た。アルコール化合物を含有しない比較例3は、有効浸
炭層深さ及び工具摩耗量においては十分な評価が得られ
たが、加熱脱脂後の汚れにおいて少量の汚れがあった。
また、エステル化合物を含有しない比較例4は、有効浸
炭層深さ及び加熱脱脂後の汚れにおいては十分な評価が
得られたが、工具摩耗量において0.18mmであり、
切削性能が十分ではなかった。更に、カルシウム又は亜
鉛等を含有する比較例5及び6は、ともに切削性能にお
いては十分な評価が得られたが、加熱脱脂後の汚れがひ
どく、有効浸炭層深さにおいても規格値に達せず浸炭不
良であった。これに対して、塩素を含有しない実施例1
〜6は、有効浸炭層深さ0.41mm、工具摩耗量0.
14〜0.15mm、及び加熱脱脂後の汚れは無しと、
浸炭性、切削性及び汚れ付着性の全てにおいて優れた性
能を示し、従来の優れた切削性能等を有する比較例7の
塩素含有切削油剤と同等の性能を示すものであった。
