Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to an extra length storage tray for storing a connection portion and an extra connection length of an optical fiber core. 2. Description of the Related Art FIG. 2 shows a conventional extra length storage tray.
In the figure, 10 is an optical fiber core, and 12 is an optical fiber core
10 connections, 14 is extra storage tray, 16 is extra storage tray
14 is a bottom plate, 18 is a rib protruding from an appropriate position on the bottom plate 16 to accommodate the optical fiber connection portion 12, and 20 is a bottom plate 16
A peripheral wall protruding around the periphery of the optical fiber core wire 22 is partially cut out of the peripheral wall 20, an introduction portion of the optical fiber core wire 10, and 24 protrudes inward from an upper end of the peripheral wall 20, a protrusion of the optical fiber core wire 10 It is a prevention piece. FIG. 2 shows a state where the extra connection length of one optical fiber core 10 of the connection part 12 is stored in the extra length storage tray 14, but the extra connection length of the other optical fiber core 10 is also stored in the same manner. Is done. When the connection portion and the connection length of the optical fiber are stored in the extra length storage tray, the optical fiber cores 10 are overlapped in the area where the connection length is stored and densely packed. A portion M occurs. Since the height of the densely filled portion M from the upper surface of the bottom plate 16 needs to be kept lower than the height of the peripheral wall 20, even if there is a demand to store as many optical fiber cores in the extra length storage tray as possible. The number of optical fiber cores that can be stored is substantially determined by the height of the dense portion M of optical fibers. Particularly, in the case of a tape-shaped optical fiber core, the densely packed portion M is bulky, so that even if there is an empty space in the storage area of the connecting portion, the number of accommodated cores is limited by the height of the densely packed portion M. Problems arise. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an optical fiber extra length storage tray capable of increasing the number of optical fiber cores to be stored as compared with the related art. [0005] In order to achieve this object, the present invention provides, on a bottom plate, an area for accommodating a connection portion of an optical fiber core and an area for accommodating an extra connection length of the optical fiber core. In the extra length storage tray provided with the above, an opening or a dent is formed in a portion of the bottom plate in the area for storing the extra connection length of the optical fiber core wire where the optical fiber core wire overlaps and is dense. Is what you do. Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described.
This will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention. FIG.
, The same parts as those in FIG. 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals.
The difference between the extra length storage tray 14 and the conventional one is that the bottom plate located in the area for storing the extra connection length of the optical fiber core wire.
An opening 26 is formed in a portion (portion corresponding to M in FIG. 2) of the optical fiber cores 16 which overlaps and is dense. When such an opening 26 is formed, the lower part of the densely packed portion sinks into the opening 26, and accordingly, it becomes possible to stack the optical fiber core to the height of the peripheral wall 20,
The number of stored optical fiber cores can be increased. Since the configuration other than the above is the same as the extra-length storage tray in FIG. 2, the same portions are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof will be omitted. In the above embodiment, the case where the opening 24 is formed in the bottom plate 16 has been described. However, a recess may be formed on the upper surface side of the bottom plate 16 instead of the opening 24 (the lower surface side of the bottom plate 16 is thinned). Almost the same effect can be obtained. As described above, according to the present invention,
Since an opening or a dent is formed in a portion of the bottom plate of the extra-length storage tray where the optical fiber cores are overlapped and dense, the lower part of the core dense portion can be sunk into the opening or the dent. The number of stored optical fiber cores can be increased.
