【従来の技術】
従来のチャンネル切り換え方法としては、同期信号の有無に関わらずユーザーが指定したチャンネルを選局するものや、特開平８−３３６０７９号公報に示されているように、同期信号の有無に基づいて放送データがあるチャンネルのみを自動的に切り換えるものがあった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、上記従来のチャンネル切り換え法では、選局したチャンネルの同期信号の有無に関わらずチャンネルが切り換えられてユーザーが視聴できないチャンネルが選局されるため、ユーザー自身が視聴できるチャンネルになるまで選局操作をしなければならなかったり、チャンネル切り換え時に同期信号の有無を判定するため、選局動作に時間がかかってユーザーに不快感を与えるといった問題があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するために、本発明のテレビジョン受像機は、チャンネルを選局して信号を受信する第１チューナーと、第１チューナーが受信した信号に同期信号が存在するか否かを判定する第１同期信号判定手段と、第１同期信号判定手段の判定結果を対応するチャンネルと共にチャンネル情報として記憶する記憶手段と、チャンネル選局指示に対して記憶手段に記憶されたチャンネル情報に基づき同期信号が存在すると判定されたチャンネルに対してのみ選局動作を行なう第２チューナーを有することで、ユーザーのチャンネル切り換えに際して目的のチャンネルへ素早く切り換えることができる。

本実施の形態に係るテレビジョン受像機は、同期判定回路Ａ３からの受信信号を映像処理回路６が処理してＣＲＴ７に表示している際に、同期判定回路Ｂ４によって各チャンネルに対してチューナーＢ２が受信した信号中の同期信号の有無が定期的に判定され、その判定結果が記憶回路５に記憶されている。

以上の説明したように、本発明のテレビジョン受像機によれば、チャンネルの同期信号判定をするための専用チューナを設けることで、ユーザーのチャンネル切り換えに際して目的のチャンネルへ素早く切り換えることができる。

However, in the above-mentioned conventional channel switching method, the channel is switched regardless of the presence or absence of the synchronization signal of the selected channel, and the channel that cannot be viewed by the user is selected. There is a problem that it is necessary to perform an operation, and it is determined whether or not there is a synchronization signal at the time of channel switching, so that it takes a long time to perform a channel selection operation, giving a user discomfort.

In order to solve the above problem, a television receiver according to the present invention determines a first tuner that selects a channel and receives a signal, and determines whether a synchronization signal is present in the signal received by the first tuner. A first synchronizing signal judging means, a storing means for storing the judgment result of the first synchronizing signal judging means together with the corresponding channel as channel information, and synchronizing based on the channel information stored in the storing means in response to a channel selection instruction. By having the second tuner that performs a channel selection operation only on a channel determined to have a signal, it is possible to quickly switch to a target channel when a user switches channels.
