As described above, the support frame 5 does not swing further to the front side of the ladder forming portion 1 with reference to the vertical member 2 because the wall portion 14 is formed on the front side of the support frame 5. When the support frame 5 is at a fixed position with respect to the mounting frame 4, the rear side surface 16 of the wall portion 14 contacts the front side surface 15 of the vertical member 2, and the front side of the ladder forming portion 1 of the support frame 5 is further extended This is because swinging to the side is prevented. In addition, the stopper pin 10 may be lost if it is pulled out during use.
It is desirable that the support frame 5 be attached to an arbitrary position of the stepladder so as not to be detachable.
Not limited to the stopper pin 10 used in the present embodiment, for example, although not shown, a pin that appears and disappears by the urging force of a coil spring is provided on the mounting frame side, and the pin is inserted into a through hole provided on the support frame side. May be configured to engage with each other, and the configuration is not particularly limited.

As shown in FIG. 4, the mounting frame 4 is provided with a plurality of adjusting holes 7 spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction. However, a screw hole having the same diameter as the adjusting hole 7 is provided, and a screw 17 is screwed into each of the overlapping holes 7 so that the screw hole and the adjusting hole 7 coincide with each other. It is possible to adjust the height of the lower end of the ladder forming portion 1 from the vertical member 2 in multiple stages.

By forming the stepladder of the present embodiment as described above, the stepladder can be used in the following procedure. For example, when the main stepladder is installed on an inclined ground, first, the stopper pin 10 is removed from the through holes 12 and 13 which coincide with each other, and the support frame 5 can be freely swung from the vertical member 2. Next, the support frame 5 is rocked from the mounting frame 4 to the rear side of the ladder forming portion 1 to be bent, and the bent lower end surface 20 of the support frame 5 in the bent state is grounded toward the floor surface 19 of the sloping ground. ,
Further, the fixed hook 18 attached to the one ladder forming part 1 is hooked on the other ladder forming part 1 while the lower end surface 20 of the support frame 5 which is bent in the middle is kept in contact with the floor 19,
While the distance between the ladder forming parts 1 and 1 is fixed, and the swing angle between the mounting frame 4 and the support frame 5 is gradually changed as needed, the stepladder is vertically adjusted from the floor surface 19 of the sloping ground. I will do it. As a result, as shown in FIG. 5, the stepladder is supported from the floor surface 19 of the sloping ground in a state in which the entire lower end surface 20 of the support frame 5 is grounded, so that the stepladder is installed on an unstable sloping ground. At the same time, the floor 1 of the sloping ground is kept in a state with a more secure feeling than the conventional stepladder.
9 can be installed. The bent lower end surface 20 of the support frame 5 is desirably formed as an uneven surface because it serves as a ground contact surface with the floor surface 19.

Although the stepladder of the present invention can sufficiently secure the work even if the structure is used as it is, for example, when the condition of the sloping ground is a relatively gentle slope that is not enough to bend the support frame 5. Depending on the length of the support frame 5 formed in the height direction, the stepladder can be erected in the vertical state as described above by placing the bent lower end surface 20 of the support frame 5 on the floor surface 19. With the ground screw being grounded, the adjustment hole 7 into which the thumbscrew 10 is screwed is changed to another adjustment hole 7 so as to match the screw hole, and the thumbscrew 17 is screwed into the adjustment hole 7 to form a slope having a gentle slope. However, the support frame 5 can be finely adjusted downward in multiple steps from the initial height position, and the stepladder can be flexibly supported even on a slope having a gentle slope. It can be erected vertically. On the contrary, the floor surface 1 is more than the bent position of the support frame 5.
Even on a steep slope 9, the support frame 5 can be erected vertically sufficiently by making fine adjustments to the upper side. The stepladder of the present invention can be used without problems on floors having steps such as stairs, in addition to the sloped land shown in the above embodiment.

According to the present invention, the present invention can be used not only in a flat place but also in a place having a step such as a slope or a stair.
Since the stepladder can be installed on the floor in a much more stable state than conventional stepladders of this type, the work on the stepladder can be performed safely, and it is usually unstable and dangerous on slopes and steps. The work in a place where there is no danger can be performed more safely while maintaining the stability equal to or better than that of a flat place.
