Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for integrally molding the decorative member of a lining member for a vehicle, capable of manufacturing a molded article having excellent appearance and sufficiently held in the joining strength of the decorative member and a substrate material.
SOLUTION: The decorative member 20 and a substrate material resin are integrally molded by arranging the decorative member 20 of the lining member for the vehicle in a mold and injecting the substrate material resin in the cavity of the mold. This molding method includes a process for fixing the decorative member 20, which is obtained by forming notches 22 with a width (a) of 50 mm or less to the part positioned in a cavity at an interval (b) of 300 mm or less, along the mold, a process for injecting the substrate material resin in the cavity and a process for fusing the substrate material resin injected inside the decorative member 20 and the substrate material resin injected outside the decorative member 20 so as to transmit through the notches 22 to integrally mold the decorative member 20 and the substrate material resin.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a method for integrally molding a decorative member for a vehicle lining member and a molded product produced by the method, and more particularly, to a bonding strength between the decorative member and a base material. The present invention relates to a molding method that is sufficiently retained and can improve the appearance.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a vehicle lining member such as a door lining or a side lining that has been used as an interior lining material for automobiles or the like, a skin material is partially integrally formed at the same time as the base material molding, and a decorative portion is provided The technology is known.

As a method of forming a molded article having a decorative portion, for example, a protruding piece is provided on a part of a decorative member, and the protruding piece is fixed by a clamp device provided in a mold to decorate. There has been a method in which a member is closely attached to a mold and fixed, and after the decorative member is fixed, a base resin is filled in the cavity to obtain a molded product.

However, in the above method, since the protruding piece clamped by the clamp device is drawn into one of the molds across the cavity of the mold, the flow of the base resin is interrupted when the number of this part increases. The continuity of the base resin may not be maintained.

For this reason, in the past, the projection piece was made to be about 20% or less of the entire peripheral length of the peripheral edge portion of the skin material to ensure the maximum continuity of the base resin. However, if the number of the protruding pieces for holding is reduced as described above, the position accuracy of the end portion of the decorative member is deteriorated, the decorative member is not properly attached to a predetermined position, or the decorative member is on the surface side There was a case that it protruded from the base material.

In order to solve the above problems, a decorative member is previously formed into a shape along the surface of a mold, and this decorative member is set in the mold to simultaneously form a base material. There is a method of pasting. According to this method, the decorating member is accurately arranged in the mold and follows the mold surface well during molding, so that it is not necessary to hold the decorating member by using a clamp device or the like.

For this reason, it is possible to maintain the continuity of the base resin without dividing the resin at the end of the held decorative member. However, this method has a problem in that the cost is increased because the decorative member is preformed.
