Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server rack capable of facilitating an attaching or detaching work of a partition wall member between adjacent rack units in a state in which a server is not removed from an existing server rack. SOLUTION: The server rack comprises a plurality of the rack units 1A and 1B aligned in a coupled state, the partition wall member arbitrarily settable between the adjacent units, and posts 4 and 5 of a rack body 2 for forming a framework of the rack and longitudinally provided between adjacent respective rack units. An insertion port 19 for horizontally inserting divided partition plates 18 for constituting the partition wall member is provided at the post 5. The rack further comprises guide members 24 and 25 for vertically moving the inserted plates 18. Thus, the partition wall members connected in a vertical state by the inserted plates 18 are sequentially formed.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a server rack in which a server such as a disk device for executing network system processing is built, and in particular, each rack unit is arranged in a continuous and adjacent state, and each rack unit is connected to the rack. The present invention relates to a structure in which, when a server is already housed, a partition member for ensuring security can be easily added between adjacent rack units.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, this kind of server is installed by a company or the like as a user in the company and performs daily management, and when repairing a failure or performing regular maintenance and inspection, an external expert is required. Many individual distributed management methods were used.

[0003] In this distributed management system, for example, it is difficult to predict a failure due to a self-management state on a daily basis. In particular, when a maintenance company is located far away or there is a shortage of technicians, a failure occurs. Cannot respond quickly in the event of a delay, forcing the company to delay or suspend operations for a long time.
There can be significant economic losses.

[0004] Against such a background, recently, a server service business employing a centralized management system for renting a server to a user such as a company and performing maintenance and management in a lump has been seen recently. A number of server racks are installed in a fully air-conditioned room, and rented servers are stored in each server rack, so that they are managed collectively.

[0005] According to this centralized management system, a user such as a company to which management is entrusted can use the server in a state where security is always ensured, and the entrusted service provider uses one technician. Deployed in a central location

However, in the centralized management system, each user's server is managed in a mixed state. Therefore, especially when users of different interests are mixed in,
Some users are concerned that their data stored in the disk device may be leaked, destroyed or tampered with by others, and the managing service provider will take security measures to ensure the security and reliability of the computer system. There is a need.

That is, this type of server rack has a structure in which adjacent rack units are connected to each other instead of an independent box shape in order to effectively use a limited installation space. In order to simplify the process and to reduce the cost, the partition member between the adjacent servers is omitted, so that there is no problem when the adjacent users are the same user, but when other people are used, the side surface is unprotected.

[0009] In particular, there are many cases where the rented users are replaced. In this case, the hardware of the server is used as it is, and only the software is replaced. In such a case, it is necessary to secure a security by newly installing a partition member.

When the partition member is installed, there is no extra space to perform the operation without removing the server, and it is difficult to remove the server from the server rack once, install the partition member, and then return the server to the server rack again. The server is not an appropriate method because it is heavy and it is not easy to put it in and out, and it is necessary to remove and connect the already connected connections, and the installed partition wall member is easy from the server rack side of another person In a structure that can be detached from a wall, there is no point in installing a partition member.

According to this server rack, the partition members can be easily installed between the desired rack units only by sequentially inserting each partition plate from the insertion opening, and even if the server is already housed, the server can be installed. Work can be performed without removal, and since it does not use screw means, it can be installed even in a narrow internal surplus space. After installation, it cannot be easily removed, contributing to security.

For example, when the partition plate 18 is too loosely fitted into the guide grooves 24, 25, and the inserted partition plate 18 suddenly falls freely or rattles after mounting, the adjusting member 26 is used. In the case where a frictional member made of a rubber material or the like is attached, and the fitting is too hard to slide easily, a slidable member made of a fluororesin material or the like can be attached as the adjusting member 26.
