2. Description of the Related Art For example, in order to send water to a washing machine via a hose, a water tap connected to the hose has a valve for adjusting water discharge and water stoppage when the washing machine is used. It is often used in a state, and in such a case, the amount of water used in the washing machine is adjusted by a changeover switch or the like on the washing machine side. Therefore, if a child removes the hose from the faucet, a large amount of water is discharged from the discharge port of the faucet, and there is a risk that a water leak accident may occur downstairs. Therefore, in order to prevent the above-mentioned accidents and the like beforehand, a faucet joint having a function of automatically stopping the discharge of water when the connected hose is disconnected has been devised.

As a conventional faucet coupling as described above, for example, there is one as shown in FIG. That is, in the joint body 29, a valve seat 30, a valve body 31 that can abut on the valve seat 30 from the upstream side, an elastic member 32 for urging the valve body 31 downstream, and an elastic member 32 And a holding member 33 for holding the upstream portion of the above. When the joint body 29 is connected to the joint member 34 provided at the upstream end of a secondary hose (not shown), the push member 35 provided in the joint member 34 is connected to the valve body 31. To the upstream side, and the valve element 31 is separated from the valve seat 30, so that water can flow through the valve seat 30, and in a state where the joint member 34 is removed, the valve element 31 in the joint body 29 is Because of the contact with the valve seat 30, water cannot flow through the valve seat 30. The faucet coupling having such a configuration automatically stops the discharge of water even when the connected hose is accidentally disconnected when the valve of the upstream faucet is open. It will have a function.

On the other hand, when the joint member 18 is in the initial state, the sliding member 22 is located at the most upstream position of the slidable range.
It is located just outside the locking portion 19. In this state,
The protrusion 26 urges the lock ball 25 to the inside of the joint member 18, and the lock ball 2 urged in this manner

The joint member 18 in the initial state as described above
When the sliding member 22 is slid to the downstream side, the joint member 18 can be attached to the joint body 1. That is, when the sliding member 22 is slid to the downstream side, the protruding portion 26 located just outside the locking portion 19 moves downstream from this position, and the recessed portion 27 It will be located just outside. In this state, the lock ball 25 can be retracted from the inner wall of the joint member 18 to the concave portion 27, and the joint body 1 is connected to the joint member 1.

The joint member 18 in the above-mentioned state where it can enter is
When the stop valve 4 is externally fitted to the joint main body 1, the downstream end 14 of the stop valve 4 first comes into contact with the small-diameter portion 21 provided on the inner wall downstream of the joint member 18 from the upstream side. And
When the joint member 18 is further inserted deeper into the joint main body 1, the small-diameter portion 21 urges the downstream end portion 14 toward the upstream side, and this urging is larger than the urging toward the downstream side by the elastic member 5. Then, the stop valve 4 slides upstream. In the state where the stop valve 4 slides to the upstream side in this way, the seal member 13 of the valve body 3 which has been in contact with the valve seat 10 is separated from the valve seat 10, and the valve seat 10 The water can be distributed. The distance from the upstream surface of the downstream end portion 14 to the downstream end of the joint body 1 is determined by the valve body 3
The valve seat 10 is set so that it can be sufficiently opened.

On the other hand, when the joint member 18 is inserted into the joint body 1 as much as possible, the locking portion 19 is located just outside the lock groove 7. Then, when the sliding member 22 that has been slid to the downstream side is subjected to the bias of the spring 23, the sliding member 22 returns to the initial position, and the lock ball 25 is again moved by the projecting portion 26 to the joint member 1.
8. The lock ball 25 thus urged comes into contact with the lock groove 7 of the joint body 1, whereby the joint member 18 is locked so as not to come off from the faucet joint D.

It is necessary to release the lock by the lock ball 25 and the lock groove 7, and the lock can be released by sliding the sliding member 22 to the downstream side. That is, when the sliding member 22 is slid downstream,
The lock ball 25 can be retracted into the recess 27 of the sliding member 22, and the lock groove 7 is formed by the lock ball 25.
Is released, and the lock is released. The above unlocking operation can be performed with one hand.

The water faucet joint D having the above-described construction cannot pass water through the valve seat 10 when the joint member 18 is not connected, and the valve seat 1 only when the joint member 18 is connected.
0 allows water to flow. Therefore, when the faucet (not shown) on the upstream side of the faucet joint D is open,
Even if the joint member 18 is accidentally detached from the faucet joint D due to mischief of a child or the like, water is not discharged from the faucet joint D, and a water leak accident or the like can be prevented.

The faucet joint D having the above-described structure is effective when used for a faucet which is often used with a valve such as a faucet to which a hose for a washing machine is connected open. However, the present invention is not limited to such a use, and can be used for all faucets that make a so-called socket connection.
