以下、この発明の実施形態を添付図面に基づいて説明する。図1に示した実施形態の電気ポットは、ポット本体1の肩部材2の上部に蓋3をヒンジ4(図2(a)参照)により開閉自在に取付けている。肩部材2の前端部に設けたくちばし部5の上面に操作パネル6が設けられ、その下方に湯の吐出口7が設けられる。また、蓋3にはつまみ8が設けられる。

以上のように、この発明は、蓋の下板に凹部を設け、その凹部の底に位置決め穴を設けることにより、その位置決め穴から突き出した位置決め突起の先端部が、作業者や使用者の指先に触れ難くなり、安全性が増す効果がある。また、上記の凹部にビス穴も併せて設けることにより、ビス頭にも触れ難くなり、一層安全性が向上する。
