Dry and filter. The filtrate is concentrated using a water pump vacuum and the residue is
After aging with tel, the crystalline product obtained is isolated by suction filtration.
Thus, 1.29 g (56% of theory) of N- (4,6-dimethyl-
Pyrimidin-2-yl) -N '-(4-methyl-2-i-propoxycarbonyl
-Thien-3-yl-sulfonyl) -urea, mp 223 ° C.
As in Preparation Examples 1 to 3 and according to the general description of the preparation method according to the invention
For example, the compounds of formula (I) listed in Table 1 below may be prepared.
It is possible. Example of use:
In the use examples, the following compounds are used as comparative substances:
N- (4-cyclopropyl-6-methoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl
) -N '-(2-methoxycarbonyl-4-methyl-thien-3-yl-sulfo
Nyl) -urea (known from EP 207609)Example A
Pre-emergence test
Solvent: 5 parts by weight acetone
Emulsifier: 1 part by weight of alkylaryl polyglycol ether
To produce a suitable preparation of the active compound, 1 part by weight of active compound is added in the amount indicated.
Mix with solvent, add the indicated amount of emulsifier, and concentrate this concentrate with water to the desired concentration.
Dilute.
The seeds of the test plants are sown in normal soil. After about 24 hours, the active compound
Is sprayed. Advantageously, the amount of water per unit area is kept constant. In the formulation
The active compound concentration is not important, only the active compound application rate per unit area.
It is a problem.
After three weeks, the extent of damage to the plants was compared to the development of untreated controls.
To evaluate the percentage of damage.
The numbers are shown as follows:
0% = no effect (same as untreated control)
100% = 100% killed
In this test, for example, Production Examples 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 14, 16,
18, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, 33, 37, 38, 39 and 41
The compound comprises 30 to 125 g of a. i. Application rate, against weeds
And exhibit significantly stronger activity than the known compound (A); see Tables A-1 to A-6
.

Post-emergence test
Solvent: 5 parts by weight acetone
Emulsifier: 1 part by weight of alkylaryl polyglycol ether
To produce a suitable preparation of the active compound, 1 part by weight of active compound is added in the amount indicated.
Mix with solvent, add the indicated amount of emulsifier, and concentrate this concentrate with water to the desired concentration.
Dilute.
A test plant having a height of 5 to 15 cm is provided with a specific amount of activated compound required per unit area.
The formulation of the active compound is sprayed on in such a way as to apply a substance. The concentration of the spray solution is
The required amount of active compound in each case is selected to be applied at 1000 l of water / ha
You.
After 3 weeks, the degree of damage to the plant was compared to the development of the untreated control,
Evaluate in percentage%.
The numbers are shown as follows:
0% = no effect (same as untreated control)
100% = 100% killed
In this test, for example, Production Examples 11, 13, 14, 19, 20, 25, 2
Compounds 7 and 39 are applied to weeds at an application rate of 8 g-60 per hectare.
And exhibit significantly stronger activity than the known compound (A); see Tables B-1 to B-2
