However, in the conventional method of cleaning the oil pan of a passenger conveyor, in a passenger conveyor such as a moving road, a distance between a movement locus of a front wheel shaft for moving a pallet and an oil pan is about 200 mm or less. And the oil pan length is as long as about 27m to 77m, so the dust collected by the cleaning brush becomes clogged in the middle of the oil pan, and the cleaning tool cannot be moved smoothly or effectively. However, if the dust is severely clogged, the cleaning tool may not move in the middle of the oil pan. Further, since the upper surface of the oil pan is not visible due to a large number of endlessly connected pallets, the cleaning condition of the upper surface of the oil pan by the cleaning tool cannot be sufficiently confirmed.
