傷つけることはなかった。
製造に際しては、矢尻部7に相当する部分と矢柄部6に相当する部分とは同一の工程で加工する、あるいは別の工程で加工するかは製造設備により選択することができる。また、矢尻部はパンチによる穴加工とすることができる。

【比較例】
実施例に用いた5層のラミネートされたフィルムでノッチの方法を変更してスタンディングパウチを製造した。ノッチの形成方法は、矢柄に相当する三角形のパンチを2ヶ対象に打ちぬいた。その後の工程に移動して三角形のパンチを繋ぐ様にI型ノッチ6’を引き続き形成する。その後の工程で該中央部を切断することにより、個別の袋状容器を製造した。容器の端から三角形の頂点までの切断されている長さは3〜3.5mmであった。次いで得られたパウチに実施例と同様に水を充填し、レトルト処理を行なったのち同様の評価を行なった。ノッチは開封位置がわかり易く、開封も非常に容易であった。
但し、フイルムのノッチ部分のフィルムをずらすとI型ノッチ6’の角部が現れ、指を触れると鋭利な状態であり、指を傷つける恐れが感じられた。製造時や輸送時にノッチが広がり、よってその角部が露出して安全性に欠けるものであった。

【発明の効果】
本発明は以上の構成であるから、次の効果がある。
即ち、I型ノッチの全体形状を略矢印形状としてあるので袋体の開封位置がわかり易い。また、矢柄部と矢尻部を離してあるのでI型ノッチの角部が広がったり、角張りが生ぜず怪我の心配はない。さらに、効率的に加工する方法の製造設備をそのまま使用することができる。また、本発明は、シール部の弱体化を防ぎ、開封性もスムーズにできるI型ノッチの形状を有した易開封性容器を提供することができるので安全な袋状容器商品として店頭に供することができる等の効果を有する。
