2. Description of the Related Art A printer, such as an ink jet printer or a thermal head printer, for performing printing by reciprocating a print head is usually set at the top of a personal computer rack. When the printer is installed on the installation surface of a printer that performs printing, the print head vibrates at a high speed and vibrates reciprocally, causing the vibration of the printer to vibrate the entire PC rack and display the monitor screen under it. Not only does it make it difficult to see, or it hinders input operations with a keyboard or mouse, but there is also the danger that the operator may become dizzy, especially when the vibration is severe.

[0003] Therefore, it has been studied to interpose a plate-like anti-vibration rubber or the like between the installation surface and the lower surface of the printer to absorb vibrations during the operation of the printer so as not to be transmitted to the installation surface. I have. However, the anti-vibration rubber has its lower surface fixed to the installation surface and the upper surface to the lower surface of the printer by the frictional force of the rubber surface, and the thin rubber layer between the upper and lower surfaces repeats elastic deformation and restoration. Therefore, the amount of vibration that can be absorbed is limited, and at present, the vibration of the printer cannot be sufficiently absorbed.

[0004] Increasing the thickness of the anti-vibration rubber or softening the rubber can increase the amount of vibration that can be absorbed. In this case, however, the printer itself tilts due to uneven sinking due to weight, or In addition to the vibration in the moving direction of the print head as well as the vertical movement in the sinking direction, there is a possibility that a new problem such as that the vibration of the printer becomes more complicated.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a novel method that can reliably absorb vibrations during printer operation so as not to be transmitted to a printer installation surface such as a personal computer rack without using anti-vibration rubber that may cause such various problems. Another object of the present invention is to provide a vibration absorbing device for a printer.

Means for Solving the Problems and Effects of the Invention In order to solve the above problems, a vibration absorbing device for a printer according to the present invention is interposed between an installation surface on which a printer is installed and a lower surface of the printer. Rollers are provided between the two surfaces in accordance with the vibration during operation, so that a roller-shaped member for absorbing the vibration so as not to be transmitted to the installation surface is provided. In the present invention, by the relatively free rolling of the roller member between the installation surface and the lower surface of the printer, it is possible to reliably absorb the vibration during the operation of the printer so as not to be transmitted to the installation surface. it can.

As shown in FIG. 1 (b), each roller-shaped member 10 is formed in a columnar or cylindrical shape having an elliptical cross section. In the normal state in which the printer Pr is stopped, the roller-shaped member 10 has the minor axis A of the ellipse in the vertical direction and the major axis B in the horizontal direction as shown in FIGS. 1 (a), 1 (b) and 2 (a). , The center of gravity is the lowest, but when the printer Pr operates and generates vibrations, it rolls relatively freely as shown by solid arrows in FIGS. 2B and 2C. The vibration is reliably absorbed so as not to be transmitted to the installation surface Sp.

Further, when the printer Pr moves in the direction indicated by the white arrow in FIG. 2B due to the above-mentioned vibration, and the roller member 10 rolls in the direction indicated by the solid arrow in FIG. As a result, the force for lowering the center of gravity of these members 10 and the printer Pr placed thereon is increased, as indicated by the black arrow in the drawing, and the roller 10 has the same force. This serves to suppress further rolling in the direction and pull back the printer Pr in the direction opposite to the white arrow.

The same applies when the printer Pr moves in the opposite direction as indicated by the white arrow in FIG. 2C, and when the roller-shaped member 10 rolls in the direction indicated by the solid arrow in the figure. ,
As a result of the center of gravity of the roller-shaped member 10 and the printer Pr placed thereon being increased, the force for lowering the center of gravity of these members indicated by black arrows in the figure increases, and The further rolling in the same direction is suppressed, and the printer P
It acts to pull r back in the direction opposite to the white arrow.

For this reason, the above-mentioned roller-shaped member 1 having an elliptical cross section is used.
According to 0, the vibration of the printer Pr can be attenuated. Further, when the vibration due to the operation of the printer Pr occurs as described above, or when the installation surface Sp is inclined, the roller-shaped member 10 rolls in one direction without limitation, and the printer Pr is mounted on the installation surface Sp. It is also prevented from dropping from. Although the dimensions of each part of the roller-shaped member 10 are not particularly limited, the ratio B / A of the major axis B to the minor axis A of the ellipse is 1.
It is preferably about 1 to 1.2, particularly about 1.2.

When the ratio B / A is less than the above range, the cross-section of the roller-shaped member 10 approaches an ellipse and approaches a circle. As a result, the vibration of the printer Pr of the roller-shaped member 10 having the elliptical cross-section described above is attenuated. The effect of preventing unrestricted rolling in one direction may be insufficient. Conversely, when the ratio B / A exceeds the above range, when the roller-shaped member 10 rolls and the center of gravity increases, the rate of increase in the force for lowering the center of gravity increases. There is a possibility that the effect of absorbing the vibration of the printer Pr may be insufficient because the rolling amount of the state member 10 is suppressed.

The axial length L of the roller member 10
In consideration of the workability when finely adjusting the position of the roller-shaped member 10 after the printer Pr is mounted thereon, the direction perpendicular to the vibration direction of the printer Pr,
That is, it is usually preferable that the length is set to be longer than the size of the printer Pr in the front-rear direction so that both ends thereof slightly protrude before and after the printer Pr. Next, another example of the printer vibration absorbing device including the roller-shaped member 11 shown in FIGS. 3 (a) and 3 (b) will be described.

The roller-shaped member 11 in the illustrated example is formed in a columnar or cylindrical shape having a circular cross section, and its center of gravity Cg is eccentric from the center Cc of the circle.
a, two projections 11b, 11b protruding from the center Cc of the circle on the opposite side to the center of gravity Cg. In order to make the center of gravity of the roller main body 11a eccentric as described above, a weight may be disposed at an eccentric position in the roller main body 11a formed of, for example, a synthetic resin or a metal in a cylindrical or cylindrical shape. In the case of the cylindrical roller main body 11a, the wall thickness of the cylinder may be partially increased.

When the printer Pr is mounted on the roller body 11a, the protrusions 11b and 11b
As shown in FIG. 4 (a), in order not to interfere with the rolling of the roller-shaped member 11 for absorbing vibration, the roller Pr is in front of the front edge of the printer Pr and not shown in FIG. It is arranged so as to protrude beyond the trailing edge of the printer Pr. In the normal state where the printer Pr is stopped, the roller-shaped member 10 has a protrusion 11 as shown in FIGS. 3 (a) (b) and 4 (a).
Although the center of gravity Cg is in the lowest state with b and 11b facing upward, when the printer Pr is activated and vibration occurs, it is relatively high as shown by solid arrows in FIGS. 4B and 4C. It rolls freely and reliably absorbs the vibration so as not to be transmitted to the installation surface Sp.

Further, when the printer Pr moves in the direction indicated by the white arrow in FIG. 4B due to the above-described vibration, and the roller-shaped member 11 rolls in the direction indicated by the solid arrow in FIG.
As the center of gravity Cg of the roller-shaped member 11 and the center of gravity of the printer Pr mounted thereon are increased, the force for lowering the center of gravity of these members is increased as indicated by the black arrow in the figure, This serves to suppress further rolling of the roller-shaped member 11 in the same direction and to pull the printer Pr back in the direction opposite to the white arrow.

The same applies when the printer Pr moves in the opposite direction as indicated by the white arrow in FIG. 4C, and when the roller-shaped member 11 rolls in the direction indicated by the solid arrow in the figure. ,
As the center of gravity Cg of the roller-shaped member 11 and the center of gravity of the printer Pr mounted thereon become higher, the force for lowering the center of gravity of these members indicated by black arrows in the figure increases, and This serves to suppress further rolling of the member 11 in the same direction and to return the printer Pr in the direction opposite to the white arrow.

Therefore, the vibration of the printer Pr can be attenuated by the above-described roller-shaped member 11 as in the above-described example. Further, when the vibration due to the operation of the printer Pr occurs as described above, or when the installation surface Sp is inclined, the roller-shaped member 11 attempts to roll in one direction without limitation, as shown in FIG. As shown in (b), since the projection 11b abuts on the installation surface Sp to restrict further rolling, it is possible to prevent the printer Pr from dropping from the installation surface Sp.

In the case where legs, rubber stoppers and the like for installation on the installation surface Sp protrude from the lower surface of the printer Pr, and there is a possibility that the roller-shaped members 10 and 11 cannot be rolled well, FIG. (a) As shown in (b), between the roller-shaped members 10 and 11 and the printer Pr, the lower surface is a flat surface suitable for rolling of the roller-shaped members 10 and 11, The printer installation base 12 may be interposed.
