2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a wall panel has a plurality of columns erected at predetermined intervals between rail members respectively fixed to a ceiling surface and a floor surface, and a panel is mounted between adjacent columns by fitting from the front side. Various devices are provided. For example, as disclosed in JP-A-11-50567, a plurality of columns are erected between a ceiling rail and a ground rail fixed to a ceiling surface and a floor surface, respectively, and a plurality of panels are mounted via the columns. A wall panel device comprising: a lower portion of a panel supported by a panel support attached to a lower end portion of the column, and upper ends of adjacent panels and upper ends of the columns connected by a ceiling connector. The support has a holding portion having a substantially T-shaped cross section on at least the front surface of the support, and the panel has an engagement edge provided with a U-shaped groove on both side edges to be fitted to the support, and the adjacent support is provided. There is provided a structure in which a panel can be attached by fitting from the front side.

Here, since the upper and lower ends of the panel are arranged so as to overlap with the outer surfaces of the top rail and the ground rail having a U-shaped cross section, the ceiling surface, the upper end surface of the panel and the outer surface of the top rail are located at the upper part. In addition, in the lower part, an open groove is formed on the front surface side between the floor surface, the panel lower end surface and the outer surface of the ground rail, and this groove impairs the appearance and causes dust and dirt to accumulate. . Furthermore, since the panels themselves are manufactured under quality control at the factory, the vertical dimensions are accurate, but the space between the ceiling and floor at the place where the panels are installed is relatively inaccurate. In some cases, the widths of the grooves may greatly differ from each other. In such a case, a problem occurs that the appearance is greatly impaired.

There is also provided a wall panel device having a structure in which upper and lower ends of the panel are accommodated in concave grooves of a top rail and a ground rail. However, when a panel is mounted between adjacent columns by fitting from the front side. , The top rail has its concave groove facing downward, and the ground rail has its concave groove facing upward, fixed to the ceiling surface and floor surface, respectively, and stands upright between the central parts of each groove,
The upper edge of the panel is inserted into the groove of the top rail while the upper and lower engaging edges of both sides of the panel are slid upward while fitting the engaging edges on both sides of the panel to both holding parts of the adjacent columns from the upper side, and complete the engaging edges on both sides. After fitting into both holding portions of the column, the operation procedure is such that the panel is slid downward, which requires much labor and labor.

The thickness of the plate portion 9A of the first engaging claw 9 is larger than the thickness of the plate portion 10A of the second engaging claw 10, and the projection height of the claw portion 9B of the first engaging claw 9 Is set higher than the protruding height of the claw portion 10B of the second engagement claw 10. Accordingly, the first engaging ridge 6 of the rail member 1 distant from the panel 3 is set to have a higher projecting height than the other second engaging ridge 7. Further, the length of the second engaging claw 10 is set shorter than the length of the first engaging claw 9 so that even if there is some dimensional error, the fitting can be performed in the fitting groove 5 without rattling.

Since the cover member 4 is constructed as described above, the second engaging claw 10 is more resilient than the first engaging claw 9 and the first engaging ridge 6 of the first engaging claw 9 is provided. The locking force of the second engaging claw 10 on the second engaging ridge 7 is weaker than the locking force on the second engaging claw 10. Thereby, when the cover member 4 is attached to a predetermined position of the rail member 1 from the front side, when the two engaging claws 9 and 10 are inserted into the fitting grooves 5 of the rail member 1, the first engaging claws 9 When it is over the first engaging ridge 6 and is locked, the second engaging claw 10 is deformed and locked to the second engaging ridge 7 at substantially the same time, and the decorative plate 8 is bent outward and its distal end is bent. The part presses the surface of panel 3. Further, when it becomes necessary to remove the cover member 4, if the leading end of the decorative plate 8 is forcibly turned, first the second engaging claw 10 comes off the second engaging ridge 7, The 1 engaging claw 9 comes off the first engaging ridge 6. At this time, if the second engaging claw 10 is hard to be disengaged from the second engaging ridge 7, the second engaging claw 10 is forcibly forced by a jig such as a screwdriver inserted through a gap between the decorative plate 8 and the panel 3. It is possible to easily remove it by deforming it and separating it from the second engaging ridge 7.

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 15 and 16, the upper part of the wall panel device is a glass panel 65. The glass panel 65 is mounted on the top rail 13.
In a space surrounded by the upper frame 66 attached to the upper frame 66, the side frames 67, 67 attached to the adjacent columns 2, 2 and the intermediate frame (not shown), packings 68, 69, 69 resiliently respectively. Is held. Here, the upper frame 6
6 has, at its upper part, a projection 70 fitted into the concave groove 11 of the rail member 1 and a frame 71 having the same thickness as the surface of the panel 3 mounted on the column 2. are doing. Further, in the vicinity of the opening of the concave groove 11 of the rail member 1, there are provided engaging grooves 72, 72 which are opened inward, and project from the front and rear surfaces of the protrusion 70 in the engaging grooves 72, 72. By engaging the dowels 73, 73, the upper frame 66 is attached to the rail member 1. A groove 74 for fitting the packing 68 is formed on the lower surface of the upper frame 66, and a groove 75 for fitting the packing 69 is formed on the inner surface of the side frame 67. . The side frame 67 is fitted around substantially half of the column 2.

According to the wall panel apparatus of the first aspect of the present invention, a plurality of columns are erected at predetermined intervals between rail members fixed to the ceiling surface and the floor surface, respectively, and the distance between adjacent columns is determined. A wall panel device comprising a panel attached to a ceiling member, a floor surface, or a wall surface at least along a surface of a rail member fixed to the ceiling surface, a floor surface, or a wall surface. An engagement ridge is formed along the groove on both side surfaces of the inside, and a long cover member having a decorative plate is fitted into the engagement groove, and both engagement ridges are retained and locked. Since two parallel engaging claws are protruded, a cover member is fitted to the rail member, and the edge of the panel is concealed with a decorative plate. It can be performed only by the mating work from the side Since hides the periphery of the panel in the veneer of the cover member, the peripheral portion and the ceiling surface of the panel, the appearance between the floor or the wall can be improved. According to the second aspect, the decorative plate of the cover member is elastically pressed against the surface of the panel. According to the third aspect, even if there is a slight dimensional error between the rail member and the cover member, the rail member and the cover member can be fitted without looseness in the fitting groove, and the cover can be easily removed even when the cover member needs to be removed. The member can be removed from the rail member. According to the fourth aspect, both the engagement claws of the cover member can be easily fitted and locked to the two engagement protrusions formed in the engagement grooves of the rail member, and the cover member is removed. Even when the need arises, the cover member can be easily removed from the rail member.
