て、ハブ本体に対するブレーキディスク及びハブフラン
ジの位置決めを行っているため、ハブ本体の軸長が比較
的大きくならざるをえないので、ハブ本体の重量増大が
避けられないという問題があった。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明は、ホイールを
取り付けるハブフランジがハブ本体と別個に形成されて
いても、ハブ本体の軸長を比較的小さく形成させようと

る車両のアクスル機構は、車軸に対しベアリングを介し
て回動自在に支持されたハブ本体と、上記ハブ本体の外

周面に外周面が接することにより位置決めされて上記ハ
ブ本体に固定されホイールが取り付けられるハブフラン

体の外周面に接することによりブレーキ部材が位置決め
されていると共に、ハブフランジの外周面がハブ本体の
内周面に接することによりハブフランジが位置決めされ
ているので、ハブ本体の軸長を容易に比較的小さく形成

より略円筒状のハブ本体5がナックル3に対し回動自在

6の内周面がハブ本体5の外周面に接することにより、
ハブ本体5に対してディスクロータ6が位置決めされて
いると共に、ハブ本体5と別個に形成されたハブフラン
ジ7の外周面がハブ本体5の内周面に接することによ
り、ハブ本体5に対してハブフランジ7が位置決めさ
れ、ディスクロータ6及びハブフランジ7はそれぞれを
挿通するボルト8によってハブ本体5の外端面へ固定さ
れている。 【0009】なお、ハブフランジ7の周方向へハブフラ
ンジ7に複数設けられたボルト孔9に図示しないボルト
を挿通させて、そのボルトにより図示しないホイールが
ハブフランジ7に取り付けられるものである。 【0010】上記機構においては、ディスクロータ6の
内周面がハブ本体5の外周面に接することによりディス
クロータ6が位置決めされ、かつ、ハブフランジ7の外
周面がハブ本体5の内周面に接することによりハブフラ
ンジ7が位置決めされていて、ハブ本体5の外周面でハ
ブフランジ7を位置決めする必要が全くないので、結果
的に、ハブ本体5の軸長を比較的小さく形成させること
ができることとなり、また、これに伴って、ナックル3
の軸長も比較的小さく形成させることが可能となるの
で、ハブ本体5及びナックル3を容易に軽量化すること
ができて、車両におけるアクスル機構としてのメリット
が大きい。 【0011】上記実施形態例はディスクブレーキ車のフ
ロントアクスルに関するものであるが、必要に応じてデ
ィスクブレーキ車のリヤアクスルに適用できるのはもち
ろんのこと、ドラムブレーキ車のフロントアクスル、あ

て、それぞれ同等の作用効果を奏することができるのは
