【従来の技術】従来、この種の管抱持具として以下の如
きものは知られている。中心線を前後方向に向けると共
に前後方向に渡るスリットを有する不完全な筒状をして
おり、外周面が前端側が小径となる円錐台状となされた
ものは知られている。

【従来技術の使用方法】以下に従来技術の使用方法を説
明する。中心線を前後方向に向けた管の後端部に、その
後方から雌ねじ部が後側に位置する状態で袋ナットを嵌
めた後、次いで、管の後端部に、その後方から前端部が
前方を向く状態で管抱持具を嵌める。その後、管継手に
管の後端部を挿入し、その後、袋ナット(押付具)を管
継手本体の雄ねじ部に強くねじ嵌める。この操作によっ
て、管抱持具は、袋ナットによりくさび作用により中心
側に押されると共に管と袋ナットとの間に閉じ込められ

【従来技術の欠点】前記従来の管抱持具には以下の如き
欠点があった。管抱持具の外周面が全体として円錐台の
外側面となっていたため、袋ナットの内周面との接触面
積が大きくなり、その結果、袋ナットと管抱持具との間
の摩擦抵抗が大きくなり、その摩擦抵抗の分だけ管抱持
具を中心側に押す力が弱まり、管抱持具により管を強固
に締め付けることが出来ないという欠点があった。

【前記欠点を解消するための手段】本発明は前記欠点を
解消するために以下の如き手段を採用した。請求項1の
発明は、中心線を前後方向に向けると共に前後方向に渡
るスリットを有する不完全な筒状の本体と、本体の外周
面に、長手方向を前後方向に向けるようにして設けられ
た少なくとも2本の突条とを有し、前記突条の、本体の
外周面に対向する外側面が、前方に向かって下り傾斜の
傾斜面となされると共に本体の中心線を中心線とする仮
想円錐台の外周面内に位置するようになされているもの
である。

【発明の効果】本発明は前記した如き構成によって以下
の如き効果を奏する。請求項1の発明によれば、突条を
袋ナットによって押して、管抱持具を締め付けるもので
あるから、即ち、袋ナットと管抱持具との接触面積が小
さくなり、その結果、袋ナットと管抱持具との摩擦抵抗
が小さくなるので、管抱持具により管を従来に比較して
強固に締め付けることが出来る。

【発明の実施の形態】以下に本発明の実施の形態を説明
する。なお、この説明において、前とは図1右側を、後
とは同図左側をいう。
【0008】管継手1は、前後方向に貫通する通路4を
有する金属製の本体3と、この本体3の後面に後方突出
状に連設された、外周面に雄ねじを有する管接続部6
と、前記本体3の前面に前方突出状に連設された、外周
面に雄ねじを有する筒状の雄ねじ部7と、雄ねじ部7の
内周面に形成された環状溝9に嵌められたOリング等か
らなるパッキン10と、雄ねじ部7にねじ嵌められる、
内周面の前側部が前方に向かってすぼまったテーパー面
13となされた袋ナット12と、テーパー面13に対向
するようにして、袋ナット12内に収納されたかたちの
可撓性を有する合成樹脂製等の管抱持具15とを有して
いる。
【0009】前記管抱持具15は、中心線17を前後方
向に向けると共に前後方向に渡るスリット18を有する
不完全な筒状の本体19と、本体19の外周面に、長手
方向を前後方向に向けるようにして設けられた少なくと
も2本、本実施の形態では8本の突条20と、本体19
の後端に設けられたフランジ21とを有している。な
