【請求項１】 撮影した被写体像を表わす画像信号をディジタルの画像データとして記録するディジタルカメラにおいて、該カメラは、
撮影の際に押下されて、その被写体像の撮影を指示するレリーズボタンと、
前記画像データの記録位置を示すディレクトリを選択するディレクトリ選択スイッチと、
撮影により得られた前記画像信号を表示する表示手段と、
前記レリーズボタンおよび前記ディレクトリ選択スイッチの動作を判定するスイッチ判定手段と、
撮影された被写体像を表わす画像データが供給されるとともに、少なくとも２以上のディレクトリが設けられたデータ記録手段と、
該データ記録手段に撮影された被写体像を表わす画像データを記録するとともに、前記スイッチ判定手段の判定結果に基づいて前記データ記録手段のディレクトリを選択してその画像データを記録する記録制御手段と、
前記データ記録手段に記録された画像データを再生する再生手段とを含み、
該再生手段は、その再生の際に前記ディレクトリ選択スイッチに基づいて前記データ記録手段のディレクトリを選択して、選択したディレクトリに記録された画像データを前記表示手段に再生することを特徴とするディジタルカメラ。
【請求項２】 請求項１に記載のカメラにおいて、該カメラは、前記ディレクトリを作成し、作成したディレクトリに対して再生許可に用いるパスワードを設定する許可設定手段を含み、
該カメラは、再生にて前記パスワードの設定されたディレクトリを選択し、前記パスワードの入力に応じて該ディレクトリに記録された画像データを前記表示手段に再生することを特徴とするディジタルカメラ。
【請求項３】 請求項１に記載のカメラにおいて、該カメラは、前記画像データを前記表示手段に表示させながら、前記ディジタル選択スイッチの動作に応じて該画像データを記録させる記録制御手段を含むことを特徴とするディジタルカメラ。
【請求項４】 請求項１に記載のカメラにおいて、該カメラは、前記ディレクトリに記録された画像データを、コマ送りに読み出す手段と、
前記画像データを前記表示手段に表示させながら、前記ディジタル選択スイッチの動作に応じて該画像データを記録させる記録制御手段を含むことを特徴とするディジタルカメラ。
【請求項５】 請求項１に記載のカメラにおいて、前記ディレクトリ選択スイッチは、通常オフとされ押下した際にオンとなる常開スイッチであり、撮影の際に押下されるレリーズボタンの近傍にその押下の際にオン／オフ自在に設けられて、該ディレクトリ選択スイッチの押下とともに、前記レリーズボタンを押下した際にその撮影された被写体像を表わす画像データを前記データ記録手段の他のディレクトリに記録し、前記レリーズボタンのみの押下の際にその撮影の際の画像データを前記データ記録手段の所定のディレクトリに記録することを特徴とするディジタルカメラ。
