を沈子綱の心索とするものがある。しかし、これも引っ
張り力やこすれによって鉛材を連結した繊維から鉛材が
ばらばらに剥脱して散逸してしまうという問題点があ
る。鉛は鉛中毒の原因となる有毒・有害物質であり、捕
獲した魚の体内から飲み込んだと思われる鉛材が発見さ
れた例もあり、鉛材が散逸することは環境汚染を引き起
こし大きな問題である。更に、塩化ビニルで被覆した沈
子綱を焼却した場合には、猛毒物質であるダイオキシン
が発生するとされており、この点でも環境保全の面から
問題がある。また、ロープを製作する過程において、ボ
ビンに巻いてある数珠状の糸入り鉛線を引き出したり、
より合わせる際に、鉛材と繊維との太さに極端な差があ
るために、数珠状の糸入り鉛線が相互に絡み付くことに
より、円滑な製作に支障を生じるという問題点がある。
