【請求項１】
配列番号：１で表されるアミノ酸配列または配列番号：７で表されるアミノ酸配列と同一もしくは実質的に同一のアミノ酸配列を含有するタンパク質またはその塩。

以下の（a）〜（d）からなる群から選択されるタンパク質またはその塩：
（a）配列番号：１で表されるアミノ酸配列を含有するタンパク質；
（b）配列番号：７で表されるアミノ酸配列を含有するタンパク質；
（c）配列番号：１で表されるアミノ酸配列と７５％以上の相同性を有するアミノ酸配列を含有し、かつエステラーゼ活性を有するタンパク質；および
（d）配列番号：７で表されるアミノ酸配列と７５％以上の相同性を有するアミノ酸配列を含有し、かつエステラーゼ活性を有するタンパク質。

配列番号：１で表されるアミノ酸配列を含有する請求項１または２記載のタンパク質またはその塩。

配列番号：７で表されるアミノ酸配列を含有する請求項１または２記載のタンパク質またはその塩。

配列番号：１２で表されるアミノ酸配列を含有する請求項１または２記載のタンパク質またはその塩。

請求項１〜８のいずれかに記載のタンパク質もしくは部分ペプチドまたはそれらの塩を含有する、請求項１〜８のいずれかに記載のタンパク質もしくは部分ペプチドまたはそれらの塩のエステラーゼ活性を促進または阻害する活性を有する化合物またはその塩のスクリーニング用キット。

請求項１９記載の抗体を含有する診断剤。

動脈硬化症、高脂血症、肥満症または糖尿病の診断剤である請求項２２記載の剤。

(1)
A protein containing an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 or an amino acid sequence identical or substantially identical to the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 7, or a salt thereof.
(2)
A protein or a salt thereof selected from the group consisting of the following (a) to (d):
(A) a protein containing the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 ;
(B) a protein containing the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 7 ;
(C) a protein containing an amino acid sequence having 75% or more homology with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 , and having an esterase activity; and
(D) a protein containing an amino acid sequence having 75% or more homology with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 7, and having an esterase activity .

3. The protein according to claim 1, which comprises the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1, or a salt thereof.
