Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaser welding method by which a laser head for irradiation with laser rays can be freely moved. SOLUTION: The laser rays are emitted to the joined part from the laser head 7. Then most of the laser rays are transmitted through a sheet 5 and a duct 3 and then absorbed by an instrument panel 2. Consequently, the instrument panel 2 is thermally melted and this molten part is joined to the duct 3.

樹脂部材同士、或いは樹脂部材以外の部材を接合する方
法に関する。

吸収する樹脂の一部を溶融せしめることで、樹脂部材同
士を接合する方法を提案した(特公平5−42336号
公報)。また、同公報では、樹脂部材を加熱する代わり
に樹脂部材間に介在せしめた接着剤をレーザ光で加熱す
ることで樹脂部材同士を接合する方法も提案した。

で、従来のような固定冶具を用いる必要がなくなり、レ
ーザヘッドの移動と干渉する部材をなくすことができ
る。

Claims (2)

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 レーザ光透過性を有する第1の樹脂部材
とレーザ光を吸収して加熱される第2の樹脂部材とを重
ね、これらをレーザ光透過性を有するシートで覆い、シ
ートと樹脂部材との間の空気を抜くことで第1の樹脂部
材と第2の樹脂部材とを固定し、次いで前記シート及び
第1の樹脂部材を通して接合部にレーザ光を照射し、該
接合部を溶融せしめて第1の樹脂部材と第2の樹脂部材
とを接合することを特徴とするレーザ溶接方法。
