In the discharge electrode of the above-mentioned wet type electrostatic precipitator, each spacer is used as a main energizing path. However, since the spacer is exposed to corrosive gas, high corrosion-resistant stainless steel must be used, which is expensive. Not only that, the properties vary from plant to plant, so that a great deal of labor is required to select corrosion resistant materials. If the spacer is corroded and the length is reduced, the upper and lower electrode support parts will be loosened and the conductivity will deteriorate,
Dust collection performance will be reduced.
