An electrophotographic photosensitive member and a conductive member that is disposed in contact with the electrophotographic photosensitive member and to which a voltage is applied,

The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a support, a charge generation layer and a charge transport layer in this order, and the charge transport layer has a thickness of 12 to 40 μm;
A process cartridge, wherein the conductive member has a coating layer on a conductive support, and the time constant τ of current of the conductive member is 0.1 second or less. 2. The process cartridge according to claim 1, wherein the thickness of the charge transport layer is 12 to 23 [mu] m. 3. The process cartridge according to claim 1, wherein the time constant τ is 0.05 seconds or less. The process cartridge according to claim 10, wherein said surface layer has a resistance of 10 ⁴ to 10 ¹⁵ [Omega] cm. The process cartridge according to claim 5 wherein the layer on the elastic layer is a resistive layer and a surface layer. The resistive layer has a resistance of 10 ⁴ to 10 ¹² [Omega] cm, the process cartridge according to claim 12, wherein said surface layer has a resistance of 10 ⁴ ~10 ¹⁵ Ωcm.
