However, such a fastener for retaining a hose as described above requires extra cost and labor in its manufacture and installation, and it is highly preferable that it not be used. In particular, the sprinkling hose is often used to be frequently attached to and detached from the faucet. Therefore, it would be extremely convenient if a method that could be easily and reliably attached and detached without using a fastener was developed.

When a ring-shaped ridge is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the hose joint, the outer peripheral surface of the hose joint must be tapered to make the outer surface of the hose joint taper, especially in the case of a hose having poor elasticity. Becomes difficult to fit. However, if the tapered surface is used, there is a disadvantage that the function of preventing the hose from being removed is impaired.

A hose joint A according to the present invention is attached to a cock 3 which is a main body of the main stopper E, on the gas outlet side.
As shown in FIG. 2, the hose joint A has a short tubular joint 1 as a main body, and a spiral ridge 2 for cutting into the inner wall surface of the hose C is provided on the outer peripheral surface thereof. I have.

The cross-sectional shape of the spiral ridge 2 is preferably formed in a saw-tooth shape with a vertical surface on the side to which the pulling force is applied, in order to enhance the action of stopping the hose C. The shape of the ridge of the spiral ridge 2 should be as sharp as possible as long as the inner wall surface of the hose C is not damaged.

The pitch and height of the spiral ridge 2 and the length of the area where the spiral ridge 2 is formed are based on the test results by trial and error, based on the outer diameter of the joint 1, the material of the hose C,

This optimum value means that once the hose C is inserted into the hose joint A, sudden external forces of the kind normally assumed, such as accidentally tripping on the hose C, as well as gas pressure, occur. Even if it is added, the minimum value is required in consideration of the safety factor so that the hose C never comes off the hose joint A.

That is, after fitting the end of the hose C to the tip of the joint 1, the hose C is fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the joint 1 while twisting the hose C. Then, the spiral ridge 2 provided on the outer peripheral surface of the joint 1 bites into the inner wall surface of the hose C having flexibility. When the end of the hose C reaches the end of the area where the spiral ridge 2 is formed, the connection work of the hose C is completed.

Considering the reason why the hose joint A having a very simple structure exhibits such a strong retaining function, as shown in FIG. It is assumed that the hose C has been pulled into the wall surface and a tensile force has been applied to pull the hose C out of the joint 1. In this case, the tensile force applied in the direction parallel to the hose C is partially
It is considered that the helical ridge 2 is deflected to the side as a component force in the twisting direction, and the tripping force is accordingly reduced.

As described above, the conventional joint in which a plurality of rows of ring-shaped ridges are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the joint has a tapered outer peripheral surface to facilitate pushing the hose into the joint as described above. It is formed in a tapered shape. Therefore, the smaller the outer diameter of the plurality of protrusions is near the tip of the joint, the weaker the locking force of the hose is.

On the other hand, the spiral ridge 2 provided on the joint 1 of the hose joint A can easily bite into the inner wall surface of the hose C with a small force as a characteristic of the spiral.
For this reason, the taper on the outer peripheral surface of the joint 1 may be kept very light or no taper may be provided at all. Therefore, a good hose locking force can be exhibited over the entire length of the spiral ridge 2.

As is clear from the above description, if the hose joint and the hose intermediate joint according to the present invention are used,
Practical superior effects as listed below can be obtained. (A) Unlike the conventional case, the hose can be reliably prevented from being pulled out simply by fitting it into the joint without using any kind of hose fasteners. (B) Since the fastener is not required, the manufacturing cost, installation and storage time can be reduced. (C) Do not force the hose into the fitting,
As it is screwed in, it can be easily fitted into the joint with less force. (D) If the hose is long, if an intermediate joint for a hose is interposed between the hoses, the entire hose does not need to be twisted, so that the connection work is not hindered. (E) If the hose intermediate joint has a "ball joint" -like structure, the joint can be bent to an arbitrary angle as required, so that the usability is further improved. (F) The hose coupling is extremely versatile, being attached to all types of equipment and piping systems that require hose connection.
