This gasket can be, for example, the head gasket of an internal combustion engine, in which case the holes correspond to the cylinder positions of the engine. It is common practice to insert a metal sheet sealing member into the hole to form a seal around the hole through the sheet gasket. The sheet metal sealing member extends around the hole and is C-shaped in cross section, with the sheet received between "arms" in that cross section. When the gasket is tightened in place, the sealing member resiliently resists and forms a seal around the hole. However, if the sealing member is crushed beyond a certain limit, its resilience is lost and it cannot function as required. Therefore, it is common practice to provide such gaskets with a compression limiting stopper in order to prevent over-compression of the sealing member. Such a compression limiting stopper can be formed by folding the edge of the metal sheet of the gasket or by placing the metal on the sheet surface close to the sealing member. However, in each case, the compression limiting stopper is spaced from the sealing member, thus reducing its effectiveness. For example, in an industrial gasket for sealing between pipe end flanges, a sealing member is formed in the shape of a tube formed as a closed loop, and the tube shape gives elasticity when a force is applied. Doing so is well known. The tube extends around the passage and, in some cases, has an outer or inner metal collar associated with the tube to form a compression limiting stop. In one form of the industrial gasket proposed in GB 1,437,052, the loop is formed by a helical spring having a metal sheet cover with a C-shaped cross section. This specification discloses that a compression limiting stopper is included in the spring. It is an object of the present invention to provide a gasket having an improved sealing member and incorporating a compression limiting stopper. The invention relates to a gasket comprising at least one sheet having at least one through-hole defining an internal passage, and also comprising a sealing member formed of a metal sheet attached to said sheet. Includes a tube-shaped portion extending as a closed loop around the perimeter of the hole, and wherein the gasket also includes a compression limiting stopper included in the tube. The sheet of the gasket according to the invention can be a single sheet of plastic material with resilient sealing beads on opposite sides. Alternatively, the sheet can be made of a multilayer structure, for example a metal core having several layers made of sheet metal or a resilient layer on opposite sides. In the case of a multilayer structure, the sealing member can be attached to any of the aforementioned layers. The gasket may be a head gasket of an internal combustion engine. In this the gasket has an opening for the cylinder and several openings for the sealing member associated with each opening. In some cases, the sealing members for some or all of the openings may be formed of the same piece of metal sheet. In the gasket according to the invention, the sealing member is in the form of a tube which increases resilience, and the compression limiting stopper is located at the maximum effective position, that is, at the position of the sealing line. The compression limiting stopper can be formed as a closed loop in the tube. The stopper can be made of a hard material such as metal, for example steel. Preferably, the stopper is formed of a metal wire. Alternatively, however, the stopper can be formed from a deformable but incompressible material. The compression of the tube is such that such a stopper completely fills the space in the tube and prevents further compression by the stopper material. The tube may be substantially circular or oval in cross section or partially circular or oval. The compression limiting stop may have a substantially circular, oval or square cross section. The circular stopper, d is the stopper diameter, wall thickness of t is the tube wall, the outer transverse distance h 0 traverses the tube when not compressed, and if h 1 is the outer transverse distance across the tube during compression , D values are constrained by the values that would completely fill the tube cavity at the time of the compressed wall thickness. This is given by: That is, d 2 ≦ h 1 (2h 0 −h 1 ) + 4t (t−h 0 ) When the gasket is a gasket for an automobile, the width d of the stopper is typically set to 0.1. The wall thickness t of the tube wall is typically in the range of 0.15 to 0.3 mm. Outer transverse distance h 0 across the tube at the maximum width position when uncompressed is suitably 1.6~3.2Mm, outer transverse distance h 1 at the time of compression is typically 0. The range is 5 to 2.0 mm. T is a preferred range for use in automotive gaskets below, illustrate some of h 0, h 1 and d values. First gasket: t = 0.15 mm, h 0 = 1.6 mm, h 1 = 0.8 mm, d = 1.0 mm Second gasket: t = 0.20 mm, h 0 = 2.4 mm, h 1 = 1 0.2 mm, d = 1.6 mm Third gasket: t = 0.30 mm, h 0 = 3.2 mm, h 1 = 2.0 mm, d = 2.3 mm The sealing member is also at least for attaching it to the seat. Preferably, it includes one flange. For example, the sealing member may include one or two flanges extending radially outward of the tube. This flange can be embedded and secured in the gasket sheet, for example by the sheet being mode molded in plastic material around one or more flanges. Alternatively, one or more flanges can be clipped over the edges of the sheet. The flanges can be secured together to form a complete tube, for example by welding or embedding in a plastic material. The present invention also provides a method for manufacturing a gasket according to the present invention, the method comprising performing a bending operation on a sheet metal piece to form the tube around the stopper. The stopper is positioned on the piece before or during the bending. In the method according to the invention, the metal sheet piece of sheet metal can be an annular portion of the sheet surrounding the hole or another annular piece or cylindrical tube made of metal. Thus, the bending comprises forming an embossed ridge through the metal sheet annular piece extending around the hole therethrough, and the piece bounded by the ridge around the compression limiting stopper. Bends to contact the tops of the ridges. The method further includes forming a further embossment on the piece of metal sheet, wherein the further elevation extends around the hole at a location closer to the first elevation, and wherein the bending comprises two elevations. Is performed such that the tops of. Alternatively, if the piece of metal sheet is a cylindrical tube, the bending operation requires bending both ends of the tube outward to form a sealing member around the stopper. The tube is completed by a welding operation or other method that secures the area that is bent to contact so that it does not move from its respective position. A detailed description is given below to read, with reference to the accompanying drawings, six gaskets illustrating the invention and two ways of illustrating the invention in the concept of a method. In the drawings, FIGS. 1 to 6 are cross-sectional views through a part of the first to sixth illustrated gaskets, respectively; FIGS. 7a to 7c are cross-sectional views illustrating steps in a first illustrated method; 8a to 8c are cross-sectional views showing steps in the second illustrated method. FIG. 1 shows a first illustrative gasket 10 comprising a sheet 12 formed of a plastic material. The sheet 12 is provided with a hole 14 which defines a passage through the gasket 10. In particular, gasket 10 is the head gasket of an internal combustion engine, and hole 14 corresponds to the location of the engine cylinder. FIG. 1 shows only a portion of the gasket 10 at one end of the hole 14. It should be understood that gasket 10 incorporates a plurality of holes 14 corresponding to engine cylinders, and other holes corresponding to refrigerant passages, oil passages, and bolt holes as normally provided in head gaskets. That's what we are incorporating. Further, gasket 10 incorporates a resilient bead (not shown) that is mounted on the surface of sheet 12 and seals around other holes through the gasket. Gasket 10 also includes a sealing member 16 that forms a hole seal around hole 14. The sealing member 16 is formed of a metal sheet, particularly a steel sheet having a thickness of 0.2 mm. The sealing member 16 comprises a portion in the form of a tube 16a of circular cross section. This tube 16a extends around the periphery of the hole 14 as a closed loop. The sealing member 16 also comprises two flanges 16b, 16c, which are formed integrally with the tube 16a and extend in a plane parallel to each other and away from the tube 16a in a plane coinciding with the plane of the sheet 12. Exist. The flanges 16b and 16c are welded to each other at the position of reference numeral 18. The sealing member 16 is attached to the sheet 12 by embedding flanges 16b and 16c at the edge of the sheet 12 surrounding the hole 14 and at the edge of the sheet 12 surrounding the hole 14. Gasket 10 also comprises a compression limiting stopper 20 in the form of a metal wire housed within tube 16a in the form of a closed loop. The wire forming this stopper has a circular cross-sectional shape. 7a to 7c show how the first illustrated gasket 10 is manufactured by the first illustrated method. The first illustrative method starts with a piece of sheet metal in the shape of a cylindrical metal tube 22, as shown in FIG. 7a. This method performs a bend on tube 22 to form tube 16a around stopper 20. First, in a first illustrated method, the bottom end of the tube 22 is bent outwardly to form an outwardly projecting radial flange 16b, which half forms an upwardly open groove 24. A circular portion 22a joins the undeformed top of tube 22 (portion 22a is adapted to form a half of tube 16a). This bending is performed under continuous process steps using suitable tools. Next, in the first illustrated method, the stopper 20 is arranged in the groove 24. Further bending is performed on the upper end of the tube 22, a radial flange 16c bent outward and projecting outward, and a semi-circular portion that cooperates with the portion 22a to form the tube 16a that receives the stopper 20. Is formed. The flanges 16b, 16c are then welded together at 18 to complete the sealing member 16. This welding can be continuous or intermittent around the tube 16a. Next, in a first illustrated method, the sealing member 16 and similar sealing members associated with the other cylinder bores of the gasket 10 are molded so that they are in the correct relative positions occupied by the members in the finished gasket 10 1. Combined in a mold. The plastic material is then injected into the mold wrapping the flanges 16b, 16c but not the tubing 16a, thereby forming a sheet 12 having holes 14 in which the tubing 16a extends around the periphery. The second illustrated gasket 30 shown in FIG. 2 is the same as the first illustrated gasket 10 except for the portions described below, and the same portions are denoted by the same reference numerals and will not be further described. The sealing member 16 of the gasket 30 has a tube 16a having an oval cross section and is elongated in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the gasket 30. The cross-sectional shape of the compression limiting stopper 20 of the gasket 30 is also elongated in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the gasket 30. The stopper 20 has a substantially rectangular cross section having curved upper and lower end surfaces. The second illustrated gasket 30 is manufactured by modifying the first illustrated method in that the shape of the portion 22a and the portion completing the tube 16a are semi-oval. The third illustrated gasket 40 shown in FIG. 3 is the same as the first illustrated gasket 10 except for the portions described below, and the same portions are denoted by the same reference numerals and will not be further described. The cross-sectional shape of the compression limiting stopper 20 of the gasket 40 is oval and elongated in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the gasket 40. The third illustrated gasket 40 is manufactured by the first illustrated method. A fourth illustrative gasket 50 shown in FIG. 4 comprises a sheet 52 formed of a plastic material. The sheet 52 is formed with a through hole 54 that defines a passage through the gasket 50. In particular, gasket 50 is the head gasket of an internal combustion engine and hole 54 corresponds to the location of the engine cylinder. FIG. 4 shows a portion of the gasket 50 at one edge of the hole 54. The gasket 50 incorporates a resilient bead (not shown) which is mounted on the surface of the sheet 52 to form a seal around another hole through the gasket. The gasket 50 also comprises a metal plate and a sealing member 56 made of, in particular, 0.15 mm thick steel. The sealing member 56 includes a portion in the shape of a tube 56a, which extends around the periphery of the hole 54 as a closed loop. Tube 56a has a cross-sectional shape defined by an arc and straight portions at opposite ends of the arc, the straight portions being aligned at 58 and welded together at that point to complete tube 56a. . One of the straight portions extends in a straight line beyond the point 58 and forms an annular flange 56 b projecting radially outward of the hole 54. The other straight portion is bent away from flange 56b before being bent to form flange 56c extending parallel to but spaced from flange 56b. The sealing member 56 is attached to the seat 52 by the flanges 56b and 56c being clip-engaged on the edge of the seat 52. Gasket 50 is also manufactured in the second illustrated method shown in FIGS. 8a-8c. The second illustrated method begins with an annular piece 62 of metal sheet (not shown in the undeformed state). A second illustrative method comprises bending a piece 62 to form a tube 56 a around a stopper 60. The bending includes forming an embossed ridge 64 that extends around a hole through the piece 62 (shown in FIG. 8a). The bulge 64 is formed on the outer peripheral edge portion of the piece 62, has a shape corresponding to the shape of the straight portion of the tube 56a, and is folded back to form a flange 58c. Next, the portion of the piece 62 bounded by the ridge 64 is bent upward to form a cylindrical tube 66 (shown in FIG. 8b). This results in a groove 68 having a partially circular cross section between the tube 66 and the ridge 64. Next, in a second illustrated method, the stopper 60 is disposed in the groove 68 and the tube 66 is bent outward to cover the groove 68 to complete the tube 56a and contact the top of the ridge 64. A flange 56b is formed (at a position 58). The top of the ridge 64 is then welded to the flange 56b. The fifth illustrated gasket 70 is similar to the fourth illustrated gasket 50, except that both flanges 56b, 56c are formed by the portions that are turned back after being contacted at 58. The fifth illustrated gasket 70 is such that the second embossed ridge is formed more centrally of the piece 62 than the ridge 64 and the bending process causes the tops of the two ridges to contact at 58. Manufactured by changing the illustration method. The sixth illustrated gasket 80 shown in FIG. 6 is similar to that shown in FIG. 6, except that no welding is performed at location 58 and the tubular portions 56a are held together by a sheet of plastic material 52 having embedded flanges 56b, 56c. Same as gasket 70.
