Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.通信システムにおいて送信レートを決定する装置であって: ノイズ抑制システムに入力される信号における背景ノイズを抑制するノイズ抑 制システムであって、該背景ノイズの抑制に関連するパラメータを発生する、ノ イズ抑制システム;および 入力として、前記ノイズ抑制システムが発生する前記パラメータを有し、音声 コーダによって使用するための送信レート情報を発生するレート決定手段; から成ることを特徴とする装置。 2.前記ノイズ抑制システムは、実質的に、IS−127において規定されてい る、ノイズ抑制システムであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。 3.前記ノイズ抑制システムによって発生するパラメータは、突発的に増大した 背景ノイズによって、前記ノイズ抑制システムが背景ノイズを誤って分類した場 合に、該ノイズ抑制システムを回復させる制御信号を含むことを特徴とする請求 項1記載の装置。 4.通信システムにおいて送信レートを決定する装置であ って: 現情報フレームにおけるチャネル・エネルギを推定する手段; 入力として前記推定チャネル・エネルギを有し、前記現情報フレームに対する 推定チャネル・エネルギと複数の過去の情報フレームのエネルギとの差を判定し 、現フレームに対する全チャネル・エネルギ推定値を生成する手段; 前記現情報フレームの信号対ノイズ比の推定値に基づいて、ボイス・メトリッ クを決定する手段; 前記推定チャネル・エネルギに基づいて、全推定ノイズ・エネルギを生成する 手段; 現フレームに対する前記全チャネル・エネルギ推定値,前記ボイス・メトリッ クおよび前記全推定ノイズ・エネルギに基づいて、前記情報フレームの送信レー トを決定する手段; から成ることを特徴とする装置。 5.入力として、前記現情報フレームに対する全チャネル・エネルギ推定値,前 記現情報フレームのピーク対平均比率,前記現フレームと過去のフレームとの間 のスペクトル偏差および前記ボイス・メトリックを有し、所定の種類の信号が存 在する場合に、ノイズ推定値を更新するのを防止する制御信号を生成する手段を 更に備えることを特徴とする請求項4記載の装置。 6.前記制御信号は、階調信号が存在する場合に、ノイズ推定値を更新するのを 防止することを特徴とする請求項5記載の装置。 7.所定の種類の信号が存在する場合にノイズ推定値を更新するのを防止する前 記制御信号は、前記通信システムを検査する目的のために、正弦波を最高レート で送信させることを特徴とする請求項5記載の装置。 8.通信システムにおいて情報フレームに対する送信レートを決定する方法であ って: 現情報フレームのピーク信号対ノイズ比から、第1ボイス・メトリック・スレ シホルドを決定する段階; ボイス・メトリックを前記第1ボイス・メトリック・スレシホルドと比較する 段階; 前記ボイス・メトリックが前記第1ボイス・メトリック・スレシホルド未満で ある場合、前記情報フレームを第1レートで送信する段階; 前記ボイス・メトリックが前記第1ボイス・メトリック・スレシホルドよりも 大きい場合、前記ボイス・メトリックを第2ボイス・メトリック・スレシホルド と比較する段階; 前記ボイス・メトリックが前記第2ボイス・メトリック ・スレシホルド未満である場合、前記情報フレームを第2レートで送信する段階 ;および 前記ボイス・メトリックが前記第2ボイス・メトリック・スレシホルドよりも 大きい場合、前記情報フレームを第3レートで送信する段階; から成ることを特徴とする方法。 9.前記第1レートは1/8レートであり、前記第2レートは1/2レートであ り、前記第3レートは、IS−95において規定されている、符号分割多元接続 (CDMA)通信システムにおける最大レートであることを特徴とする請求項8 記載の方法。 10.前記第1レートは、無音記述(SID)フレームを備え、前記第2および 第3レートは、時分割多元接続(TDMA)通信システムにおける通常レートの フレームであることを特徴とする請求項8記載の方法。
