It is widely used as a material for containing dyes, detergents, fertilizers, cosmetics, sanitary products, and the like. Such packaging materials have the advantages that they are directly poured into an aqueous medium to decompose or dissolve the packaging material to obtain a solution, or the packaging material that has been opened at the time of use is directly poured into water and discarded. Since the water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol-based film has a hygroscopic property, the surface often becomes tacky at the time of high humidity, and the films tend to be blocked, and also, at the time of low humidity, cracks easily occur, In addition, it has a drawback that the resistance to bending is generally weak.

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-27139 proposes that a water-soluble film is embossed so as to have good dispersibility and solubility in water and to improve blocking resistance. Although there is a description that the uneven shape is formed, there is no specific suggestion about the embossing. Usually, when embossing a film, it is performed by passing the film between an embossing roll (1) and a backup roll (2), and such a backup roll is made of a fiber or rubber. Used.

In such a case, there is a problem that the contents leak out or leak out, so that further improvement is desired.

When embossing is performed, the roll surface hardness of the backup roll (2) is A50 ° to A95 ° (JIS K6301).
It has been found that a method for embossing a water-soluble film using a backup roll, which is a value based on a measurement method according to (1), meets the above-mentioned object, and has completed the present invention.

The water-soluble resin as a raw material of the water-soluble film of the present invention is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include various resin materials of synthetic or natural derivatives such as polyvinyl alcohol-based resins, carboxymethyl celluloses, polyethylene oxides, and pullulans. Among them, a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin is particularly preferable.

Furthermore, 80 to 98 mol% is preferable. If the saponification degree is less than 70 mol%, the strength of the film tends to be poor, which is not preferable. The average degree of polymerization is preferably 300 to 4000, more preferably 500 to 3000, and the average degree of polymerization is 300.
If it is less than 3,000, the strength of the film is inferior.

In the present invention, the biggest feature is to use a backup roll having a roll surface hardness of A50 ° to A95 °, and a more preferable roll surface hardness is A55 ° to A95 °.
A95 °, particularly preferably A60 ° to A90 °. If the roll surface hardness is less than A50 °, a sufficient apparent film thickness cannot be obtained, and if the roll surface hardness exceeds A95 °, a sufficient embossed pattern cannot be transferred although an apparent film thickness can be obtained.

The roll (2) has a roll surface hardness of A50 ° to A95 °.
(Value based on a measurement method according to JIS K6301)
It is possible to obtain a water-soluble film having no pinholes and good embossed appearance with good apparent film thickness by using the backup roll, and the obtained water-soluble film is used for pesticides, drugs, and dyes. It is very useful as a packaging material for detergents, fertilizers, cosmetics, sanitary products, etc., especially for liquid packaging.
