Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast button wherein a metal material can be partially fitted into the button of a synthetic resin or the like, on the surface of which patterns of natural materials can be formed, to form a variety of patterns such as pattern, letter, initial, mark, etc., on the surface thereof, and moreover deviation of the location of the metal material can be avoided. SOLUTION: In a mold wherein a core is set in a rubber mold to allow a molten metal to flow thereinto, a projection or a recess is provided at an unnoticeable location in the core, while a projection or recess are provided on the surface of the rubber mold so that each projection or recess in the core corresponds with each recess or projection on the rubber mold, respectively, whereby the core are prevented from moving in the mold against the pressure of the flow of the metal so that the molten metal flows into a gap between the mold and the desired design connected to the core.

2. Description of the Related Art Investigation of conventional patents and utility models believed to be related to the present invention revealed that no button like the present invention was made. First, the shape of the button body is described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No.
1804 and actual open flat type 7-3314, but the configuration and structure are completely different from those of the button of the present invention. The whole of the button body is wrapped in a decorative member.
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H8-10010 discloses a method of wrapping a peripheral portion of a button body with a decorative member and caulking it, but these are completely different in configuration and structure from the button of the present invention. In Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 52-33362, a synthetic resin is filled from the back side into a frame composed of a peripheral frame portion and a surface frame portion having punch-through portions in various patterns, and solidified. This is also completely different from the button of the present invention in the manufacturing method and the configuration.

[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Nos. Sho 59-1477307 and Japanese Patent Publication No. Hei 7-39237 disclose at least two of the three members, for example, a decorative member and a synthetic resin member, which are first placed in a rubber mold. After that, the remaining members are poured with molten metal to complete the button shape, and the manufacturing method is completely different from the present invention. In the latter, a main body made of resin or the like is placed in a molding die, a low-melting-point metal is poured into a groove of a pattern forming portion formed in advance in the main body, and filled like insert molding to form a pattern similar to an inlaid pattern. No measures are taken to prevent displacement of the core to be inserted in the present invention, and in the present invention, unlike the patent, the pattern formed by the molten metal is not limited to the inlay, but may be, for example, a button surface. This is a revolutionary design that can be designed to cover most of the items, and can be applied to the formation of initials, characters, marks, and the like. Furthermore, in the present invention, for example, unsaturated polyester is suitable as the material of the core, and this button is capable of producing various patterns imitating natural materials such as animal horns, trees, bamboo, leather, stones, etc. In fact, it is very useful as a general button material, and is widely used.
Therefore, an exquisite design is created by balancing the surface pattern of the unsaturated polyester button with the form of the molten metal. In this respect, the present invention is completely different from these patents in terms of the gist and configuration.

As described above, the button of the present invention has not been distributed on the market. Therefore, a metal material is partially fitted into a button such as a synthetic resin whose surface can form a pattern such as a natural material, and various patterns, characters, initials,
An object of the present invention is to provide a cast-in button that forms a mark or the like and does not cause a displacement of a metal material.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a button according to the present invention is provided by providing a concave female mold on one of a pair of rubber molds and inserting a core made of synthetic resin or the like into this. A design portion for forming a desired design is formed on the front side of the button, and a misregistration preventing concave portion is provided on the back surface. The other rubber mold has a core support, which is usually designed to surround the entire periphery of the core with metal. While the core has been displaced by the rotational centrifugal force during molding, the cast-in button of the present invention has a design in which the core supporting portion surrounds the entire periphery of the core with metal. Even during molding, there is no displacement of the core in the rubber mold. Then, when both the rubber molds are combined and molten metal is flowed and cast, the metal is molded on the design portion of the button surface to form a button in which the core and the metal are integrated.

The synthetic resin material cast into the cast-in button of the present invention is an unsaturated polyester resin having good heat resistance. Due to the manufacturing method, it imitates natural materials such as animal horns, trees, bamboo, leather, stones and the like. It is the best from the viewpoint that various patterns can be formed. The metal material is preferably a solder alloy made of tin, lead or the like suitable for flowing into a rubber mold and casting.
