2. Description of the Related Art As a conventional hand shower with a water stopping mechanism as a water supply device, a primary flow path from a hose and a secondary flow path leading to a water discharge port are connected to a shower body connected to a faucet via a hose. A vertical hole that forms a water flow passage made of, and a horizontal hole that intersects the vertical hole is provided, and the columnar spindle that switches between a water discharge state that connects the two flow paths and a water stop state that shuts off both the flow paths is provided. The spindle is slidably inserted in a lateral hole, and the spindle has a notch around this axis, and the spindle is slid so that the notch communicates with the two flow paths in a water discharging state. In some cases, the outer peripheral surface of the spindle is slid so as to shut off the two flow paths in a water-stop state while being moved.

However, in the conventional hand shower with a water stopping mechanism having the above structure, the spindle is provided with a sealing surface portion capable of closing the downstream end of the primary flow path. In the case of the water state, the spindle is slid to close the downstream end port by the sealing surface portion. However, the operation of switching the water stop state and the water discharge state by sliding the spindle is repeatedly performed. As a result, the sealing surface portion is worn away, and there is a risk that the use of the sealing surface for a relatively short period of time will start to impair the sealing performance.

Further, since the frictional resistance between the sealing surface provided on the spindle and the wall surface forming the lateral hole is large, the sliding operation of the spindle for switching between the water stopping state and the water discharging state is performed. The required force increased, and the operability was poor.

That is, the present applicant provides a long tubular body having a valve body fixed at the downstream end and forming a supply flow path inside the housing of the grip by being urged in the downstream direction by a spring from the upstream side. A valve closing state in which the valve body contacts the valve seat, and a valve opening in which the cylinder moves in the opening direction against the urging force of the spring due to the pressing operation of the flow control lever, and the valve body separates from the valve seat. Although a watering nozzle configured to switch to the state is proposed (refer to the drawing and specification of Japanese Patent Application No. 11-336826), the cause is a pressing operation of the flow control lever, a movement of the cylinder, or a change in water pressure. Is applied to the O-rings provided at a plurality of locations between the housing and the cylinder,
The wear of the ring was so fast that the sealability could not be ensured for a long period. Further, when the water pressure changes greatly, the pressing operation of the flow control lever is hard, and the operation cannot be performed lightly only by the load of the spring.

That is, when the water-stop button 12 is pressed and the spindle 6 is in the water-stop state, the opening 8 ′ of the cylindrical body 8 is formed on the peripheral surface of the seal surface 15.
And the end face 10a of the cylindrical body 10 having the opening 10 'comes into contact with each other, and each end face 8a, 1
Since 0a has a curved shape that can be in close contact with the peripheral surface of the sealing surface 15, the openings 8 'and 10' are closed by the peripheral surface. Therefore, the hot and cold water sent from the faucet provided upstream of the shower main body 11 to the shower main body 11 reaches the inside of the cylindrical body 8 at the downstream end 1 a of the primary flow path 1. It is not hindered by the sealing surface portion 15 of the spindle 6 which comes into contact with the end face 8a, and does not go downstream therefrom. Incidentally, even if the hot and cold water from the faucet goes to the downstream side of the cylindrical body 8, the upstream end 2 a of the secondary side flow path 2 abutting on the peripheral surface of the sealing surface 15 of the spindle 6 will be described. Here, when water is being sent from the faucet to the hand shower and the spindle 6 of the hand shower is in the water stop position, the downstream side of the faucet, ie, the hand shower If the pressure on the side is too high, there is a risk that the hose H provided on the upstream side of the hand shower suddenly comes off from the faucet, which is very dangerous.
However, when the cylindrical body 28 having the above configuration is used, when the pressure on the hand shower side rises, water in the hand shower is discharged through the drain groove 29 so as to reduce the pressure. The liquid is discharged little by little from the water port 3. As a result, the above-described accident can be prevented from occurring, and the hand shower can be used safely.
