Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance of the mounted state of joint pieces by efficiently carrying out the work for brazing the joint pieces to top and bottom end segments of eyewires. SOLUTION: The outer peripheral parts of the upper and lower joint pieces 6 and 7 are provided with fitting grooves 15 and 16. The inside surface sides of both the joint pieces 6 and 7 are provided with recessed parts 23, so as to be recessed on the peripheries at the edges of the fitting grooves 15 and 16. A spacing 38 is formed by matching of the recessed parts 23 and 23 between the edges of the fitting grooves 15 and 16, in a state of the inside surfaces of both joint pieces 6 and 7 being abutted against each other. When the top and bottom end segments of the eyewires are fitted into the upper and lower fitting grooves 15 and 16 and are brazed, the flow of the brazing filler metal made into a molten state on the one fitting groove side is shut off by the spacing 38, so as not to move to the other fitting groove side. The spacing 38 is covered and hidden by the end segments 3 and 5 and will not be exposed, in a state with the end segments of the eyewires being fitted into the fitting grooves 15 and 16.

[0003] These connecting structures have basically the same configuration, and an upper joint piece b provided with a fitting groove a at an inner end portion thereof and a fitting piece continuous with the fitting groove a. A lower joint piece d having an insertion groove c at an inner end portion is integrally formed so as to be separable by a screw e, and a rim (in accordance with a lens form) is inserted into each of the insertion grooves a and c of the joint pieces b and d. The upper and lower end portions g and h of the annularly bent rim f are fitted and brazed.

[0004] This brazing is performed individually for each of the joint pieces b and d. After fitting the upper end portion g of the rim f into the fitting groove a of the upper joint piece b, the brazing is performed. A molten brazing material is flown between the fitting groove a and the end portion g to braze the upper joint piece b, while the lower end piece h of the rim f is inserted into the fitting groove c of the lower joint piece d. After fitting
A molten brazing material was flowed between the fitting groove c and the end portion h, and the lower joint piece d was brazed.

However, according to the above-mentioned conventional brazing method, there is a problem that the upper and lower joint pieces have to be individually brazed to the end portion of the rim, and there is a problem that the working efficiency is poor. Not only that, the fitting between the fitting groove and the end of the rim may not be performed accurately.

That is, as shown in an enlarged view in FIG. 31, for example, the end j of the rim f slightly protrudes from the ends of the fitting grooves a and c of the joint piece b or the joint piece d. There was a problem of producing good products. By holding the lens on such a defective rim, the upper and lower joint pieces b,
If d was screwed and integrated with the screw e, the ends of the rim would not match each other, so that excessive stress would be applied to the lens, and the lens would easily break.

[0007] For this reason, when jointed by screwing, it is necessary to braze both joint pieces b and d so that the ends of the rim match each other correctly, but such brazing work is difficult. It was expensive. For this reason, the work of brazing the joint piece to the end of the rim requires a great deal of caution and much labor, resulting in poor productivity, inevitability of defective products, and increased costs. It was.

Such a problem can be solved by fitting both ends g and h of the rim into the upper and lower fitting grooves a and c in a state where the upper and lower joint pieces b and d are integrated and brazing. It wasn't that I couldn't think of it. However, in the case of brazing in this manner, the molten brazing material flows into the abutting portions k and m of the joint pieces b and d and between the rim ends n and p, so that the joint pieces and the rim ends cannot be separated. It could not be adopted due to some problems.

In order to solve such a problem, it is conceivable that a gap is formed between the upper and lower fitting grooves and the flow of the molten brazing material is blocked by the gap. For example, in the drawing of JP-A-59-202432, there is described a connecting tool r provided with a gap q between upper and lower fitting grooves as shown in FIGS. However, when the upper and lower end portions g and h of the rim are fitted into the fitting grooves s and t of the connecting tool r and brazed, respectively, the joint pieces b and d are more likely to be connected by the flow of the molten brazing material. Also, the risk of brazing between the rim ends n and p can be avoided. However, the upper and lower joint pieces b and d are only in surface contact with their portions u and v, and between the joint pieces b and d, as shown in FIG. A gap q having a large vertical distance is also formed on a side portion deviating from the gap q.

Therefore, when the upper and lower ends of the rim are connected by using the connecting tool having such a configuration, even if it is possible to braze the rim ends in a state of being abutted, FIG.
As shown in (1), there is a problem that the gap q1 on the front side and the gap q2 on the side are conspicuous and the appearance of the connection portion at the rim end is poor.

In addition, the fact that the gap q1 on the front side and the gap q2 on the side are conspicuous as described above is due to the fact that there is no problem with the brazing strength of the upper and lower joint pieces. Because of this, the screws may be loosened and give an impression as if they are structurally defective, and there is also a problem that the commercial value of the glasses is reduced.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the upper and lower joint pieces 6, 7 and the lip 10a are integrated to bring the fitting grooves 15, 16 into a communicating state, and then the upper and lower end portions 3, 5 of the rim are vertically fitted. It is fitted into the grooves 15 and 16 and brazed. For this purpose, for example, as shown in FIG. 4, thin brazing materials 41, 41 having a required area are attached to the groove bottoms 27, 27 of both fitting grooves 15, 16 by means such as spot welding. Thereafter, the upper and lower end portions 3, 5 of the rim are fitted into the upper and lower fitting grooves 15, 16, and in this state, the fitting groove portions are heated as required to melt the brazing materials 41, 41. The upper and lower joint pieces 6 and 7 are brazed to the upper and lower end portions 3 and 5 of the rim by turning the joint 42 between the outer surface of the end portion of the rim and the inner surface of the fitting groove (FIG. 3). When brazing in this manner, the flow of the brazing material in a molten state on one of the fitting grooves is blocked by the gap 38,
Since it does not move to the other fitting groove side, there is no danger that the upper and lower joint pieces 6, 7 and the upper and lower ends 43, 43 of the rim will be brazed. The amount of the brazing material to be applied is set so that the brazing can be reliably performed by the molten brazing material, and the flow of the brazing material is reliably blocked at the gap 38.

In this brazed state, the upper and lower joint pieces 6, 7 can be opened by removing the screw 11. And the left and right tips 25 of the recess 23,
25 are left and right ends 26, 26 of the fitting grooves 15, 15;
Since the end portions 3 and 5 of the rim are brazed by the fitting grooves 15 and 15 because the grooves 38 and 27 are retracted from the groove bottoms 27 and 27 side, as shown in FIG. Since it is completely covered and hidden by the side surfaces 45, 45, 46 and 46 of the end portions 3 and 5 and is not exposed on the front side or the side surface, there is no possibility that the aesthetic appearance of the brazed portion is impaired.

The present invention has the following excellent effects. (1) When using the rim end connector according to the present invention, when brazing the joint pieces to each of the upper and lower end portions of the rim, the rim is inserted into the upper and lower fitting grooves in a state where both joint pieces are integrated. The upper and lower ends can be fitted and brazed at once. At this time, since the flow of the brazing material can be interrupted by the gap formed between the two joint pieces, the joint pieces and the ends of the rim are securely soldered without causing a problem that they cannot be separated from each other by brazing. It can be brazed. From the above, according to the present invention, the work of brazing the joint pieces can be performed easily and efficiently, so that it is possible to improve productivity and reduce costs.

(2) Insufficient brazing as in the case where the joint pieces are individually brazed to the ends of the rim (as shown in FIG. 31, the end j of the rim is moved from the end of the fitting groove to the end of the fitting groove). Defects such as slightly protruding)
The end of the rim can be accurately brazed to the joint piece.

(3) When the end portion of the rim is fitted in the fitting groove, the gap is covered with the end portion, and the gap is exposed on both the front side and the side. Therefore, the attachment of the joint piece to the end portion of the rim can be performed with good appearance. Moreover, because the gap is not exposed,
As in the above-described conventional structure, there is no danger of giving an impression that the product is structurally defective, and it is possible to prevent a decrease in commercial value due to the exposure of the gap and to provide high value-added glasses. .

(5) In particular, by positioning the left and right ends of the recessed portion substantially at the center of the left and right portions of the edge of the fitting groove or at a position near the front end,
Since the length of the fitting groove along the edge can be sufficient at the left and right portions of the edge, the flow of the brazing material in the gap can be more reliably blocked.
