と対向する封止極を備え、表面に現像剤を担持しつつ搬
送して現像領域にて像担持体に形成された像の現像に供
する現像剤担持体とからなる現像装置において、前記現
像槽に、現像主極と封止極の間の現像剤担持体表面と像
担持体表面とで規定される現像領域上部空間から現像槽
の内部空間に連通する通路を形成し、現像領域上部空間
で発生する粉煙トナーを現像槽内に回収するようにした
ことを特徴とする現像装置。1.
