Description

【0001】

It can be a planar part that can be easily managed. This makes it possible to more accurately set the gap size between the outer shape of the molding and the outer shape of the resin member, and it is possible to reliably obtain a desired good-looking design.
[0013]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of a molding attachment structure according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings to be referred to, FIG. 1 is a side view of a vehicle having a resin member and a molding which serve as a protector on a side surface of a body, FIG. 2 is an overall view of the resin member and the molding, and FIG. It is.
A long resin member 6 serving as a protector is horizontally mounted on the side of the body of the car 1 from the rear of the front fender 2 of the front wheel 3 to the rear of the rear fender 5 through the door 4. A mall 7 for decoration is attached. The resin member 6 and the molding 7 are provided for each of the front fender 2, the doors 4, 4, and the rear fender 5. As a result, the decorativeness of the side surface of the body of the vehicle 1 is improved, and at the same time, the side surface of the body of the vehicle 1 can be protected even when the door 4 is lightly contacted with another vehicle.
The resin member 6 is formed by, for example, injection-molding a plastic such as a vinyl chloride resin, and the molding 7 is formed by, for example, processing a stainless steel plate into a sheet metal. The injection molding of the resin member 6 will be described later in detail.
[0014]
As shown in FIGS. 2A and 3, the front end (left end in FIG. 3) of the molding 7 is inserted into the opening 8 of the resin member 6 and locked. A key-shaped engaging portion 9 is formed on the lower surface of the resin member 6 on the rear side (the right-hand direction in FIG. 3) of the opening 8. 6 is fixed to the body side 11. The attachment of the resin member 6 to the body side 11 by the clip 10 will be described later in detail.
[0015]
Next, referring to FIG. 4 which is an enlarged view of B of FIG. 2, FIG. 5 which is a view taken along line CC of FIG. 4, and FIG. 6 which is a view taken along line DD of FIG. The attachment of the resin member 7 to the resin member 6 will be described.
As shown in FIG. 5, locking grooves 12 and 13 are provided in the longitudinal direction of the resin member 6 and along the line C-C in FIG. 4 for fitting both ends 7 a in the width direction of the molding 7. Have been. The locking groove 12 is a hole with a bottom, while the locking groove 13 is a hole with a bottom. Inside the locking grooves 12 and 13, a plurality of locking pieces 14 and 15 extending to the front surface side are provided in parallel in the width direction. At the tip of the locking piece 15, a locking projection 15a is formed that protrudes outward in the width direction of the resin member 6.
The resin member 6 has two legs 6 a and 6 b formed at the lower portion thereof fixed to the body side 11 with a double-sided tape 25.
[0016]
Of the widthwise end portions 7a of the molding 7 fitted in the locking grooves 12, 13, the upper widthwise end portion 7a in the drawing protrudes inward in the widthwise direction and is further curved outward so as to be concave. A bent portion 7b is formed. A straight portion 7c that projects inward in the width direction and extends inward along the width direction is formed at the lower widthwise end portion 7a of the molding 7 on the lower side in the figure.
The upper bent portion 7b of the molding 7 is inserted into the locking groove 12 having the bottom. Since the bent portion 7b is curved, it can be easily fitted into the locking groove 12, and has a shape that is easily deformed, so that it can be easily inserted into the locking groove 12.
The fitted linear portion 7c is further engaged with the locking projection 15a in the locking groove 13 penetrating the bottom. Since the straight portion 7c has a planar shape for easy dimension control and comes into contact with the locking projection 15a, the gap dimension s between the outer shape of the molding 7 and the outer shape of the resin member 6 is set more accurately. The gap dimension s becomes a design line in the longitudinal direction, so that a desired good-looking design can be reliably obtained.
A hole 16 is formed between the locking pieces 14 and 15, and the size of the hole 16 can appropriately set the ease of deformation of the locking pieces 14 and 15.
[0017]
Similarly, as shown in FIG. 6, in order to fit the upper ends of both ends 7 a in the width direction of the molding 7 in the lengthwise direction of the resin member 6 and along the line D-D in FIG. 4. A locking groove 17 is formed in the back of the locking groove 12 so as to be bent in a key shape, and is a hole protruding from the bottom. The locking groove 18 for fitting the lower end of both ends 7a in the width direction of the molding 7 is a hole with a bottom.
Inside the locking grooves 17, 18, a plurality of locking pieces 19, 20 extending to the front surface side are provided in parallel in the width direction. At the tip of the locking piece 19, a locking projection 19a projecting outward in the width direction of the resin member 6 is formed.
The lower end 7a of the molding 7 is inserted and locked into the locking groove 18 having a bottom. The upper end 7a of the molding 7 inserted into the locking groove 12 is the entrance of the locking groove 17 that has penetrated the bottom, and the fitted bent portion 7b is further engaged with the locking protrusion 19a. .
[0018]
The locking groove 17 similar to the locking groove 17 is formed at a position symmetrical with respect to the line CC of FIG. A key protector-side bent side protector molding 27 is fixed to the lower surface of the resin member 6 in front of the opening 30 (to the left in the drawing). It is embedded in the body side 11. An engagement groove 28 is formed on the lower surface of the side protector molding 27 on the resin member 6 side, and the engagement piece 10a of the clip 10 is engaged with the engagement groove 28 from the left-hand direction in the drawing. Then, the pair of enlarged portions 10 b of the clip 10 are inserted into holes (not shown) formed in the body side 11, and the resin member 6 is fixed to the body side 11.
[0021]
Next, injection molding of the resin member 6 will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 9A shows a cross section of the upper die 31 and the lower die 32 of the mold of the resin member 6, and a cavity 33 formed between the upper die 31 and the lower die 32 has a cross-sectional shape of the resin member 6.
In FIG. 9 (b), the upper mold 31 and the lower mold 32 are combined, and a molten thermoplastic resin such as a vinyl chloride resin is filled in a cavity 33 between the upper mold 31 and the lower mold 32 from a casting gate (not shown). inject.
Next, when the thermoplastic resin cools and hardens in FIG. 9C, the upper mold 31 and the lower mold 32 are removed, and the resin member 6 is taken out. Thereby, the locking pieces 15, 19 and the long resin member 6 are integrally formed.
As described above, the front end and the rear end of the molding 7 are locked by being inserted into the openings 8 and 30 of the resin member 6, and the middle part of the molding 7 is connected to both ends 7 a and 7 a in the width direction of the molding 7. The molding 7 can be attached to the resin member 6 by being fitted into the locking grooves 12, 13, 17, 18 and engaging with the locking projections 15a, 19a of the resin member 6, so that a double-sided tape, an adhesive or the like can be used. And the number of mounting steps can be reduced, so that the cost can be reduced.
In the foregoing, an example of the preferred embodiment has been described for the present invention. However, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and design changes can be made as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
[0022]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the molding mounting structure according to the first aspect of the present invention, since the molding can be fitted into the resin member from the outside, double-sided tape, adhesives, and the like can be reduced, and the number of mounting steps can be reduced. Therefore, the cost can be reduced.
[0023]
In the molding attaching structure according to the second aspect of the present invention, the manufacturing cost of the entire resin member can be reduced by setting the locking piece to have a shape integrally formed with the resin member main body.
[0024]
In the molding mounting structure according to the third aspect of the present invention, the bent portion is formed to be curved, so that the resin member can be easily fitted into the locking groove of the resin member and easily deformed. Insertion becomes easier.
[0025]
In the molding mounting structure according to the fourth aspect of the present invention, by forming a straight portion in the bent portion, the portion to be brought into contact with the locking projection of the resin member is a planar portion that is easily dimensionally controlled. Can be. This makes it possible to more accurately set the gap size between the outer shape of the molding and the outer shape of the resin member, and it is possible to reliably obtain a desired good-looking design.
