等の薄型要求により薄いCRTソケットが要求され、例
えば図4に示すようにCRTソケットと接続するCRT
ネック部先端のステムベース20のバリアー13の一部
を切り欠きCRTとプリント配線基盤の距離を短くする
ためにCRTソケットを薄型にすると高電圧が印加され
るフォーカス用端子と隣接する低電圧の信号用端子との
絶縁距離が短くなる。その一方でテレビセット等の高性
能化が要求される中でさらにフォーカス印加電圧がアッ
プする傾向にある。従って従来技術のようにCRTと係
合するソケットの頂面部に陥没面を設けた壁だけでは高
電圧のフォーカスコンタクト孔周囲の当該壁の上端と低
電圧の信号コンタクト孔の周囲の当該壁の上端が略水平
の位置にあるので絶縁性が不十分となってきた。
