Description: TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to bleaching compositions, in particular hypochlorites (hypochlorites) suitable for use in washing applications, such as hand and machine washing methods. It relates to a bleaching composition. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Bleaching compositions are known in the art. Among the various bleaching compositions available, those relying on bleaching with hypohalite bleach, such as hypochlorite, are often preferred mainly for performance reasons, especially at cold temperatures. However, a problem encountered with the use of hypochlorite-based compositions is the resulting yellowing of the bleached fabric. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a hypohalite-containing composition suitable for use in laundry applications, which results in improved fiber whiteness for the fibers treated thereby. To fulfill such demands, pH buffering components such as silicates have been incorporated into hypochlorite compositions. A general disclosure can be found in EP-A-0,653,483. Accordingly, Applicants have found that providing an anionic surfactant to a hypohalite bleaching composition containing a pH buffering component has improved fiber whiteness as compared to the same without anionic surfactant. Surprisingly found here. Another advantage of the composition of the present invention is that it is chemically stable. By "chemically stable" it is meant that the hypohalite bleaching composition of the present invention should not cause more than 15 percent loss of available chlorine after storage at 50 ° C ± 0.5 ° C for 5 days. The percent loss of available chlorine is determined, for example, using the method described in "La chembre syndicale nationale de L'eau de Javel et des produits connexes", p. 9-10 (1984), "Analyses des Eaux et Extraits de Javel". Can be measured. The method consists in measuring available chlorine in a fresh composition, i.e. immediately after manufacture, and in the same composition after 5 days at 50C. Still other advantages of the compositions of the present invention include natural fibers (e.g., fibers made from cotton, viscose, linen, silk, or wool), synthetic fibers, e.g., those made from polymeric fibers of synthetic origin. It is suitable for bleaching various types of fibers, including those made from both natural and synthetic fibers. Indeed, the compositions of the present invention are suitable for use with hypohalite bleaches, especially hypochlorite bleaches, in synthetic fibers, as indicated by precautionary statements on commercial hypochlorite bleaches and fabric labels. Can be used in synthetic fibers in spite of the prejudice. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention provides a liquid or solid bleaching composition comprising:-a hypohalite bleach-a pH buffer component in an amount of 0.5% to 9% by weight; and-an effective amount of an anionic surfactant. It is. The present invention also encompasses the use of anionic surfactants in the hypohalite bleaching composition to provide improved fiber brightness to the fibers treated thereby. The present invention also provides a method for bleaching fibers with a composition comprising:-a hypohalite bleach-a pH buffer component in an amount of 0.5% to 9% by weight; and-an effective amount of an anionic surfactant. Wherein the fibers are immersed in a bleaching solution formed by diluting the bleaching composition in water. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Hypohalite bleach An essential component of the present invention is a hypohalite bleach. Hypohalide bleaches can be provided by a variety of sources, including oxidizing bleaches, which in turn cause bleaching to form positive halide ions, and organic-based sources of halides such as chloroisocyanurate. Source bleach. Hypohalite bleaches suitable for use herein include alkali and alkaline earth metal hypochlorites, hypobromite, hypoiodite, chlorinated trisodium phosphate dodecahydrate, potassium and sodium dichloroisocyanurate, potassium and sodium trichloroate. Includes cyanurate, N-chloroimide, N-chloroamide, N-chloroamine and chlorohydantoin. For liquid compositions, the preferred hypohalite bleach among the above is an alkali metal and / or alkaline earth metal hypochlorite selected from sodium, potassium, magnesium, lithium and calcium hypochlorite and mixtures thereof; More preferred is alkali metal sodium hypochlorite. For solid compositions, preferred hypohalite bleach among the above are lithium hypochlorite, calcium hypochlorite, chlorinated trisodium phosphate dodecahydrate, potassium dichloroisocyanurate, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, potassium trichlorocyanurate, sodium trichloro An alkali metal and / or alkaline earth metal hypochlorite selected from the group consisting of cyanurate and mixtures thereof, more preferably sodium dichloroisocyanurate and / or calcium hypochlorite. Preferably, the liquid composition according to the invention comprises from 0.1% to 20%, more preferably from 2% to 8%, most preferably 3% by weight of the active halide in the composition or the composition. To 6% by weight of the hypohalite bleach. Preferably, the solid composition according to the present invention comprises the hypohalite bleach such that the content of active halide in the composition is from 20% to 95%, more preferably from 25% to 60% by weight of the composition. Including. pH Buffer Component The pH buffer component is another essential component for the compositions of the present invention. The pH buffer component is such that after the composition has been diluted in water from 1 to 500 times its weight, the pH of the composition is 7.5 to 13, preferably 8 to 12, more preferably 8.5 to 11. Ensure buffering to a pH value in the range of 5. Suitable pH buffering components for use herein are those selected from the group consisting of carbonates, polycarbonates, sesquicarbonates, silicates, polysilicates, borates, metaborates, phosphates, stannates, alkali metal salts of aluminates and mixtures thereof. And preferably selected from the group consisting of sodium carbonate, sodium silicate, sodium borate and mixtures thereof. The raw materials associated with the production of hypohalite bleach usually contain by-products, such as calcium carbonate, in the hypohalite composition in amounts up to 0.4% by weight. However, at such amounts, the by-product has no buffering action as defined above. The liquid bleaching composition herein has a pH of from 0.5% to 9%, preferably from 0.5% to 5%, more preferably from 0.6% to 3% by weight of the composition. It may contain a buffer component. The solid bleaching compositions herein may contain a pH buffer component in an amount of from 3% to 30%, preferably from 5% to 25%, more preferably from 10% to 20% by weight of the composition. . Anionic surfactant Another essential component of the present invention is an anionic surfactant. Anionic surfactants have been widely described in the art, and suitable anionic surfactants for use herein are alkyls of 4 to 24, preferably 8 to 18, most preferably 8 to 16 carbon atoms. Alkyl benzene sulphonate, alkyl sulphate alkyl ethoxy sulphate or alkyl ethoxy carboxylate having a chain. The counterion for the anionic function is usually selected from alkali metals, most preferably sodium. In the context of the present invention, anionic surfactants usually comprise from 0.1% to 10%, preferably from 0.1% to 5%, most preferably from 0.3% to 10% by weight of the total composition. Used at a level of 3% by weight. An effective amount of an anionic surfactant can improve whiteness for fibers treated with a bleaching composition comprising an anionic surfactant. The whitening effect of the invention, i.e. the anti-yellowing effect, is evaluated visually or by instrument grading by comparing the composition according to the invention with the same composition without anionic surfactant. be able to. Visually, the yellowing differences between items treated with the various compositions can be determined by a team of expert panelists. As a measuring device, a Ganz Griesser (trade name) measuring device (for example, Datacolor (trade name) Spectraflash (trade name) SF500, Machbet White-eye (trade name) or (for example, ZEISS ELREPHO (trade name) or, for example, It can be measured with the aid of a colorimeter, such as Hunterlab® or others available from Gardener® Of course, mixtures of various anionic surfactants are suitable for use herein. In particular, when liquid, certain anionic surfactants for use herein may be slightly soluble in the hypochlorite matrix herein. Alkylbenzenesulfonates, which may therefore require the use of co-surfactants and / or hydrotropes.Such suitable co-surfactants include alkyl groups having 4 to 12 carbon atoms. A in the chain It includes alkyl sulfates or alkyl ethoxy sulfates or alkyl ethoxyl carboxylates having from 6 to 24 carbon atoms in the alkyl chain, such as Akyposoft 100 NV from Chemy or Sandosan LN CS from Sandoz C8. Alkyl sulfates and C12-14 alkyl ethoxycarboxylates having 10 ethoxylations in the molecule are preferred.Suitable hydrotropes are, for example, sodium cumene sulfonate and xylene sulfonate. And / or the hydrotrope should be used in the amounts required to solubilize the anionic surfactants that require them Generally, when co-surfactants are used, the liquid compositions of the present invention The product comprises an anionic surfactant and a co-surfactant and / or Is prepared in a process in which the hydrotrope is first mixed to form a premix, which is then mixed with the rest of the separately prepared composition. Solid forms include forms such as powders, tablets and granules.Preferably, the compositions of the present invention are in liquid aqueous form, more preferably, they are all aqueous liquids. Water is included in an amount of 60% to 98%, more preferably 80% to 97%, most preferably 85% to 97% by weight of the bleaching composition. pH The pH of the liquid composition according to the invention is itself usually from 12 to 14, measured at 25 ° C. The solid or liquid composition of the present invention, when diluted in 1 to 500 times its weight in water, has a viscosity of 7.5 to 13, more preferably 8 to 12, and most preferably 8.5 to 11.5. PH. It is within this alkaline range that the optimum stability and performance of hypohalite and fiber whiteness and / or protection are obtained. The pH range is suitably provided by the aforementioned pH buffer component, which is alkaline, and hypohalite bleach. However, in addition to these components, a strong source of alkalinity can also optionally be used. Suitable alkalinity sources are caustic, such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and / or lithium hydroxide, and / or alkali metal oxides, such as sodium and / or potassium oxide. A strong source of suitable alkalinity is caustic, more preferably sodium hydroxide and / or potassium hydroxide. Typical levels of such caustic, when present, are from 0.1% to 1.5%, preferably from 0.5% to 1.5%, by weight of the composition. The composition according to the invention may further comprise optional ingredients such as fragrances, bleach-stable surfactants, organic or inorganic alkalis, pigments, dyes, optical brighteners, solvents, chelating agents, radical scavengers and mixtures thereof. obtain. Preferably, the compositions of the present invention are used in diluted form in laundry applications. The expression "used in diluted form" herein includes dilution by the user, which occurs, for example, in hand-washing applications, but also by other means, such as in a washing machine. Preferably, the composition is diluted to 5 to 500 times its weight in water for hand washing applications and 10 to 500 times its weight in a washing machine. Accordingly, another aspect of the present invention provides a method of bleaching a fiber with a composition as disclosed herein, wherein the fiber is immersed in a bleaching solution formed by diluting the composition in water. Is done. In yet another aspect of the present invention, there is provided the use of a LAS in a hypohalite bleaching composition to provide improved brightness to fibers treated thereby. In this embodiment, the composition preferably includes, but is not mandatory, a pH buffering component. The present invention is illustrated in the following non-limiting examples, in which all percentages are by weight unless otherwise stated. EXAMPLES The following compositions of the present invention are prepared.
