Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-insulating packing box made of a corrugated fiberboard which causes no troublesome problem in processing after disposal, can be repetitively recycled and reused, and is relatively inexpensive and not bulky so that it can substitute for an expanded-styrene-made box.
SOLUTION: The packing box comprises a combination of a lidded packaging box for receiving perishable food or the like to be preserved in cold, and a set of upper and lower heat-insulating outer packaging boxes formed in a double-wall structure in a tray form to be put over the packaging box in a butted state. A single piece of corrugated fiberboard to be a material of the packaging box is formed in such a shape that sidewalls are connected with four sides of a rectangular bottom face and corner pieces equipped with two- folding slant creases extending between side ends of the adjacent sidewalls, so that the packaging box is folded in a seamless state free from water leakage. The heat-insulating outer packaging boxes are improved in strength and heat insulation by incorporating a reinforcing plate folded in an upward U-shape.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

In order to achieve the above object, a heat-insulating packaging box made of corrugated cardboard according to the present invention is a packaging box with a lid for storing fresh food or the like that needs to be kept cold, and a butt box shape. It is made up of a pair of upper and lower tray-shaped heat-insulating outer boxes, which are used as the material for the packaging box.
The corrugated cardboard has two side walls connected to each of the four sides of the rectangular bottom face through folds, and between the side edges of the adjacent side walls, two corrugated sheets extending outward from each corner of the bottom face are used for folding. The corner pieces provided with the oblique folds are provided so as to straddle each other through the folds, and the lid pieces are continuously provided through the folds at the upper edges of the pair of side walls facing each other. One piece of corrugated board, which is the material for the heat-insulating outer box, is formed by connecting the outer walls to each of the four sides of the rectangular bottom surface (or the top surface) through folds, and the upper edge of each outer wall. The inner side walls for superimposing on the inner side surface of the inner side wall are connected to each other through double folds. -It is characterized in that it has a form in which insert pieces for inserting into the overlapping gaps on both outer side walls are connected in series through folds. Then, in the heat-insulating outer box, a reinforcing plate bent in an upward U-shape is arranged, the bottom part thereof is along the bottom surface of the heat-insulating outer box, and the rising pieces connected to both ends of the bottom part are
It is advisable to assemble them by inserting them into the overlapping gaps on both outer side walls. Also, the width of the reinforcing plate should be
Shorter than the length of both outer walls, and the lower edges of the inner walls are
It is advisable to provide a notch for fitting the reinforcing plate. In addition, as a material for the packaging box, waterproof corrugated cardboard,
Alternatively, waterproof cardboard may be used.

Further, in the heat-insulating outer box 202, as can be understood from FIG. 11, the bottom surface (or the top surface) 11 and the inner and outer double side walls 12, 22, 14, 24 respectively have the reinforcing plate 10.
3, the bottom portion 31, and the raising pieces 32, 32 and the inserting pieces 16, 2
It will be reinforced by 6. Therefore, even when the packed heat-insulating packing boxes 300 are stacked in multiple stages, it is possible to sufficiently bear a heavy load. In addition, when some large impact force is exerted during the handling of the heat insulating packaging box 300,
The heat-insulating outer box 202 surely protects the packaging box 201.

As is apparent from the above description, the heat-insulating packing box made of corrugated cardboard according to the present invention is a conventional packing box made of styrofoam, which has been used for home delivery of fresh seafood or the like that needs to be kept cold. In comparison, it has the practically superior functions listed below. (A) Unlike styrofoam, finite petroleum resources are not wasted, and there is no need to be confused about measures for treating discarded boxes. (B) The cardboard packaging box can be recycled into cardboard for repeated use. (C) Since it is made of corrugated cardboard with good heat insulation and has a double-wall and multi-wall structure, heat insulation performance comparable to a styrofoam box can be obtained. (D) Since it can be folded compactly, storage and transportation costs can be reduced. (E) The structural strength and heat insulation performance of the packaging box can be significantly improved by only incorporating one reinforcing plate in the heat insulation exterior box. (F) Even if the reinforcing plate that also serves as a heat insulator is made smaller than the size of the heat-insulating outer box in order to save material costs,
The heat insulation is rather enhanced by the air layer formed in the lacking part of the reinforcing plate. (G) Since the packaging box folds up from one sheet of water-resistant corrugated card in a seamless state, there is no risk of water leaking out of the box even if the packaged article contains a considerable amount of water.
