A cutting unit having a reciprocally movable processing head device on a slide table, wherein the processing head device is provided with a spindle shaft that is rotationally driven via a gear train, wherein the cutting unit is disposed on the spindle shaft. A first link member rotatably supporting an idle gear that meshes with the spindle gear, a first link member rotatably supporting the idle gear, and a drive-side gear that meshes with the idle gear. A second link member connected to the first link member with the axis of the idle gear as a connection point; and a support movable integrally with the spindle shaft and the first link member in a direction substantially orthogonal to the spindle shaft.
