Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 放射ビームにより光学的記録媒体に情報を書き込む光学的記録装置において 、 記録媒体に一連のテストパターンを、各パターン毎に異なる値の書込みパラメ ータで書き込む第1ステップと、 これらのテストパターンを読み取って対応する読取信号を形成する第2ステ ップと、 各読取信号から読取りパラメータの値を取り出し、読取りパラメータ対書込 みパラメータの関数を形成する第3ステップと、 前記関数の導関数のプリセット値に基づいて書込みパラメータの最適値を選 択する第4ステップと、 を具える書込みパラメータの最適値を設定する方法において、 前記第4ステップは前記プリセット値を記録媒体から読み取るサブステップ を含むことを特徴とする書込みパラメータの最適値設定方法。 2. 前記導関数は、前記関数の書込みパラメータに関する導関数を導出し、これ に書込みパラメータと読取りパラメータとの比を乗算することにより決定される 正規化導関数であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 3. 前記第4ステップは、前記関数の導関数を決定するサブステップと、前記プ リセットレベルと交差する該導関数の値を決定するサブステップを含むことを特 徴とする請求項1又は2記載の方法。 4. 前記第3ステップは、読取りパラメータ及び書込みパラメータの値に曲線を あてはめて読取りパラメータと書込みパラメータとの関係を定める関数を決定す ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 5. 前記記録パラメータは放射ビームの書込みパワーレベルの値であることを特 徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 6. 前記読取りパラメータは媒体に記録された情報から得られる読取信号の振幅 の変調度であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 7. 書込みパラメータの可制御値に依存して情報書込み用放射ビームを発生する 放射源と、一連のテストパターンを、各パターン毎に異なる値の書込みパラメ ータで書き込む制御ユニットと、これらのパターンを読み取り、対応する読取信 号を形成する読取ユニットと、各読取信号から読取りパラメータの値を取り出し 、読取りパラメータ対書込みパラメータの関数を形成する第1プロセッサと、前 記関数の導関数のプリセット値に基づいて書込みパラメータの最適値を導出する よう作動的に接続された第2プロセッサとを具える光記録媒体に情報を書き込む 光学的記録装置において、当該装置は前記プリセット値を媒体から読み取る読取 ユニットを具え、且つ該読取ユニットの出力端子が前記プリセット値を伝送する よう前記第2プロセッサに接続されていることを特徴とする光学的記録装置。 8. 前記第2プロセッサは前記関数の導関数を導出し、該導関数と前記プロセッ サ値との交点を決定するよう作動的に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項7 記載の装置。 9. 前記導関数は前記導関数に書込みパラメータと読取りパラメータとの比を乗 算するこにより形成される正規化導関数であることを特徴とする請求項7記載の 装置。 10.前記書込みパラメータは放射ビームの書込みパワーレベルであることを特徴 とする請求項7記載の装置。 11.前記読取りパラメータは読取信号の振幅であるころを特徴とする請求項7記 載の装置。
