Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance method for a pulse jet type filtering dust collector enabling a worker to safely perform maintenance work while preventing the contamination of the circumference with dust, and the pulse jet type filtering dust collector. <P>SOLUTION: In the maintenance method for the pulse jet type filtering dust collector, the pulse jet type filtering dust collector has a dust chamber in which filter cloths are arranged and a cleaning chamber. The cleaning chamber is divided into a plurality of chambers 2a and 2b, and these chambers have gas outlets 11a and 11b. When filter cloth is replaced or maintenance such as cleaning or the like is performed, the air in the cleaning chamber 2a on a maintenance side is sucked to be introduced into the dust chamber to extract dust and this dust-containing air is discharged to the other chamber on a non- maintenance side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, in a filter type dust collecting apparatus, there are a backwash type and a pulse jet type as a method for removing dust adhering to a filter cloth. That is, in the backwash type, the clean room is partitioned by a plurality of partition plates, and the backwash is performed for each of the partitioned rooms,
That is, the cleaning function of the corresponding chamber is interrupted, and the cleaning gas is caused to flow in the opposite direction to that in the filtration state, so that the dust adhering to the surface of the filter cloth is removed. On the other hand, in the pulse jet method, high-pressure air is blown in pulses to the inner surface of any filter cloth that drops dust without partitioning the clean room and without interrupting operation. The dust adhered to the surface of the filter cloth is wiped off. Therefore, it is generally said that the backwashing method has better dust removal performance, but in the backwashing method, the backwashing filter cloth cannot be used because the backwashing method cannot be used. , It needs to be treated with the remaining filter cloth that has not been backwashed. As a result, the number of filter cloths required is large, and the structure is inevitably large as compared with the pulse jet. Therefore, in recent filtration type dust collectors, the pulse jet type, which has the same capacity as the backwash type and can be downsized, has become the mainstream.

The filter cloth used in the filter-type dust collector plays an important role in collecting dust containing dioxin and the like in the exhaust gas, but dust gradually adheres and impairs its function. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly remove the attached dust. Further, the dust collection function may be deteriorated due to sudden damage of the filter cloth or deterioration due to aging. Therefore, it is necessary to replace these damaged or deteriorated filter cloths urgently or regularly to maintain the dust collecting function.
