一般に、電気機器等の各種機器としては、小型コンピュータ,ワードプロセッサ,ファクシミリ等を初めとして種々のものが知られているが、このような機器においては、定位置以外の別の向きで操作したい場合があり、この場合には、各種機器を機器用回転台に回転可能に支持し、必要時に定位置から回転させて別の向きにし、使用するようにしている。

従来、この種の機器用回転台としては、例えば、実開昭63−9931号公報に掲載されたものが知られている。
