Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pedometer-installed exercise device utilizing a portable pedometer.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In order to eliminate lack of exercise, eliminate obesity, and promote health, it is necessary to consume excess calories per day by walking and aerobic exercise using exercise equipment, and balance the calorie intake and consumed calories. However, in this case, the calorie consumption is calculated by the pedometer for walking and the exercise equipment is used for the exercise equipment. As described above, when the calorie consumption is calculated individually, the user has to total the calorie consumption.
[0003]
For this purpose, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-299732 discloses a system in which exercise equipment is used as a base unit, and a pedometer is used as a sub unit, and both are connected via communication means, so that the calorie consumption per day can be counted. In addition, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-314375 discloses a combination of a portable activity recorder and a training device that can communicate with each other.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described apparatus, display means and communication means are required for both the exercise equipment and the pedometer (portable activity recorder), which is problematic in terms of cost. Particularly, in order to avoid troubles in communication, a highly reliable communication function is required, and there are many problems in this point.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of such a point, and an object of the present invention is to provide a pedometer-installed exercise device that can perform a low-cost tally of exercise amounts of walking and exercise using an exercise device. To offer.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Thus, the present invention includes a movement detection unit that detects a walking movement, and includes a calculation unit that counts the number of steps during walking detected by the movement detection unit to calculate a movement amount, and a display unit that displays the movement amount. The exercise device comprises a pedometer and an exercise device provided with a load means. The exercise device includes a mounting portion to which the pedometer is mounted. The exercise device includes a motion transmission unit that operates a motion detection unit on the pedometer side. It has special features.
[0007]
The exercise detection unit, the operation unit, and the display unit on the pedometer side are used to detect exercise on the exercise equipment side and calculate and display the exercise amount.
[0008]
A magnetically responsive member can be suitably used for the motion detecting section, and a magnet can be suitably used for the motion transmitting section.
[0009]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on an example of an embodiment. As shown in FIG. 1, a pedometer-installed exercise device according to the present invention includes a pedometer 1 and an exercise device 2. However, the display unit 13 for the display unit of the exercise amount (calorie consumption) is provided only on the pedometer 1 side, and the exercise unit for measuring the exercise amount (here, the reed switch 10) and the exercise amount based on the measurement result. Is also provided only on the pedometer 1 side.
[0010]
2 and 3 show an example of the pedometer 1 used here. The main body 1a of the pedometer 1 including the main body 1a, the lid 1b, and the clip 1c for mounting (see FIG. 5) includes: An operation switch 14 (switches 14a, 14b, 14c, 14d for display switching, weight input, reset, clock adjustment, etc.) and a display unit 13 formed of a liquid crystal display are provided. Is a pendulum 17 that swings due to vibration during walking, a reed switch 10 that is sensitive to the magnet 11 provided on the pendulum 17, and a spring (not shown) for urging the pendulum 17 in response to the vibration. An adjustment dial 18 that is changed by force adjustment is provided.
[0011]
If the pedometer 1 is worn on a waist belt or the like using the clip 1c during walking, the reed switch 10 is turned on and off in accordance with the movement of the magnet 11 of the pendulum 17 that swings due to walking vibration. The MPU 12 calculates the amount of exercise (consumed calories) while counting the number of steps based on the on / off state and taking into account the weight and the like input in advance.
[0012]
On the other hand, the exercise equipment 2 shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 is called a bicycle ergometer, and includes a pulley 30 rotated by a crank 26 having a pedal 27 mounted therein and a rotation of the pulley 30 in a housing 25 thereof. Is transmitted through a belt 31 and a driven pulley 32. In the figure, 28 is a leg, and 29 is a load adjustment dial. The exercise device 2 performs a bicycle rowing exercise by turning a crank 26 with a leg thrown forward by a user sitting separately in a chair.
[0013]
The exercise equipment 2 is provided with a mounting part 40 on which the pedometer 1 can be set. The pedometer 1 with the lid 1b opened is set on the mounting portion 40 that can be covered by the cover 41. When the pedometer 1 is set in this manner, the space behind the main body 1a of the pedometer 1 is set as described above. The magnet 21 attached to the pulley 30 passes.
[0014]
In other words, if the pedometer 1 is set on the mounting portion 40 and the crank 26 is turned, the magnet 21 turns on and off the reed switch 10 in the pedometer 1 as the pulley 30 rotates. Can also be measured and displayed on the pedometer 1 side, so that the amount of exercise during walking and the amount of exercise using the exercise equipment are automatically totaled.
[0015]
Since the momentum of the reed switch 10 during one on-off operation when walking is different from the momentum of the reed switch 10 per on-off operation of the reed switch 10 by the magnet 21 on the exercise equipment 2 side, the pedometer 1 When the is set on the exercise equipment 2, the measurement mode is switched by the operation switch 14. In this regard, it is preferable to provide a means for switching the measurement mode when the pedometer 1 is set in the mounting section 40. In addition, in calculating and displaying the calorie consumption exercise amount on the pedometer 1 side, in consideration of the input user's weight, body fat percentage, age, gender, adjustment position of the load adjustment dial 29 on the exercise apparatus 2 side, and the like. It is desirable that the information be calculated and displayed.
[0016]
In the illustrated example, the magnet 21 is provided on the pulley 30 that rotates integrally with the crank 26. However, an electromagnet is used as the magnet 21, and the magnet 21 is excited, for example, for each rotation of the load unit 20. Then, the mounting portion 40 can be arranged at an arbitrary position regardless of its location, particularly at a position where the display portion 13 is easy to see. Also, the form of the exercise equipment 2 is not limited to the type of the bicycle ergometer, and can be applied to any exercise equipment 2 without any problem. In particular, if the control unit 22 for adjusting the number of times of excitation of the magnet 21 which is an electromagnet according to the set load of the load means 20 is provided, the momentum of the pedometer 1 is used despite the use of the reed switch 10. The calculation can be performed more accurately.
[0017]
Furthermore, although the apparatus utilizing the magnets 11 and 21 and the reed switch 10 is shown, the exercise apparatus 2 applies vibration to the pedometer 1 mounted on the mounting section 40 to operate the pendulum 17. You may.
[0018]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the present invention, a movement detection unit that detects a walking movement, a calculation unit that counts the number of steps during walking detected by the movement detection unit to calculate the amount of movement, and a display unit that displays the amount of movement A pedometer including a pedometer and an exercise device including a load unit, the exercise device including a mounting portion to which the pedometer is mounted includes a motion transmission unit that activates a motion detection unit on the pedometer side. Because it is provided, it is possible to detect the exercise on the exercise equipment side and calculate and display the exercise amount by using the exercise detection unit, the operation unit, and the display unit on the pedometer side. The pedometer automatically sums up the amount of exercise and the amount of exercise at the time of exercising using the exercise equipment, so that the daily calorie consumption (exercise amount) can be known easily and at low cost.
[0019]
If a magnetic sensing member is used for the motion detecting unit and a magnet is used for the motion transmitting unit, it is extremely advantageous in terms of cost.
