2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a VVF for connecting another 2-core or 3-core VVF cable to a 2-core or 3-core VVF cable.
A cable connector is known, for example, from Japanese Patent No. 2913000 previously filed by the present applicant. Such a connector has two fitting grooves for receiving a VVF cable, and a metal contact is pressed into the VVF cable inserted into each of the fitting grooves from the outer skin without peeling the inner and outer skins. Thus, the connection between the same-polarity core wires is attempted.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION The jelly-like waterproof material 53 is adapted to be pressed against from the outside according to the shape of a pressed object.
Here, a jelly-like or gel-like substance having physical properties that can be freely deformed along the shape of the electric wire but does not flow and deform in a natural state is used. As this material, for example, silicon jelly is one of the preferable materials, but polymer jelly of styrene and ethylene is easy to mold and easy to adjust the hardness from the viewpoint of price, and is harmless under the Food Sanitation Law. It is suitable because it can be insert-molded and can be co-extruded.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG.
First, an example of a VVF cable connector A to which the waterproof cover of the present invention is used will be described below with reference to FIGS. Reference numeral 1 indicates a contact formed in a substantially inverted U-shape in side view by press-forming a brass plate rich in electrical conductivity. Each substantially parallel piece 1 of this contact 1
a, 1a, the cuts of the insulating sheath 31 and the insulating endothelium 32 of the two-core VVF cable 3, 3 'to be connected are cut, and two notches 11, which are inserted into and contact one of the core wires 33, 33 in each cable. 11 are formed at a predetermined interval D, and a recess 12 is provided at an intermediate portion for separating the cuts 11. The cut portions 11 are slightly inclined upward so as to be pressed in a direction to separate a core wire to be connected from another core wire in the cable when pushed into each cable. The contact 1 has an insulating resin plate 14 adhered to the upper surface of the connection bottom portion 12.

As shown in FIG. 12, the widths of the fitting grooves 21 and 22 are substantially the same as the widths W of the two VVF cables 3 and 3 'in the wide direction, respectively. The width is such that it can be inserted without a gap, and the facing width of the fitting grooves 21, 21, 22, 22 in the folded posture in which the two main body components 2 a, 2 b are fitted (the depth of the two fitting grooves facing each other). Sum) is approximately the same as the width w of the narrow side of each of the cables 3 and 3 ', and is formed to a width that allows the cables to be sandwiched without gaps. The space between these two fitting grooves 21 and 22, that is, the space E between the center lines is formed to be substantially equal to the space between the two cut portions 11 and 11 of the contact 1, that is, the space D between the center lines. I have. Further, as shown in FIG. 9, two insertion holes 23 for inserting the contact 1 are provided.
The contact 1 has a shape conforming to the plane shape, and is formed in a size suitable for inserting and temporarily holding the lower half of the contact 1. The two insertion holes 23 are formed so as to be shifted from each other in the width direction of the fitting groove by an interval of a horizontal pitch between two core wires in each cable.

The waterproof cover according to the present invention covers the connector A thus assembled in a more water-tight manner. FIGS. 1 to 3 show a first embodiment. In this embodiment, the waterproof cover of the present invention is provided with a housing recess 51 for housing the main body of the connector A at the center, and an outlet for taking out the electric cable 3, 3 ′ extending from the connector A at both ends. It is formed by two synthetic resin cover members 50, 50 having substantially the same shape and having a half shape and having 52. The two cover members 50, 50 are formed in a substantially quadrangular shape in a plan view, and are integrally formed so as to be folded back via a hinge portion 54 so that they can be closely fitted with the storage recesses 51, 51 facing each other. ing. Further, in the folded position, the engagement claws 55 provided on the one cover structure 50 are formed so as to engage with the engagement holes 56 of the other cover structure 50 so that the fitting posture can be maintained. In this embodiment, it is configured such that the screws 57 can be further firmly connected in this fitting posture. However, the screws 57 may be omitted if the watertightness is sufficient by the connection between the engagement claws 55 and the engagement holes 56.

Further, in each of the outlets 52, a jelly-like waterproof material 53 having flexibility and deformability that can be freely changed in form is arranged and formed. The jelly-like or gel-like waterproof material 53 can be freely deformed along the shape of the electric wire when pressed from the outside, but a material having physical properties that does not flow and deform in a natural state without external pressure is used.
As this material, for example, as described above, a polymer jelly of styrene and ethylene is preferable. In this embodiment,
A structure is shown in which a container-like base 58 made of a thin soft rubber or a soft resin is filled with the waterproof material 53 and attached to the outlet 52. As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, for example, the base 58 and the waterproof material 53 have a lower half formed of a rubber member base 58 and an upper half formed of a jelly-like waterproof material 53.
Or a form formed only of the jelly-like waterproof material 53 without using the base 58. Also, two cover components 50,
A thin waterproof packing 59 made of rubber or the like is interposed at the joining end face of the joint 50.

FIGS. 7 and 8 show another embodiment of the waterproof cover according to the present invention. The waterproof cover has a recess 51 for accommodating the main body of the connector A at the center, and the connector is provided at both ends. A cylindrical cover member 50 ′ made of synthetic resin having outlets 52, 52 for taking out the electric cables 3, 3 ′ extended from A, and an upper surface opening of the cover member 50 ′ is watertight. The cover 60 is formed by a cover 60 which is closed. The lid 60 is screwed to the cover component 50 'with screws 61 and 62. A jelly-like waterproof material 53 whose shape can be freely changed in the same manner as in the first embodiment is provided at each of the outlets 52, 52 with a container-like base 58.
Is filled. Reference numeral 63 denotes an O-ring shaped rubber packing. According to this embodiment, the connector body A and the VVF cables 3, 3 'can be sandwiched from above and below to stably pack them by screwing the lid body 60 to the cover constituting body 50', and the watertightness inside can be reduced. Can be held to a high degree. Also in this embodiment, the waterproof material 53 is shown as being housed in the container base 58, but the waterproof material 53 is bonded to the cable outlets 52, 52 without the base 58. Needless to say, it can be implemented as a product.

Although the embodiments which are considered to be representative of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not necessarily limited only to these embodiments and modifications. For example, the two cover components 50, 50 described in the first embodiment may be formed separately from each other and connected by screws or the like. Further, one of the two half-structured cover members 50, 50 referred to in the first embodiment is formed in a deep container shape, and the other is formed in a shallow container shape or a substantially flat cover shape. You may. In addition, the present invention has the constituent features, achieves the object of the present invention, and can be appropriately modified and implemented within a range having the following effects. Further, one or both of the cover components may be formed of a transparent material so that the state of the content connector can be visually recognized from the outside.

Since the present invention is constructed as described above, it is possible to completely seal the connector body portion and the extension root portion of the electric cable extending from the connector body, and to secure a high watertightness. It can be achieved by a simple operation of fitting the connector into the cover structure and putting the other cover structure or lid on, so that the work on site can be done easily and quickly, without requiring advanced watertight technology. It has the effect that it can be used for
